My account can register and log in successfully on Android, but the same account fails to log in on iOS. The iOS app shows: “resp verify error, missing header field”. I have tried reinstalling the app, changing email, restarting the phone, resetting network settings, and using mobile data, but the issue still exists.

Completely useless when I returned to China. The app claims to support QR code payments, but in actual use, the QR code is not accepted by merchants. I tried to use it for everyday payments and simply could not pay. If the main purpose is to use this service for payments in China, it failed completely for me. Very disappointing.

Making purchases in China is such a hassle. They’ve made things like credit cards and Apple Pay—which should be simple—so complicated. It honestly makes me afraid to go spend money in China. Charging customers a 3% transaction fee for WeChat Pay transactions over 200 is ridiculous!

Nowhere on the store listing, description, or screenshots does it say this is invite-only — I only found out after going through the whole login/registration process and hitting a wall.

If this is a closed test, please say so upfront. A simple line like “Invite-only beta — request access here” would save people the wasted download and signup attempt. As it stands, it feels like false advertising, even if unintentional.

I went to China a few days ago. My WeChat accounts are registered with a VISA card and Apple Pay, respectively. However, the VISA card did not work properly, and an error occurred. So I searched the internet and found the Tenpay Go app. It is much more convenient and works better than a regular VISA card. However, a couple of times—2 or 3 times—I had an embarrassing experience for no apparent reason: money was paid from my Apple Pay-linked account, but the store’s system didn’t show the payment, so I had to pay in cash. However, fortunately, it was refunded later. I definitely want to use Tenpay Go on my next trip to China, and I hope this app works without any errors. It seems like a really good app. Thank you for making it.

WeChatのアカウントを作らなくても、現地の人と同じようにWeChat Payが使えるのは本当に便利です。アプリ自体も中国系アプリとは思えないほどシンプルで、メールアドレスだけでApple Payに登録したクレジットカードから支払いができます。この仕様をぜひ維持してほしいです！

Registration:
Hassle-free—only requires an email address and a PIN setup. No KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is required, which is extremely convenient.
Usage Scope:
Restricted to merchants in mainland China; peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers to personal QR codes are not supported. However, since almost all QR codes encountered for daily spending are merchant codes, it functions smoothly for everyday use.
Fees:
International card transaction fees are waived for amounts under 200 RMB. A 3% fee applies to transactions of 200 RMB and above.
