## What is TensionMeter?

Σχεδιασμένο και υλοποιημένο από αθλητές για αθλητές, το TensionMeter αποτελεί μία ολοκληρωμένη λύση IoT για την υποστήριξη των αθλητών της αγωνιστικής ιστιοπλοΐας.

Το TensionMeter συνδυάζει hardware και το smartphone software για να υποστηρίξει πλήρως τους αθλητές στην καταγραφή και ρύθμιση των χαρακτηριστικών του σκάφους κατά τη φάση της προετοιμασίας και του αγώνα, και απλοποιεί και αυτοματοποιεί τη διαδικασία αυτή. Αντικαθιστά το αναλογικό εντασιόμετρο, με ένα IoT enabled, ψηφιακό εργαλείο, χωρίς κινούμενα μέρη, το οποίο προσαρμόζεται στα σκοινιά του σκάφους και λαμβάνει τη μέτρηση. Η εφαρμογή του smartphone συνδέεται απευθείας και σε πραγματικό χρόνο με τη συσκευή, λαμβάνει και καταγράφει την τιμή της μέτρησης. 

Ο αθλητής αποθηκεύει την πληροφορία αυτή στο context του σκάφους το οποίο χρησιμοποιεί. Κάθε μέτρηση δηλαδή συνδέεται με συγκεκριμένο σκοινί του σκάφους που έχει δηλωθεί από το χρήστη, και παρουσιάζεται με γραφικό τρόπο σε σχηματικό διάγραμμα το οποίο αντιστοιχεί στον τύπο του σκάφους. Η πληροφορία αυτή είναι διαθέσιμη και κατά την φάση της ρύθμισης του σκάφους, όπου ο αθλητής ρυθμίζει κατάλληλα τα σκοινιά, και λαμβάνει σε πραγματικό χρόνο το feedback από τις μετρήσεις, με στόχο να επιτύχει τάσεις αντίστοιχες με αυτές που είναι αποθηκευμένες.
