User reviews

Good idea raw execution

Decided to record a match with TennisCut. Really liked the idea - SW definitely needs a good competition.

Unfortunately all the points in the final video start way too early - a person bounces the ball a few times, maybe do a re-toss. Then all the points without exception cut short, maybe about a second or two. So frustrating.

Even worse, I was not able to get the full footage to see the match myself - this is just inexcusable and should not happen - my camera app would’ve done a better job.

Updated the rating from 1 to 3 stars for developers response. If they keep going on this would be a great app

Response from developer

Hi Alex, thanks for the detailed feedback, and for liking the concept. Honest reviews like this are exactly what help us improve. First, the part that frustrated you most: unless you chose to delete the original, TennisCut keeps the complete, uncut recording on your device, and you can open, watch, or export it right from the app. And if you did delete it through the app, no need to worry: the recording stays in the Recently Deleted album in Photos for 30 days, so you can recover it from there. You're also right that the points start too early (the ball bounces before the serve) and end a beat short. The automatic cut isn't perfect yet, and we're actively improving it: trimming the extra footage before the serve and leaving a little more room at the end of each point. In the meantime, you can adjust the start and end of every point yourself with the rally editing and trim tools inside the app, so the cut you want is already within reach. Thanks again for taking the time. We hope this clears a few things up, and if your experience has changed, we'd really appreciate it if you'd reflect that in your review and rating.

Well made

Well made app but should at least allow one import and analysis so I know it actually works.
