## What is Tenfold Films?

Ten scores. One number. Every film you've ever loved, ranked your way.

Most apps give you five stars. Five stars can't tell the difference between a film you loved and a film you admired. Tenfold asks ten questions instead — enjoyment, acting, characters, story, dialogue, pacing, sound, cinematography, theme, rewatchability — and folds your answers into one number out of 100. It's your scale, not a crowd's.

YOUR LIBRARY, RANKED
Every film you rate takes its place in a ranked library that's genuinely yours. Search it, filter it by genre, franchise or decade, and watch your all-time list take shape.

SEE YOUR TASTE
Stats turn a hundred ratings into a picture: your average by decade, your genres, your directors, every film plotted by year and score. The Wall lays your collection out in posters. The Timeline replays your watching life in order.

A WATCHLIST THAT KNOWS WHAT YOU'VE SEEN
Track franchises film by film, keep a want-to-watch list, and generate suggestions on-device — private by design.

PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE
Your ratings are yours alone. Notes are encrypted on your device before they ever leave it — nobody can read them, including us. No ads, no tracking, no feed. Your account exists so your films survive a lost phone, nothing more.

### 5/5 — My take

*2026-09-01*

In my 21 years of life, I have yet to see such crisp, intelligent and creative thinking rolled into one. Such rich timbre and gastronomic size complimenting each other so eloquently. Bra-vo. Mesmerizing. Was the review meant to be about the app or Stef?

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.3 — 2026-09-12

Badges are being rebuilt. The Badges tab shows the crew at work while the badges themselves are reworked — everything you have already earned is kept, and badges carry on being earned while this is up.

An actor or director's page now lists every movie they made, newest first, whether you have rated it or not. Pages for people whose movies you hadn't rated used to come up empty.

Bug fixes.

### 2.2 — 2026-09-11

Tenfold is on the Mac. One purchase covers your iPhone and your Mac — the same library, the same account, the same badges, with a sidebar in place of the tab bar.

Making an account now hands you a ticket. While your confirmation email is on its way, your ticket is on screen with your address printed on it, and a button that opens your mail app.

Tap the link in that email and the doors open.

The Library's search box now finds any movie, not only the ones you have rated. Your movies, the people in them, and everything you haven't rated yet, each under its own heading. Tap any of them to open its page.

A person's page now opens on their most recent movies, and the Directors and Actors tables in Stats show each person's face beside their name.

Moving between screens is quicker, on both. Long pages scroll all the way to the end — the last row used to hide behind the bar at the bottom.

### 2.1 — 2026-09-03

Movies you added before 2.0 fill themselves in. Cast, director and actor
photos, runtime, language and country — the same as a movie added by
search. Those pages were half empty, and now they are not.

Switching tabs is quick again.

Three sync fixes. Two devices earning the same badge at the same time no
longer stops your library syncing. Turning Comedy weighting on or off now
reaches your other devices. And a very large library no longer stalls
part-way through its first download.

When something hasn't uploaded yet, Settings now says what it is — "24
movies · 4 badges" — instead of only how many.

### 2.0 — 2026-09-01

Badges. 44 of them, across 176 ranks, measured from your own library — decades, directors, countries, runs finished, months in a row. Earn a rank and it is yours, even if the streak breaks.

Home is rebuilt: your library up top, everything you haven't seen below. Discover picks movies from the gaps in it. Tap any movie to read it — cast, crew, runtime, the lot — before you rate it.

Every person in a movie now has a page. One search covers your library, the people in it, and TMDB at once. Every viewing can carry the date you watched it, and every movie shows how long it is.

And Tenfold has its own tab bar.
