## What is TempTraq?

TempTraq® is a wearable, Bluetooth continuous temperature monitor in the form of a soft, comfortable, single use patch. The patch senses, records and transmits body temperature for 24 or 48 hours via Bluetooth® 4.0 (LE) to an iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch® with Bluetooth 4.0 capability running the TempTraq app.  With TempTraq Connect, users may share local patch data in real time with other users running the TempTraq Connect app with an internet connection.

The app requires the TempTraq patch to function.  TempTraq is a Class II FDA cleared medical device and is only available for sale in the US.  The TempTraq app is only available for download in the US.

TempTraq allows a child to rest when they are ill with an elevated temperature.  There is no need to disturb the child to take a temperature measurement so the child can rest and the parents can be confident knowing their child's temperature.

TempTraq Patch
The TempTraq patch is designed to be worn with the sensor in the armpit area measuring axillary temperature.  TempTraq measures under-the-arm "axillary" temperature and this is converted to an oral temperature which is displayed in the TempTraq app. 

TempTraq App
The TempTraq app provides an intuitive and easy to use interface to view the temperature data transmitted from the patch.  
o  Displays both current and historical temperature data transmitted from the patch
o  Monitors multiple patches assigned to multiple children
o  Enables sharing of patch data with other TempTraq Connect users
o  Uses color to indicate temperature levels
    o Green – less than 100.4° F
    o Orange – equal to or greater than 100.4° F
    o Red – temperature equal to or greater than a user defined alert temperature
o  Displays temperature in either C or F  
o  Generates an alert on the smart device when the temperature is equal to or greater than a user defined alert temperature
o  Provides temperature history over the 24 or 48 hour use period of the patch in both graphical and data table views
o  Enables the user to enter notes for medication, baths, feeding and other events
o  Enables temperature data to be exported via e-mail as a .csv file

The TempTraq app is compatible with iPod touch, iPhone and iPad with Bluetooth 4.0 (LE) capability, running iOS 12.0 or later.

### 1/5 — Not reading an accurate temperature at all

Of course the idea is genius but this device is STILL reading 93.5 when a $10 forehead strip is getting me closer to my 6 month old’s actual fever, which is 100.6.

What a waste of money and stressful to find out that it doesn’t work, when my baby is actually sick!

### 3/5 — The patch and app and useful indicators but a frustrating User Interface

So I’ve just realized that the TempTraq Patient app has the most obvious feature that’s missing from this version of the app - a unit scale on the y-axis. With this version you have the threshold line at 100.4 and that it. If you want to know what any of the other temperatures are you have to go to the tabulated history view. Also when you open the app after a while it doesn’t give any clear indication that it’s refreshing data from the patch, or whether what’s being displayed is the most current. Maybe the pulsing Bluetooth icon is supposed to indicate that, but it’s not clear nor obvious.

I tried this patch and after six hours and the third time it alerted me my temperature had drastically dropped to 93 degrees, I gave up.  It wasn’t consistent, nor did it ever come close to what my ear thermometer read.   My fiancé could give me a better reading sticking his hand in my armpit than this patch did.   
Definitely would not recommend it to anyone.

I have a sick kiddo who already isn’t thrilled about this whole deal, and now the app won’t even allow me to enter the patch # to start it up. What the heck? Waste of money

### 5/5 — It works, it’s Bluetooth people

I read a lot a reviews on this as we were putting this on my daughter. I thought, oh great a useless product why did we bother getting it. But it worked and did what it was supposed to do. People keep saying that their app says no reading etc. Guess what mind did too in the middle of the night. It’s Bluetooth based. Bluetooth has a certain distance where it is effective. It’s not internet based where it would work anywhere. It’s like leaving your car while it’s still running in a parking lot and going into a store. Would you expect your phone calls to come into your car speakers there?

I woke up in the middle of the night. Took my phone with me to my daughter’s bedroom door with the app opened and waiting for a Bluetooth connection. And guess what?!??? It worked. So before you buy something or review something, know what you’re getting and its limitations. The product works. If I were to change anything I would say make the patches cheaper and make everyone buy a one time hub that connects to the WiFi for monitoring.  That way people can monitor anywhere in the house.

My son has febrile seizures and I thought this would be a great way to track when he’s sick. Never made it above 96 degrees. Don’t waste your money.

The app itself seemed to not have any issues but the temperature is not accurate. I checked my baby’s temperature with a thermometer to compare and it seemed the TempTraq always displayed about 2 degrees lower than an actually thermometer. I thought- okay, I’ll just modify the temperature to go off lower than a fever to make up the difference. Nope. You cannot have it notify you of a temperature less than 100.4. Even being inaccurate, I would have been happy using it and just adjusting the temperature to set the alarm off but you can’t even change that so it wasn’t much help since 2 degrees is pretty significant for a baby.

I read reviews before used was nervous, followed directions and bamm it’s amazing. I really love the temptraq connect, I’m home and wife can get info at work and she home I can some relief by getting the info when at work. I ordered more patches love it would give more stars if could.
