## What is TennisLedger?

The Live Ball app. Score group practice, then email every player a beautiful session report with analytics & heatmap. Plus match scoring, workout games & Apple Watch.

Description:

TennisLedger is your on-court scoring companion for iPhone and Apple Watch. Track shots, score matches, and play workout games — all from your wrist.

Built for Live Ball — Like No Other App
Plenty of apps score a match. Almost none understand Live Ball, the rally-based group practice format coaches and clubs actually run. TennisLedger does — and it turns every session into something you can share. When a session ends, email a beautifully formatted report to everyone who played: a points leaderboard, winners and unforced errors, team pairing breakdowns, and a visual Session Heatmap showing who controlled play minute by minute. Returning players even see how this session compares to their own previous performance. Pick exactly who it goes to, or send it to the whole group in one tap. It's the easiest way to keep a Live Ball group engaged week after week — and a standout reason to go Pro.

Live Ball
Rally-based scoring for practice sessions. Count shots round by round, track aces, winners, unforced errors, and double faults. See detailed stats when the session ends — then share the full report by email with every player.

Match Scoring
Full match scoring for singles and doubles. Tracks sets, games, tiebreaks, serving rotation, and deciding points. Record shot types for every point and review opponent history in Analytics.

Tug-of-War
A back-and-forth scoring game where teams push a score toward their goal. Includes standard and advanced modes with shot-type tracking, momentum charts, and per-game breakdowns.

Dingles
A team-based points game with round scoring. Track who's contributing and review diverging bar charts at the end.

Personal Scoring
Solo shot tally for tracking your own performance during play. Count aces, winners, errors, and more game by game.

Apple Watch
Score every game mode from your wrist. Buttons are designed for quick courtside taps with haptic feedback.

Health & Workouts
Each session logs as a tennis workout to Apple Health, tracking active calories and duration automatically.

Analytics
View shot breakdowns across all your matches. See your stats grouped by opponent to track improvement over time.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-06-30

Live Ball: Set the winning side with a clearer one-tap flow, and choose whether taking the court awards a point. Pause, Next Round, and End Session now live in a tidy Controls menu, with Undo always at hand.
Coach Mode — new Quick style: Record a whole point on a single screen — serve, rally length, and outcome — for faster courtside tracking. The classic step-by-step style is still there.
Coach Mode for more game types: Track Live Ball, Dingles, Tug-of-War, and Practice sessions with simple point scoring and manual game control — no serves required.
Cleaner Coach scoreboard with the server shown on its own line so longer names always fit.

### 1.5 — 2026-06-07

Exporting of session data fully implemented across all play types and improved for sharing between devices via the app. Players can immediately get a live ball session when it is over and have all stats for themselves. Personal Scoring now has "Coach/Parent" mode for tracking all shot types in a match.

### 1.4 — 2026-05-29

Version 1.4. Personal Scoring now has coaching/parents tab for more elaborate point type scoring and saving. Some live ball statistics fixed and clear descriptions in Analytics.

### 1.3 — 2026-05-23

What's new in 1.3:

• Session report emails: recipient list now prefilled correctly, brand logo loads in every email client, and Gmail no longer clips the message body.
• Dark mode fixes — Pause, Resume, and Next Round buttons plus player name labels are now readable.
• Undo Last Point is a proper centered button instead of a tiny link — much easier to spot mid-rally.
• Team Statistics: "Times Formed" now updates correctly across the whole session. New: Pts / Formation and Avg Time Between Formations.
• Win and UE columns in the email report only appear for Advanced Mode sessions — no more confusing zeroes.
• New: in-app notification when a TennisLedger update is available, with one-tap access to the App Store.

### 1.2 — 2026-05-20

Version 1.2 — Live Ball just got social

After every Live Ball session, you can now email a beautiful report to every player on the court: a points leaderboard, winners and unforced errors, a Session Heatmap showing who controlled play minute by minute, and how each player compared to their previous sessions. Pick exactly who it goes to, or send to the whole group in one tap. (Pro feature.)

Also in this update:

• Sessions screen reorganized — each game type is now a collapsible group, so a long history stays tidy.
• Refreshed visual style across the app with the new TennisLedger cyan look.
• Apple Watch app now installs automatically alongside the iPhone app.
• Polish in the session details view and the report layout.

Thanks for playing with TennisLedger.
