I like that I can control the speed of the scroll and easily upload my scripts to the app. I use it on my iPad which I place on my teleprompter equipment and it works perfectly so that I can be looking at the camera on my phone while reading the script mirrored from the app. ### 2/5 — Teleprompter Pro *2026-08-25, version 3.79.0* Great app- but the app often has trouble pairing to another device to remote control. Often results in awkward waiting times while on set troubleshooting. ### 5/5 — Not good for landscape mode on mobile devices *2026-08-18, version 3.79.0* This app needs a bit more work for users wanting to use teleprompter in landscape mode on their mobile device. You are not able to position your script to the far left of the screen where the camera lens is located so that you are looking directly in the camera when speaking. It appears you can only position the script in the center, which means it looks like you’re looking off in the distance and not making eye contact. After at least a half hour of trying to shift the script, I finally stopped trying and decided to use the Video Teleprompter app instead. This one automatically shifts your script to the far left next to the camera lens when you’re in landscape mode on your mobile device. Looks like they considered this feature a bit more when making the app. Hopefully Teleprompter pro gets this fixed. ### 3/5 — Teleprompter *2026-08-18, version 3.79.0* Teleprompter seems to work well and has a lot of useful feature's in the free version. After twenty flubbed takes I finally looked into teleprompters, this came up first, so I tried it. It worked so well, (got the take done in one!) I decided to buy the one year subscription, if for no other reason to support the developer. The advanced features are pretty useful, you can use your portrait mode on the iPad for the video, as well as several other video tweaks. it was super easy to use, and I will never attempt to “just wing it” again. A genuine time saver, and the video looks more professional not having to slice and dice every third sentence! It doesn’t matter which is the host or which is the remote. It used to work about 3 years ago. Crashes half the time you try to connect a remote, and the other half it connects but the scroll is jumpy. Only after multiple attempts and the most delicate of troubleshooting can you make it work once. Using it the next day in a different location? Totally different rules. Upgrading to pro is totally useless.
