### 2/5 — Searching is painful

*2023-08-30*

If you type in a location and switch to map view then click on a campsite and want to go back to the map view it didn’t save the search location which is infuriating.

### 2/5 — Glitchy

*2023-08-09*

It would be great if I could save a search or view the sites I favorited, but none of that works. Are you guys problem solving anything on the app anymore? Sometimes the feed gets stuck in a loop showing me the same 10 sites over and over again. It’s a shame.

### 2/5 — Good Service, Horrible App

*2022-06-23, version 1.5.1*

I love going to Tentrrs for the weekend but the app is a nightmare.

You can’t even login to book one most of the time and then when you finally do get in the app is buggy.

I wish it just worked.

### 2/5 — Meh

*2021-07-21, version 1.5.1*

They really need an option to contact property owners prior to booking. Just like AirBnb, VRBO, etc. Seems shady to not give you that option. They charge your card before you are allowed to ask questions. Also, when booking we did not receive any kind of confirmation email. As of right now I still have no idea if my stay is confirmed, or what the address is. They simply charged the card. This company needs serious work to be competitive. Very sketchy!!

### 2/5 — App needs serious improvement

*2020-09-22, version 1.5.1*

I signed up for an account with Tentrr, filled in all my information. Name, payment info in my profile, downloaded the app and proceeded to search for sites. Found a site, tried to book it. The app can't seem to remember how many people I put as campers. Also it doesn't remember my name or my prefilled payment information. What was the whole point of me filling all that stuff out in my account if I had to manually do it again each time? Also, there are display issues. The menus don't format properly on my phone and would cut out. Its pretty much just showing the website itself within the app. You're better off just going to the actual website as this app at the moment is useless.

### 1/5 — False credit card charges by Tentrr

*2020-07-03, version 1.5.1*

Site owner cancelled on us the day before our camping trip, which was bad enough (users have to cancel 3 days before). Since then Tentrr has twice tried to make false charges to our credit card even though we haven’t ever used the service and never will again.

### 2/5 — App needs complete rebuild

*2020-06-25, version 1.5.1*

This app really is bad. It looks nice, but it just doesn’t work right. I’m going back to the mobile site (which needs its own fixes but is at least a bit better). If you’re going to compete with Airbnb and Vrbo, you need to do much better.

### 1/5 — Locations missing

*2020-06-17, version 1.5.1*

After making payment to reserve, received an email thanking me for Netflix premium

### 1/5 — There’s a bug in Trips

*2019-10-12, version 1.3.2*

Hi, every time I click on my upcoming trip in the app, it shuts the whole thing down.
I have to use the desktop to access my trip details.

### 1/5 — Great service, Bad App

*2019-09-28, version 1.3.2*

The Tentrr idea is great, but just go to the website, don’t bother dL-ing the app. Basically it isn’t an app, just a link to open the website but with unwanted bugs and glitches that error and cause it to close constantly. Tentrr please PLEASE develop an app that works! Don’t waste your time, go to Tentrr.com.

### 3/5 — I rented a site for 4 nights

*2019-09-06, version 1.3.2*

As for the camping experience, we’re going to camp in a campground next time. The solar shower was just too cold and difficult to use as there was no place to hang it for the sun. A shower is worth ALOT to us. The other issue is the air bed mattress is VERY noisy due to it being on a wooden platform that it wasn’t designed well for. Every little move and it was like rubbing balloons, plus it kept losing air every other day. I’d prefer it to be on the ground over this mattress frame tentrr concocted.

### 1/5 — Force closes

*2019-07-31, version 1.3.2*

Your app force closes when I try to access my trips. There’s no ability to contact landowners prior to booking about conflicting information and/or additional information on the site.

### 2/5 — What a cool concept, but why doesn’t it work?

*2019-07-19, version 1.3.2*

Every time I try to go to ‘my trips’ it shows my trip but when I click for details the app closes.
I’ve tried this on multiple phones as well. What a shame, everything else was great until this.

### 2/5 — Maybe a cool service but this app is so buggy

*2019-07-18, version 1.3.2*

Booking a res in Northern California right now is nearly impossible. Barely any availability. We were lucky to snag one next weekend and regardless of how lovely that might be, distributing a mobile app with this many bugs is absolutely bizarre. Customers cannot even open their reservations because the app will crash. I actually reached out to the developer several weeks ago to show them this bug and it has yet to be fixed. Really cool idea but this execution is absolute garbage.

### 2/5 — Not market ready

*2019-05-30, version 1.3.2*

I have been dying to use this app and go glamping. But this app does not allow to ask any questions about sites or contact landowners before booking. I cannot find any info if dogs are allowed, and I can’t take chances without that info
Also some sites list a glam tent as provided but in the description talk about setting up your own. Confusing contradictory info impossible to clarify without contact

### 2/5 — Good concept but...

*2019-05-28, version 1.3.2*

We came across tentrr and thought it looked amazing. Our first issue is , you can not contact campkeepers before booking to find out more info about the site. We booked a site for $120 a night and it was no where near worth that amount. It’s not as advertised , our tent was mildew and mold ridden , the floor was filthy , our belongings got wet when it rained. Our first night , it was very cold ... we went to put on our wood stove and it was full of water and moldy wood so we couldn’t use it. We ended up cleaning it out the next day to avoid freezing that night but despite cleaning it , it would not stay lit for anything. Our site was way smaller than the pictured seemed, we were off a noisy road , the neighbors where visible from
Our site, the other side of us , about 500 ft away was another tent that we had no idea who was in. There was constant noise from trucks , atv and planes , gun shots and yelling. I would not recommend until they make their prices reasonable and actually give u what they advertise.

