## What is Tenkt?

Seven kinds of logic puzzle. A new set every morning.

Everyone gets the same puzzles on the same day. Between five and eight of them, from a gentle opener to the centerpiece. Solve them, hold your streak, and see your time against everyone else who played today.

THE SEVEN GAMES

Placement. One diamond in every row, column and colour zone. None of them may touch, not even corner to corner.

Balance. Sun and moon in equal numbers, and never three of a kind in a row.

Grid. Every number once per row, column and box.

Pathfinder. One path through every open cell, meeting the numbers in order.

Flow. Connect the colour pairs and fill the board. No crossing.

Area. Divide the board into rectangles. Each holds one number, and the number is its area.

Pattern. A rack of coloured rings, and the arrangement you are copying. One ring at a time, top of the peg only. Six of these games ask you to find the answer. This one shows you the answer and asks for the order.

Every board has exactly one solution, and it is proved before you ever see it. In Pattern the finish is in plain sight, and what is proved instead is par, the shortest route to it. The boards are built on your device from the date, so nobody gets an easier day than anyone else.

MARATHON

One attempt per day. One puzzle at a time against the clock, and the difficulty climbs the longer you hold. No hints, no undo. The run ends when the timer does.

TRAINING

Any type, any difficulty, no clock and no rank. For when you want to sit with a board.

ALSO

A quiet daily leaderboard, anonymous, no accounts.
Marks for what you have done, and traces you earn by playing.
Seven themes.
Works offline.

Free to play. Optional purchases remove the ads or speed up how quickly you earn traces. Every puzzle, mode and difficulty is free.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.2 — 2026-08-31

Grid is easier where easy is the point

The easiest level is 4x4 again. It became 6x6 in the last update, and although the rules were simple the board was nearly empty, so you had to make more than twenty correct deductions in a row before it came out. That is not a warm up, it is an exam.

Medium now starts you with more numbers filled in too. Hard and Expert are unchanged. They are meant to be hard.

Marathon gives Grid the time it takes

The Marathon clock assumed every puzzle type costs the same at the same level. A grid has the most cells to fill and two taps per cell, so it always lost that arithmetic. Grid now gets half again as long as before. A medium grid has gone from 140 to 210 seconds.

### 1.6.1 — 2026-08-26

A seventh game: Pattern.

A rack of pegs holding coloured rings, and above the board, the arrangement you are copying. Take the top ring off a peg, drop it on a peg that has room, and keep going until the two match.

There are no wrong moves here, only longer ways round. The puzzle is the order. A ring cannot go home until the rings beneath it are home, so you have to dig in the right sequence with very little room to park anything. Rings already in place get a gold rim, so you can see what is finished. Par is the shortest possible number of moves, and it is proved for every board.

Pattern joins the daily set, Marathon and Training alongside the other six.

Dragging is smoother.

Pathfinder no longer lags behind a fast finger, and a quick reverse cuts the whole tail at once. Flow has had the same treatment. Both boards redraw more calmly, and sweeping quickly past a cell you cannot use no longer costs you time.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-20

All six games have been rebuilt.

Every board now has to prove it has exactly one solution, with the extra rules counted as part of the proof. Difficulty is measured by what a board demands of you, not by how big it is. Grid asks for deeper techniques. Pathfinder gives you more real decisions. Flow is no longer a walk. Area no longer hands you one huge rectangle.

The main screen is new. Your day is a path: what you solved, what is next, and the centerpiece waiting further down.

The streak now holds at two thirds of the set. Seven puzzles out of eight used to count for nothing.

The preview on the card no longer shows the real board, and the clock does not start until you do.

Friends has been taken out. It never found its footing.

Plus a long list of smaller repairs, including one that could quietly take a finished day away from your streak.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-06-21

A new puzzle type: Areal.

Divide the grid into rectangles. Each rectangle holds exactly one number, and that number is its area, meaning how many cells the rectangle covers. No overlaps, no gaps, and every board has a single solution.

Areal is fully part of the daily round, Marathon and training, alongside the other five types.

We also polished the rest of the app, including better readability on iPad.

### 1.4.2 — 2026-06-09

A new app icon: a gold T on deep blue.

Your statistics now reflect only your daily puzzles and Marathon. Training no longer counts toward them, so your records and history stay true to real attempts.

Leaderboard ranking is now accurate even on the busiest days, when hundreds of players share the same puzzles.

Quiet cleanup under the hood.
