### 2/5 — No sound

*2016-01-30, version 2.5*

I think this would be a great app, as most of their apps are... But there is no sound. Settings are all in the correct position, but still nothing.

### 2/5 — Not for learning to tell time

*2014-08-06*

The description of this app made me believe this was a good choice for introducing and learning how to actually tell time. It is not an app for that. It is simply a practice app for those that already know how to tell time. Totally not worth the .99 I paid.

### 4/5 — Telling Time

*2013-11-15, version 2.5*

This is an excellent app!!! There needs to be a set # to achieve a new level or a prize. Thank you much.

### 2/5 — Not really worth 0.99

*2013-11-02, version 2.5*

Just don't

### 4/5 — Nice, Simple and does the job!

*2013-05-16*

Thank you. I appreciate being able to use the correct answer feedback for child use and the ability to turn them off for use with adult stroke patients. Very versatile. I would love to have the ability to decide how many to present. If I could set it to stop after 10 or 20 clocks, it would be easy to count the errors and recognize a percentage while paying attention to the client instead of marking the chart. 2 dings in 10 clocks is 80% correct. Please consider. Love it.

### 4/5 — Good learning tool

*2013-04-18, version 2.5*

In kindergarten she's already learning time so this did help her in VPK.

### 3/5 — Aa

*2012-10-16*

A little disappointing that you can't set an option to hear "quarter past number" rather than "number 15". Or quarter to 10 rather than 9:45"

### 3/5 — Good, could be great

*2012-08-18*

Helps my 5-yr old build confidence in telling time. I recorded a custom sound but the app crashes every time I try to give it a name. So custom sound doesn't get used--inexcusable for paid app. Suggestions: add a module that shows a larger clock face that can be used to count minute tick-marks (not touch sensitive). Make the hands moveable to demonstrate how second hand, big hand & small hand work together. An advanced option to mix in different styles of clock faces would be nice.

### 4/5 — Great app for quizzing

*2012-07-31*

Great app. Taught my child to recognize full hour first, then half hour, working on quarter past and quarter to. You can customize the settings, and it will quiz your child. Child will need help in understanding the clock from parent, so don't think it will teach your child for you!!

### 2/5 — Time

*2012-07-01*

Keeps freezing good app if this didn't happen

### 2/5 — Others are much better

*2012-06-30*

Gets very repetitive

### 2/5 — good, but too easy for 2nd graderdc

*2012-03-26, version 2.5*

I got this for my 2nd grader to practice "quarter of" and "quarter after"…even though it says it can do that, it doesn't do it specifically,
it got too easy for her too fast. not enough hard levels.
good bye .99

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Most boring app ever invented

*2019-11-19*

This is the most boring and disengaging app I’ve ever paid money for. Incredibly repetitive and not fun for kids to use at all.

### 1/5 — Since new update with IOS9 this app doesn't work at all, and I bought this app

*2015-09-29, version 2.5*

Since new update with IOS9 this app doesn't work at all, and I bought this app. My daughter usually enjoy play and learn the time. PLEASE fix the bug and the problem.

### 1/5 — Defective app

*2014-11-12, version 2.5*

This app has only worked once since I purchased it...extremely disappointed

### 1/5 — Owner

*2013-09-22, version 2.5*

All I get is 3 clocks to look at. No text. What's the point? Not a game at all.

### 1/5 — How on earth are you meant to use this app?

*2013-04-30*

Totally useless, maybe it isn't compatible with os5, I don't know, but on my ipad1 it doesn't do anything. Don't bother with this.

### 1/5 — Instructions??

*2012-12-12*

I downloaded this app to help my son with telling the time. There are no instructions. 3 clock faces appear. One highlights red when touched? Am I being thick? Be nice ;0)

### 1/5 — Crashes in edit mode

*2012-09-18*

This app crashes continually when you go in to edit. Not worth it.

### 1/5 — Telling time

*2012-09-02, version 2.5*

The app looked terrific & seemed great... Except there was no sound. ALL Grasshopper app downloaded this way. I'll change my review if customer service responds with a refund or repair. Very disappointing. Never had this problem with an app before-

### 1/5 — Total waste

*2012-07-10, version 2.5*

I thught this app would teach my son to tell time but all it doesis present various images and ask him to recognize the correct one.

### 1/5 — North American time keeping only.

*2012-04-27*

This is a great app to a point. The following note touches on .. Differences between North America and the rest of the English speaking world as well as a brief note to digital clocks and 24 hour.
Everywhere outside North America tells the time in a different manner. So this includes Ireland, England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya etc.... And importantly all school english as taught in Europe.
The customisable aspect can of course counter this.. And for this reviewer on a personal positive ... As our children are Spanish - English bi lingual we use this customisable aspect in all this company's apps. But in this case the difference requires a massive undertaking.
By way of help. The US tells the time more akin to a digital clock ..ie 9:40 where as the rest of english speakers say "twenty to ten" (not 'before' as is the case in the US also) Or 11.30 ..we say half past 11.00. Obviously we know what Americans are saying .. But it's not 'how we roll, here. As a side .. In Spanish they say the time similarly to english (but obviously in Spanish!). Not sure if this difference is similarly reflected in South America.

As this is a purchase app .. It may be better to label North American Only.

Digital And 24 hour NOTE:
It would be nice to have this option included for progression.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Cool game

*2013-05-02*

Very helpful for kids knowing time

### 5/5 — Great app!!!

*2013-01-16*

This is a great app for teaching time. My son started using this app a few month ago right be for he turned 5 and he is learning how to tell time much faster than I thought he would , thanks to this app!

### 5/5 — A simple and enjoyable game....

*2012-11-18*

..... Loved by my daughters and it really helps them learn how to tell the time. The best part is that it is easily customised so that the control on how much progression takes place is fully given to the user. Fantastic. Thanks developers, my kids love it and I am very thankful.

### 5/5 — Verbal times that you need to match

*2012-09-22*

Great app that you customize for difficulty. This sets it apart from other apps that just match clock to digital time. Recommended

### 5/5 — Excellent app as always!

*2012-09-04*

Thank you for another excellent app.

### 5/5 — Clock

*2012-07-28*

I love this clock. I use it for my learning disabled granddaughter and it is great. You can make it as simple as possible, with the choice of how many clock faces to show,to how many minutes after the hour to ask. It would be great for any child but especially for a slower child.

### 5/5 — Xcellent

*2012-06-29*

Great app it was really useful for helping my 8 yr old.

### 5/5 — Excellent app.

*2012-05-01, version 2.5*

Start with quartered hour & add increments as student gets it!! Love it!

### 5/5 — Brenda

*2012-02-27, version 2.5*

Love this app!

### 5/5 — Fantastico!

*2012-02-10*

I love that I can customize the positive reinforcement on this "game". My daughter's face when she heard me tell her that she made me proud was priceless. She continues the "game" of finding the right clock just so she can hear me tell her how great she's doing! I just re-recorded it in Spanish! :)

As my wish list for future updates:
The ability to choose how many problems to solve.
Time limit would be nice.
Achievements or best time recording.
Reverse it. Choose the time that the clock displays.

Overall great app. I've also bought more grasshopper apps because this one turned out so well.
