Sonst ist die ganze App in englischer Sprache. Sie ist auf Englisch voreingestellt, obwohl sie laut App Beschreibung auch auf Deutsch verfügbar sein soll. Klicke ich auf die Spracheinstellung erscheint jedoch kein Auswahlmenü. It frequently disconnects and stops updating. The user interface also needs improvement. Suppose to send it back because the tip of one of them was left behind in a meat one day! Now. The New update “fixing bugs” appears to have taken the chart of the blue internal temp of the meat away! Third point I’m annoyed at is why is there only 2 cuts of Lamb Meat? Chops and rack? Who measures chops? What about leg of lamb and shoulder of lamb? Surely. 4 th annoying point. Why isn’t there a stall temp target eg for the brisket function? Then in the same function the final target? I think the programmers are not cooks it seems. I love whole idea and concept of what the probes attempt to predict. I like the connectivity of wifi. Yes you can view remotely but if the app is in the background meaning not the main app pulls up it will loose your cook history, and you will not be able to see your graph…! I would hope this is fixed soon. ### 2/5 — Not ready for release *2025-11-26* I thought they had released this app before it was ready to meet some deadline. But it’s been out for a year and still doesn’t work well. The record button doesn’t work and it drops connectivity without a notification. It’s the start of a decent app, but they need to spend some time working the bugs out. I’m very surprised Thermopro would let something like this have their name on it. They used to value quality. But functionality is lacking. There are bugs with the software. Major issue I have is that a BBQ session can’t be recorded. The button doesn’t do anything. Without the button working the estimated time to completion doesn’t work either. Another issue I have is this thing seems to read temperature about 10° F lower than actual. An IoT device failing to connect to a working 2.4Ghz WLAN is utterly contemptible. I have gone through many of these wireless BBQ thermometers over the years and never had any issue joining these IoT devices. I would be less furious if I could at least use the Bluetooth connection to facilitate its functionality, but the setup routine in the device insists on just using a successful Bluetooth connection to join your WiFi where I suspect a hardware bug is the root of the problem. I opened a support ticket detailing the device failure, the already done troubleshooting steps (delete/reinstall app, hard reset, rejoin BT, reboot router, blah blah), and my disgust for how this failed to work out of the box. It’s been 5 business days and not A SINGLE RESPONSE FROM SUPPORT! It’s a gimmick to sell the thermometer, but you’ll just need to watch the little square unit that the probe connects to. Even the first two times it worked, i had to have my phone near it, as going to another room in my 1100sf house, a scary loud alarm told me it disconnected. Once the firmware updated, the probes disappeared from the app and now it just shows a blank screen. I can’t start a cook or even select the probes to see the temperature in the booster unit. So I lose alarms and temp ranges. ### 1/5 — New firmware ruined TempSpike *2026-01-19* I have the TempSpike pro with 4 temp spikes. I updated the app and then it prompted firmware update as well. The device was 100% charged on the dock when update was completed. Afterwards the display is on but the device is now bricked. None of the buttons work, the light won’t even light the screen. I have attempted to hold the power button, attempted reset button on the back several times. The screen is powered on and nothing will work. So basically spent 50 plus to use three times. About 15 bucks for each use. Rebooted router, reinstalled app, rebooted phone, expunged many options to no avail. The notes section of each smoke has a very low character limit, makes taking notes on my smoke inconvenient. It’s like why have a notes section if there’s like a 250 character limit. ### 3/5 — Connection losses *2026-08-01* My thermometer has a stable WiFi connection but it appears offline sometimes when opening the app, requiring me to restart the recording and lose the temp graph. Additionally, the temp precision goes to the tenth of a degree when using the widget, but is the nearest whole degree in-app. ### 3/5 — Worked great but app update broke it *2026-02-22* The thermometer itself works great and I’ve had good luck with the app until the recent update which wont let me select Ambient in the probe settings to monitor the grill temp. 100% an app issue wish I could revert to an. Batteries out/ in, no go! Stinks would have bought cheaper unit if I didn’t want Bluetooth. Directions are clear as MUD! ### 3/5 — Disappointed *2025-08-19* I was ever so excited when ThermoPro came out with the TempSpike Pro, which I hoped would replace my ThermoWorks Signals. I’ve been using the TempSpikes Bluetooth for more than a year in my trailer. I really like the app. Silly me assumed the same app user experience would be available for the TempSpike Pro. Nope. This app is not a good user experience. Seems to constantly need to reconnect and most of the time it doesn’t connect before the watch goes to sleep which seems to start the process over. Also seem like if I have the app open on my phone, the app on the watch won’t connect but as soon as I force close the app on the phone, the watch will then connect. Notifications aren’t showing up on screen. Phone vibrates and you have to open app to find out why.
