## What is TelePromptly?

TelePromptly is a teleprompter that keeps up with how you actually speak. Turn on Voice mode and the script scrolls as you read it, on your device, with no account and no internet connection required.

WRITE OR IMPORT
• Paste from the clipboard or import PDF, Word, Markdown, and plain-text files. Headings, stage directions, and gesture cues are detected and kept out of the spoken text.
• A block editor with roles for headings, spoken text, subtext, pauses, and gestures. Inline markup like [look up] becomes a cue automatically.
• Find and replace, undo and redo, version history, tags, and word and time counters as you type.

PRESENT THREE WAYS
• Voice: the prompter listens and scrolls as you speak. Ad-lib, skip ahead, restart a sentence, or paraphrase and it stays with you. Read words simply dim.
• Timed: steady scrolling at a target pace that calibrates itself from your last rehearsal.
• Manual: scroll with a finger, at any speed.

BUILT FOR THE STAGE
• Large type, adjustable line spacing and margins, a reading line, and high-contrast themes for reading at arm's length.
• Mirror modes for beam-splitter rigs, a countdown, and a screen that never sleeps mid-talk.
• Pace glow tints the edges when you are running fast or slow, so you never have to look for a number.

REHEARSE WITH FEEDBACK
• Every Voice session ends with a delivery score, your average pace against a healthy band, time taken against your target, and a pace-over-time chart.
• Details show where you ad-libbed, skipped, or restarted, so the next run is tighter.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Speech recognition runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device model. Audio is never recorded, stored, or uploaded.
• Scripts sync through your own private iCloud database. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party code.
