## What is TempoScope?

Hold your phone up to the music and it finds the tempo and key in real time. Drop in an audio file and it pulls tempo, key, and the chord progression in one pass.

· Live detection — tempo (BPM) and key from the microphone, as it plays
· Delay and reverb times — milliseconds worked out from the detected BPM. Straight, dotted, triplet

■ About accuracy

Measured against 13 tracks with known answers: tempo was right on 13, key on 12. That is a small sample, so treat it as a guide. Chord detection is well below that and is a reference aid only — it goes wrong most often on ballads with dense harmony. Check it yourself with the free 60 seconds before you decide.

■ No internet needed

All analysis runs on your device. No account, no server, no ads. Audio from the microphone is used only for analysis — never recorded, never sent anywhere.

■ Detect tempo while music plays
Leave it listening and it finds where songs change, splitting them into a list (lifetime purchase). Saving the song playing right now by hand is free for the first three.

■ Per-bar tempo maps
Map a song that changes tempo or meter partway through — bars 1-10 at 4/4 120, bars 11-25 at 3/4 89. Tap a section to start there, or loop just the hard one. Building and playing maps is free.

■ Edit maps from the setlist
Open a song's map from the song editor or from practice mode. While practising, change the tempo of the section that is playing and save it back to the song (lifetime purchase).

■ The live number stops flickering
The BPM used to appear and vanish. Now a steady reading stays on screen, and when the song changes it moves to the new tempo.

■ The metronome goes two-column too
On iPad and Mac the metronome tab splits in two — playing on the left, sound on the right. Type in the live tab is larger as well.
