It feels very clunky and not intuitive at all. ### 3/5 — Good app but very flawed rating & grading system *2025-12-20, version 5.0.5* Sending forces you to grade and rate the route immediately. Because you can’t take your time to consider it, and you have to give an opinion, people just pick whatever it currently is listed as. This makes the crowd sourced grade and rating pretty much useless. If they solve this problem and make this information reliable it would be a fantastic app. Introducing some routes that are graded by experts rather than the voting system would be very helpful to show people what the grade expectations are too. The video instructions are nice, but they’re very inconvenient for quick referencing, so searching online for text instructions was more convenient at the gym. ### 4/5 — Great app but needs features *2025-04-23, version 4.2.3* I love the TB2 (I own one!) and I love this app for the most part. It’s stable and just works unlike some other board apps 😬. But it lacks some features that would be suuuper nice to have. For instance why can’t I search/filter for climbs I have done if I haven’t done them on both sides (mirror)? Same with this search for other users. Why can’t you filter in the logbook at all? By date or grade… These features would make it 5 ⭐️ IMO ### 4/5 — How come I can’t see the problems?? *2024-07-16* I have played a lot with the search engine on this app, and my friends are able to pull up a large list of climbs that I cannot. Has anyone else had this experience? This is a massive selling point but also require data storage issue 2) there is a switch for “tall climb only” , not sure if that’s a troll move, but people typically complain they rather see a section for “short climber” 3) I set a couple problems but there is not a tab for me to see my own created problems. I can’t dig through all the ones I did and see if there were mine. 4) setting for the tension board 2 is not a great experience because you need to have the board in front of you , you have connect to it, then you can work on the setting. There is no way to pull up the board diagram like the One when you want to create something without connecting to a board ### 2/5 — Works fine… *2023-05-25, version 3.3.25* No apparent way to change your user name after creating an account. When I delete a board, it's still in my circuit? There's no way to copy or duplicate to change an existing climb (variations). It's impossible to sort my creations as a separate category or tab. Certain characters can't be put in the name (+). Just use anything else, its all better than this. ### 2/5 — App is buggy *2024-10-20* The actual tension board is great. However app is buggy when tapping “check mark” in the UINavigationBar. Error message is “could not save ascent” in a UIAlertView. This works 50% of the time. Probably some 400. This never happened with kilterboard app, did you change the backend or client networkManager? Where are your unit tests? Also “log quick ascent” button is missing. Why? It should be shown 24/7. Idk why I need to rate and log number of ascents on every single V0. C’mon devs. I could fix this in 30 seconds. Nope. I got an email from a real person just hours later letting me know the fixed app was submitted for App Store review and sure enough the issue was fixed for me the next day! Thanks for making the app installable on mac; I keep it open when watching Board Lords videos to help see the route. Unfortunately I just updated to the latest app version (5.0.5) and was seeing “x did not load” type popups for every interaction on macOS Tahoe 26.2. I have reverted back to my previous app version (4.3.3) and it works again. Not deducting any stars since this app probably isn’t really intended to be ran on mac anyways. Connects easily to beta vids if available, and much less glitchy than other board apps I’ve used. This is my easily my favorite board for training, and it’s really easy to create your own lists and circuits. I love being able to create different circuits at different angles depending on what style or goal I have in mind for training. Love the new leaderboard feature.
