### 3/5 — The patch and app and useful indicators but a frustrating User Interface

*2020-09-18, version 2.1.0*

So I’ve just realized that the TempTraq Patient app has the most obvious feature that’s missing from this version of the app - a unit scale on the y-axis. With this version you have the threshold line at 100.4 and that it. If you want to know what any of the other temperatures are you have to go to the tabulated history view. Also when you open the app after a while it doesn’t give any clear indication that it’s refreshing data from the patch, or whether what’s being displayed is the most current. Maybe the pulsing Bluetooth icon is supposed to indicate that, but it’s not clear nor obvious.

### 2/5 — Not accurate

*2019-02-16, version 2.0.1*

The app itself seemed to not have any issues but the temperature is not accurate. I checked my baby’s temperature with a thermometer to compare and it seemed the TempTraq always displayed about 2 degrees lower than an actually thermometer. I thought- okay, I’ll just modify the temperature to go off lower than a fever to make up the difference. Nope. You cannot have it notify you of a temperature less than 100.4. Even being inaccurate, I would have been happy using it and just adjusting the temperature to set the alarm off but you can’t even change that so it wasn’t much help since 2 degrees is pretty significant for a baby.

### 1/5 — Nope.

*2018-06-02, version 2.0.1*

It’s been reading 94.4 since we put it on him two hours ago. (Yes, it is placed correctly.) Insanely annoying because he is only 13 months and has strep. He’s been running a very high fever and I was hoping this would help me get some peace of mind during the night AND keep me from having to wake him up to check his temp every few hours. Guess not. What a waste.

### 1/5 — My baby’s temp is not 93.9

*2018-05-20, version 2.0.1*

I’m using a replacement patch after the first one stopped working after 5 hours. My child is burning up and the patch reading has been at 93.9 for the last 45 minutes. Patch is placed correctly. Prior to these two faulty patches I had used the patch successfully with my daughter, so I know this isn’t user error. Getting a replacement on the 2nd patch was annoying. I emailed with all the information and had at least 4 back and forth emails requesting the same info I had already given. I don’t have time for that. I will not purchase again.

### 1/5 — Horrible product

*2018-05-17, version 2.0.1*

My baby had a temp of 100.1, the patch said her temp was 88.5. I looked up tips on the app for placement and re-adjusted 3 times before getting a “Patch Error, contact manufacturer for replacement” message. Replacement does me no good. My baby’s temp has been spiking up near 104 for days and I was hopeful this would monitor spikes while she slept so I could take action before her temp got that high. Also, the patch is bulky and at 11mo she was obviously irritated by wearing it. She had it on less than 5 minutes, and I don’t think she would have tolerated it longer.

### 1/5 — Terrible product

*2018-05-16, version 2.0.1*

Gave very inaccurate temperature readings. My son was running a fever all day and we measured 101 degrees on 2 other thermometers. Temptraq kept measuring 5-7 degrees lower than our other thermometers. Don’t waste your time or money on this terrible product

### 1/5 — This does not work!

*2018-05-15, version 2.0.1*

I watched the video and read the entire manual before applying the patch. It displayed information on my phone for only 30mins-1 hour and then stopped working. It only states “No recent data” inside the circle where the temperature is suppose to be displayed. I can understand if her temperature has not changed but it stopped showing readings at 10:34pm when I started it at 10:00pm. It is now 2:30am and I still am up to make sure my baby doesn’t wake with a fever again like she did last night. I bought this patch so I don’t have to wake her up when my poor baby already feels miserable to take her temperature. This is a HUGE waste of money but a great idea if it actually worked! I felt some sense of relieve when it first displayed a temperature only to be completely disappointed. I read the reviews but I thought I would give it a chance any way but from a mom to mom, try something else cause this will only upset you. I will be shopping for a similar product but from another maker with high reviews.

### 1/5 — So Upset

*2018-04-19, version 2.0.1*

This does not work! It keeps giving me crazy numbers. It says he has a 101.9 but the regular thermometer & temple thermometer say 98.9. Can’t believe I wasted $20 on this.

### 2/5 — Temp too low

*2018-02-17, version 2.0.1*

My babies temperature is currently reading 93.7. This is obviously wrong and my baby is asleep so I can’t readjust the patch (not sure that would help anyway). Would not recommend.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money.

