### 5/5 — Bowling

*2025-05-14, version 2.6.9*

Overall this app is great, helped me a lot in getting a idea where to have my targets. One thing about the patterns, I noticed some may be in accurate for example like the US Open pattern #4 2025. I thought it was a 38’, but it turned out it’s 41’. If you are able to double check all patterns again we would really appreciate it. Thank you

### 5/5 — Best Bowling App, EVER!

Great tool for any bowler at any skill level from beginner to pro. I’ve been bowling for 17 years and since I’ve discovered this app I use it constantly to improve my game. For a premium subscription to be as low priced as this, it makes so much sense to upgrade. Super impressed with every feature. I have recommended this app to lots of people and I will continue to do so 😁

### 5/5 — idea

*2025-02-12, version 2.6.6*

this is the best app i've used ever for bowling, i love it so much. right to the point, what if there was a way to compare 2 bowling balls, core/cover/rg/diff, etc. i'd love that, i often have to bounce between screens but that would be sick. big thanks!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I would like either a bug fix or a refund.

*2025-12-25*

I can’t use Observation Trainer on iOS 26.3. I want my money back.

### 1/5 — limited uses

*2024-01-19, version 2.4.7*

you have to pay to get most of the uses on this app.

### 1/5 — Limited use

*2019-03-01, version 1.2.8*

Great idea but limited in uses. Wasn’t what i expected.

### 2/5 — Unstable

*2026-02-14, version 2.7.3*

App is not stable enough to even begin to use. While it doesn't crash outright, any screen used reloads constantly.

### 2/5 — Great app but…

*2025-04-24*

The only problem and reason this isn’t a 5-star review is simply because of the fact that I have to pay twice to move my data from the iPhone I was using to the Galaxy A35 since the store purchases are not connected through the app, if fixed will be perfect as it has helped me learn oil patterns.

### 2/5 — Features need work

*2025-03-23*

Cool idea, but I paid $10 just to find out that you cant even make the PAP have a “down” measurement, and its only in increments of 1”. For example I cannot enter my PAP which is 6” right and 7/8” down. But at least fix the fact that it only offers PAP’s up. If they do fix this, I would also like to see a PAP entry under “personal settings”.

**Developer response:** You absolutely can have both up and down PAP and it can be in 1/16th increments. Please contact me directly via support@tenpintoolkit.com and I will do my best to help you sort out why this isn’t working correctly for you.

### 2/5 — App is great but you can’t do anything without the membership

*2024-04-01, version 2.5.3*

This app could be great if you’d like to spend money. You pretty much can do 20% of the app without the membership. Could be a great app to use and to recommend to friends and family

### 3/5 — Score database ?

*2025-02-24, version 2.6.7*

I think this app is cool but I was upset that I’m paying 10$ and I cant even keep a database of my scores please add this feature

### 3/5 — Major Battery Drain

*2024-12-16*

My son installed this on my iphone immediately noticed my battery draining faster. I checked my battery usage and it by far was using more battery than all my other apps. The app itself is awesome outside of that.

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear that! Could you get in touch with me via support@tenpintoolkit.com so I can investigate this further, as it’s not something that has ever come up before. Like any app, some features can use more power depending on how you use them.

In particular anything that processes video, like the video delay feature in the Angles & Targeting tool, will be likely to use more power than doing something like browsing bowling balls in the Arsenal Tool.

Please do get in touch though as low ratings like this can hurt the app and I will always try to solve problems when users contact me so please don’t feel you need to resort to low app ratings to get my attention! 🙂

### 3/5 — Decent App! Maybe add a few items…..

*2022-12-12*

This is a decent app which great potential! App can provide a very “basic” idea of how to initially line up and play a pattern Good settings options to be able to input some specifics such as drift, ankle to ball distance, arrow to pin targeting line, etc.
I would like to suggest the ability to add more info into Angles and Targeting. Since we can add things like Bowling Ball Arsenal, find our Axis and Tilt, Rev Rate and Speed…. It would be GREAT if we can implement those numbers into Angles and Targeting!
Example… choose Kegal Stonehenge pattern. Be able to input the Ball, Rev Rate, Speed, Axis and Tilt along with the other setting already being applied… then see how we can line up on this pattern with all the in. This would be HUGE! It would still just a starting point BUT would give a better suggestion than what it currently does now.
Again.. decent app which I use from time to time… BUT would use more often I could use the additional stuff I suggested.

**Developer response:** I get asked that a lot. As much as I'd love to be able to make it do that, the Angles & Targeting tool is mainly for helping you plan how you want to play the lane and visualize a shot.

It can't predict what a shot is going to do because there are just too many factors. Aside from the ball and the oil pattern, there's also how that ball is drilled, it's surface, ball speed, rev rate, axis tilt, axis rotation, lane surface, lane topography, and other factors that affect the shot.

I could possibly make it increase or decrease hook if you were changing from one ball to another, but again I'd have no way of knowing how much to do that by because it would be specific to all those other factors.

Again, I'd definitely love to be able to do something along these lines, and maybe if I do some serious physics homework I might be able to do something, but I'm just not sure it would end up being particularly accurate or useful. :(

Feel free to get in touch via support@tenpintoolkit.com to discuss further! Given the low rating you’ve given I’d love the opportunity to talk to you about any other improvements that you feel would make the app worthy of a higher rating.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Super outil

*2026-06-26*

Très bon outil pour notre sport.

### 5/5 — Tenpin

*2026-03-31*

The app started to freeze after the last update. The video delay function stopped working.( Data transfer doesn't work, QR code doesn't appear. Please fix it.

### 5/5 — Mr 803

*2026-03-14, version 2.7.3*

I love the software the content and help when drilling a ball

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2026-02-28*

This app has definitely helped my bowing game since I started using it last month. There’s so much useful content, especially for bowlers like me who are only recently getting serious about their game. I especially like the section about bowling layouts, which will help me understand how I can change my arsenal.

The only feature I would like to see is some sort of cloud storage so I can view my information on multiple devices. There is a data transfer utility with the app but I think cloud storage would be simpler.

Thank you for making an excellent bowling app!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-02-21*

I have had the premium version for about 3 years now, mainly use it to compare my different balls Diff and RG, very nice app, I wish it had some sort of addition in the app where I could input my scores and it would keep track of my averages, my misses, and my spare percentage. Other than that it is a very good app for someone who wants to take their bowing to the next level.

### 5/5 — Great toolkit for bowlers

*2025-12-21*

I was looking at bowling apps and this one came up. The subscription is worth the cost of the detail you can get out of this app. In one day I have learnt more about my balls and determining if I have made good selections. The aiming module is awesome and cannot wait to test it out in the lanes to help improve my shot making. This app is great for all amateur bowlers wanting to learn about their kit, layouts and more. It’s got me hooked.

### 5/5 — Worth The money

*2025-11-19, version 2.7.2*

Great for seeing different layouts on bowling balls with your pap

### 5/5 — Right Info

*2025-11-15*

I am able to walk into the Pro Shop and with my Tenpin Toolkit tell them what I want and the drill from the setup matches to the tee. Going over existing layouts and really knowing what was drilled is a great thing.

There is a lot to learn from the tool and now the conversation with the Pro Shop is going smoother. I would say it would have been nice to have this tool kit when I returned to bowling, but I have it now.

### 5/5 — Actaulizqcio ios26

*2025-10-02, version 2.7.2*

Se presenta error cuando actualizo porque no muestra los patrones de aceitado

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-08-03, version 2.7.1*

Super convenient and easy to use