### 1/5 — Soulless camping experience

*2018-11-02, version 1.3.1*

If you’re wondering what the McDonalds of camping feels like, now you know.

Yuck

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Tentrr is done

*2024-03-12*

Why is this app still available if the company has folded?!?

### 1/5 — Bankrupt

*2024-02-16*

Company went bankrupt. Those with annual pass are apparently out of luck (and lost money). Avoid

### 1/5 — Error 404

*2024-02-01*

Receiving error 404 page not found.

### 1/5 — Stole money from me

*2023-10-03*

Charged me an extra $60 when they said it was in the “fine print” even though it wasn’t.

### 1/5 — horrible concept

*2023-04-06*

no

### 1/5 — Completely unusable

*2021-05-27, version 1.5.1*

Really poor app.

### 1/5 — Possibly the worst app I’ve ever used

*2020-10-23, version 1.5.1*

It’s surprising to see an app this bad in 2020.

### 1/5 — GPS is Wrong

*2020-08-28, version 1.5.1*

The camp ground location shown on the GPS was actually across the state. Talking with friends this sounds really common. Tentrr hasn’t responded when we emailed them.

### 1/5 — Faulty App and Poor Service

*2020-08-28, version 1.5.1*

We never got to go on our Tentrr experience because it’s turns out the location listed on the listing map was 5 hours away from the real location! We reached out to Tentrr to get a refund and never heard from them.

### 1/5 — Horrible experience with incorrect locations

*2020-08-26, version 1.5.1*

Had a very bad experience with this platform.
1) the camp site showed up at the wrong location during search. The actual address is 5 hours away from the location marked on map.

2) the customer service refused to refund and called that a responsibility on the user.

I don’t recommend this platform. Airbnb has a way better experience.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing Experience

*2019-09-02, version 1.3.2*

I booked a site in Vermont and it was gorgeous. The site was well maintained and our hosts prepared us for what we needed/what was provided. It poured one night but we stayed completely dry in our tent. Great for people looking for an easy get away and great for people with dogs. Can’t wait to book my next experience!

### 5/5 — Bright Future for this Company!

*2018-05-31, version 1.2.5*

Tentrr is an incredible company. I didn’t even like camping until I used Tentrr. It allows for attainable luxury for city people like me, and the app works beautifully. Can’t wait to see it grow globally!!

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2018-05-29, version 1.2.5*

I haven't done much camping since college as I live in NYC and don't have space to store tents, sleeping pads etc. With Tentrr I can go camping better than ever before i.e much nicer equipment and way nicer sites than the standard campgrounds.

App has great photos of all the sites and I can message the host super easily. I've done it a few times and it's awesome.

### 5/5 — Great Service - Camping Made Easy

*2017-11-10, version 1.2.4*

I'm not a very outdoorsy person, but my wife and I wanted to have a relaxing weekend in nature. Without any camping equipment of our own, it would have been very costly and burdensome. Thanks to Tentrr, we were able to "just show up" with some food and enjoy a great camping weekend.

The Tentrr app made it easy to book the perfect campsite for us. We are looking forward to another Tentrr camping trip soon!

### 5/5 — Tentrr is Awesome!

*2017-11-03, version 1.2.4*

Tentrr is the perfect solution for people used to booking cabs through Uber and vacation spots through AirBnB. Booking a totally private and beautiful campsite right from your phone in easy and fun. I’ve stayed at one Tentrr campsite so far (Pond View) and had a great time with friends. We went swimming in the private, pristine pond, stayed up late looking at stars, cooked breakfast over the open fire. I loved it and plan to book another site soon. Can’t wait until they expand to more locations!

### 5/5 — Yes... New York...So far.

*2017-10-13, version 1.2.4*

I guess I can understand why some reviewers gave this 1 star if they don’t live anywhere upstate New York and thought this was a nationwide outfit (I do believe that’s the plan eventually) but if you haven’t tried Tentrr you don’t know what your missing. I’ve camped everywhere from the remote highlands of Scotland to regular “campgrounds” here in the US but Tentrr is a very different experience. Yes, you are paying a small premium but you get what you pay for. These sites are absolutely spectacular and yours is the only tent on the site. Most of them sit on many, many acres of private land and feature truly extraordinary views and some even have water with kayaks or canoes. Many of the tents, which are well constructed and sit on solid wooden decks, are also now outfitted with a little wood-burning stove which keeps the tent toasty at night in months like April and October. The idea is not to “rough it” but to get closer to nature and not be thirty or 40 ft from other possibly loud or annoying campers. Also a great compromise if one of you likes camping and the other not so much (as can be the case with many couples) Many of these beautiful sites, run by locals with land, cost as little as $120 a night and allow 4 or even 6 people.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2017-07-11, version 1.2.3*

What an awesome app!! I went on 3 Tentrr camping trips last year and the app made it easy to book and stay in touch with my campkeepers! Can't wait to go again!!

### 5/5 — Brilliant idea. Looks good! The app works great.

*2017-06-13, version 1.2.2*

Exciting

### 5/5 — Best way to camp

*2017-03-22, version 1.2.1*

I did a tentrr last October for my friend's birthday party. Twelve of us on our own private meadow... We partied till 3 am, no rangers or other campers to disturb us. I'm definitely using this again this year

### 4/5 — Great service!

*2019-07-26, version 1.3.2*

Love this idea of glamping but please fix the bugs in the app! Shuts down every time I click on “my trips”