*2018-02-03, version 2.0.1*

Can’t rate this low enough. I’ve tried this device twice several months apart. Both times it was placed correctly and it does not come close to getting an accurate temperature. Both times he has had a fever over 101 and this POS says 96 degrees.

**Developer response:** Hi again! Please reach out to us at info@temptraq.com or 440-249-5440 at your earliest convenience. Thanks!

### 3/5 — Patches work great

*2017-10-06, version 2.0.0*

The current version of the app needs some work. It has issues like, the entire history component doesn’t work. I hope a update fixes this soon.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2017-06-25, version 1.4.3*

All of the reviews are accurate in that it is not effective.
The worst part is that it is too rigid and does not stick. Imagine a sweaty baby with a fever. We bought another and even when dry it doesn't stick more than an hour.
Useless. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2017-06-24, version 1.4.3*

Is really expensive, and doesn't work

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not reading an accurate temperature at all

*2021-07-10, version 2.1.2*

Of course the idea is genius but this device is STILL reading 93.5 when a $10 forehead strip is getting me closer to my 6 month old’s actual fever, which is 100.6.

What a waste of money and stressful to find out that it doesn’t work, when my baby is actually sick!

**Developer response:** Hi Lunchboxangel! We would love to talk to you about your experience using TempTraq. Customer feedback is really helpful! Please email us at info@temptraq.com or call us at 440-249-5440. Thanks!

### 1/5 — So you’re saying I’m dead

*2020-07-21, version 2.1.0*

I tried this patch and after six hours and the third time it alerted me my temperature had drastically dropped to 93 degrees, I gave up. It wasn’t consistent, nor did it ever come close to what my ear thermometer read. My fiancé could give me a better reading sticking his hand in my armpit than this patch did.
Definitely would not recommend it to anyone.

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2020-05-01, version 2.0.1*

My daughter had a fever and it did not pick up on it

### 1/5 — Garbage product

*2020-03-22, version 2.0.1*

It doesn’t locate the patch. This is a waste of money.

### 1/5 — App won’t allow me to enter my patch

*2020-02-25, version 2.0.1*

I have a sick kiddo who already isn’t thrilled about this whole deal, and now the app won’t even allow me to enter the patch # to start it up. What the heck? Waste of money

### 1/5 — Totally worthless

*2019-02-25, version 2.0.1*

My son has febrile seizures and I thought this would be a great way to track when he’s sick. Never made it above 96 degrees. Don’t waste your money.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2018-12-14, version 2.0.1*

I put this on my son who is six after he took a bath as directed. It never registered 98 which is his normal temperature. It finally came off after about an hour. What a waste of money.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy

*2018-12-12, version 2.0.1*

I thought this was an awesome idea being that i kept having to check my kids temp all night. The app kept telling me he was 96.2 but when i would check on an actual thermometer he was actually 101.
It never read he had a fever and he had a fever the whole time.
Just doesn’t work for me and is pricey

**Developer response:** Hi again! Please reach out to us at info@temptraq.com or 440-249-5440 at your earliest convenience. Thanks!

### 1/5 — Great idea but total garbage

*2018-10-08, version 2.0.1*

It fell off easily, our child didn’t like it, it gave the wrong temperature, and only works one time. Other than that ...

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2018-09-28, version 2.0.1*

I was very disappointed with this product. I bought it at CVS because I loved the idea of being able to monitor my toddler’s temperature throughout the night without waking him when he’s sick. I was so glad to have a solution for keeping an eye on him throughout the night.

The reality of the Temp Traq monitor did not even remotely live up to my expect/hopes. I put it on my toddler exactly as instructed before putting him to bed with a rectal temperature of 102.4. I immediately knew the monitor was a bust because its initial reading started at 92 degrees. It climbed to 97.6 degrees over 10 minutes, nowhere near his actual temperature.

