Exchange shop doesn’t even work *2025-09-19* Used to be fun, but for a long while I haven’t seen any updates and features have stopped working! There’s nothing new. There’s a skin feature where you can add an outfit…I haven’t seen one since I started playing!!! And then there are some gunman you can’t draw at all like the Arch Guren or the SP Mo Shogun! Upon coming back, my account(linked to apple ID) was deleted, and I was forced to start from the tutorial again after collecting a huge number of units. Massively disappointing, as this game had been a fun experience of my favorite anime. ### 2/5 — Repetitive, low quality, and nonsensical gameplay *2024-08-11, version 1.0.76* I’ve been a fan of the Gurren Lagann franchise for a while now, and I was originally very excited that I found out there was a mobile game that released with it. I was initially pleased with the high reviews it received, however, when I played it, it didn’t make sense. Firstly, the shops are pretty much useless considering you already get a ton of items already in game, meaning with time, you can eventually unlock all characters without spending a penny. My next complaint, is the EXTREME repetitiveness of the fighting aspect, and the over usage of the same Gunmen (I get there’s a limiting number, but couldn’t they have created a few new gunmen types?) It’s very weird seeing laughably not-to scale characters (even though some are kilometers tall), and the repetitiveness of… Human gunmen you fight instead of beastmen? Long, repetitive story mode, (40 worlds). Not worth any money spent on the game in my eyes. The summon Beastmen is cool and all, and you can get some cool characters like the Four Generals’ custom Gunmen, including Byakou, Sayrune, Shuzack, and Gember, as well as the Dai-Guns for Thymilph, Adiane, Cytomander, and Guame, but honestly, it’s not enough to warrant anything more than a 2 star. A lot of these feel very similar to Goddess of Vicory: Nikke, but at least with Nikke, you have a far more selection of characters, more interesting character development/bonding, and more freedom. The game completely lacks stories behind the Gunmen, just listing some facts that many Gurren Lagann fans probably already knew. I feel like if the humans, Beastmen, and pilots were playable too instead of just Gunmen, this game could have more potential. Disappointing game for sure, overall, 2 out of 5 ### 1/5 — Deleted my account *2024-07-11* Tried to recover when logged out and all they said was “Dear, if you have not log in the game last time over 14 days and did not recharge in game, team will clear the character and progress.” Even had it linked to Facebook and account id number plus screen shots ### 1/5 — Full server issue *2024-05-23, version 1.0.76* Every server I try to join is full regardless of the color, even the green servers say they’re full.