I was extremely disappointed in this product as the idea of being able to monitor my baby’s temperature at night was such a relief. It’s also extremely expensive, especially since it doesn’t work. Sadly, I won’t be purchasing this again.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — It works, it’s Bluetooth people

*2019-03-24, version 2.0.1*

I read a lot a reviews on this as we were putting this on my daughter. I thought, oh great a useless product why did we bother getting it. But it worked and did what it was supposed to do. People keep saying that their app says no reading etc. Guess what mind did too in the middle of the night. It’s Bluetooth based. Bluetooth has a certain distance where it is effective. It’s not internet based where it would work anywhere. It’s like leaving your car while it’s still running in a parking lot and going into a store. Would you expect your phone calls to come into your car speakers there?

I woke up in the middle of the night. Took my phone with me to my daughter’s bedroom door with the app opened and waiting for a Bluetooth connection. And guess what?!??? It worked. So before you buy something or review something, know what you’re getting and its limitations. The product works. If I were to change anything I would say make the patches cheaper and make everyone buy a one time hub that connects to the WiFi for monitoring. That way people can monitor anywhere in the house.

### 5/5 — Love it!!!!!!

*2018-12-19, version 2.0.1*

I read reviews before used was nervous, followed directions and bamm it’s amazing. I really love the temptraq connect, I’m home and wife can get info at work and she home I can some relief by getting the info when at work. I ordered more patches love it would give more stars if could.

### 5/5 — Will definitely be buying more of theses!

*2018-10-06, version 2.0.1*

I was a little skeptical about buying one of these given all the reviews I’ve read. But honestly I would recommend this to anyone. My son has been sick these past few days and we have been able to track his temp with this patch. I love how it doesn’t have that sticky feel like a bandaid, it’s really smooth like and really love how it doesn’t bother my son. Great product!

### 5/5 — Absolute life saver!!!

*2018-09-13, version 2.0.1*

There are a few glitches, but over al A+. I can set the alert temperature to my phone and during the night if my child’s temp rises about the set temp it will send a screaming alert. Thes patches also allow my kids to rest an me monitor them.. plus when I got to the dr I have documented their temp for the last 24rs..
Best Buy hard to get... I keep a pack on hand.

### 5/5 — Used multiple times no problems

*2018-07-12, version 2.0.1*

Have used multiple times on 18 month old. Have had no problems. Love the alarm on my phone to wake me when his temp goes too high. It’s expensive but worth it when my little one is really sick.

### 5/5 — So wonderfully helpful

*2017-10-23, version 2.0.0*

We got this when our little one was spiking a huge fever and did not want anything to do with us trying to take there temperature. We just put it on the armpit and we had Instant knowledge of whatTemperature they were running. And you can set a warning to go off on a certain temperature. Very useful and will definitely be purchasing again when the need arises.

### 5/5 — I keep these on hand

*2017-09-25, version 2.0.0*

These work phenomenal for my two toddlers. Wish I had these when they were babies. Excellent tool. We sleep more peaceful with it and our pediatrician appreciates the information.

### 5/5 — BEST INVENTION EVER!!

*2016-12-30, version 1.4.2*

My son has Leukemia so when he gets a low grade fever I need to make sure he doesn't spike a fever right after! Instead of bugging him to lift his arm or open his mouth I put this on him and sit back and relax! I wish I could give 100 stars this thing rocks, its soft on the body and easy to use. I recommend for any momma!

### 5/5 — Great Product

*2016-12-20, version 1.4.2*

I want to share with all the mama friends out there the coolest thing we discovered while little man was very sick. On his worst fever day with RSV Bronchiolitis, it got to 101.5. This was very dangerous, so we needed to give tylenol and recheck to make sure fever dropped. We didnt want to constantly have to upset our little boo by checking temps, and i wanted to see when it was rising. My hubby bought this and it worked amazing---it was $20 at publix and lasted only 24 hrs- BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. It worked the entire 24 hrs and we checked for accuracy when boo was awake- perfect readings. It gave a timed chart that helped us report to the pediatrician his temps. I loved this new tool. If your little one gets sick and you need to monitor closely for at least 24 hrs, this is the way to go.

### 4/5 — Device + Idea + App = 4/5

*2015-12-22, version 1.4.0*

Device is nothing without this free app yet it's missing an iPad interface,
There are no warning sound options (default warning tone is inadequate when you're sleeping) and you can't adjust the sound to your liking
The app must be ON so that you can receive warnings so it doesn't warn you like a push notification (there're numerous warnings to keep the app open)
