Issues are connectivity is spotty.. it seems to connect only when connected to the same wifi, which is stupid - if I'm home why do I need to look around my home🤷‍♀️- oh well.. it's the camera I got.. 🥺😔 ### 2/5 — Never turned notifications off *2024-12-26, version 1.1.5* Why did the notifications suddenly stop working? I never turned them off, and when I go to the settings it says loading, but it always fail to load. Since then, it’s almost impossible to get access to your camera through the app. It’s occasional but not consistent. However, here we are, 5 hours away from home, and today both cameras are showing disconnected so now we can’t monitor our dogs. The other camera out back from the brand that rhymes with Ping is still working, so it’s not an issue with my network. Really enjoyed the operation for the first 2 days, but now feel they’re not reliable enough and I would recommend other options. ### 1/5 — Everything about these cameras and app are Garbage *2022-01-09, version 1.1.5* It’s all garbage. The cameras that crash constantly, the app that is laggy, the cameras that don’t send feed and say disconnected even when they are not. We have gone through 6 cameras in a year and a half. At peak performance, the app is unreliable. I have to close and reload the app upwards of 10 times just to get it to load my cameras and get off the spinning wheel. And that’s while I’m on the same network as my cameras. I’ve needed to check in on my sick dogs before and I had to just get in to the camera and then keep it open all day on my phone because I couldn’t be sure it would open later. When you can actually view the camera, it is nice to be able to move it around. The sound is clear, too. I used a memory card once and it did record for a bit, but then it stopped and hasn’t recorded since. And notifications were either constant or sporadic, no matter the settings, no in between. The app is fine if you have no other choice. ### 1/5 — App Is Horrible, Never Know When It’s Working *2021-10-10, version 1.1.5* Many times I wanted to check on my home while away and couldn’t because the app wouldn’t load. Many times I hear a notice from a part of my house and I can’t view it because the app isn’t working. Takes entirely too much to pair the device when the scan code is suppose to make things easier. When it actually works……. Night mode was clear when the lights were off. You can talk to ppl on the other side. A tad delayed with relaying messages . Records video when you choose. If you’re not watching, it’s not recording. However if you enable cloud storage and then go to look for your video it always generates a network error. My connection is fine. There isn’t even an option to sign up for paid storage. I bought the camera 4 years ago and haven’t used it for nearly that long. I wonder if this company is even still in business. I’m unable to contact anyone bc the entire website and app is down. It’s making me nervous the company got hacked or something. My camera seems to be connected and the light is on but I noticed 3 days ago, a notification popped up on the Tenvisty App saying, “System unavailable. Contact customer support.” Even after multiple resets, the app no longer works. I had family members check their TENVIS cameras just to make sure it wasn’t something on my end. They’re having the same problem!! None of the buttons on the app are working so it’s impossible to contact customer service through the app. So I googled the website and every single TENVIS webpage is down. Every link you click pops up a “System unavailable “ on the top left screen . I’m nervous that something big happened, like security breach or the company went bankrupt overnight because for the entire website and app to go down for DAYS now, with zero communication from the company is causing alarm, and there’s absolutely no one to contact about this concern because they only offer online chat customer service which is “unavailable.” Even the reset password setting isn’t working which is another concern. I tried reaching out to two twitter accounts I found but both profiles don’t seem like they’ve been active since late 2021. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Used as baby room camera *2020-02-07, version 1.0.21* Pretty straightforward and simple app. For a $20 camera the app added it in less than 30 seconds and works great. I recently purchased the camera on a whim because I was going to be out of town for a few weeks, and there’s a lot of turnover at my complex So just needed assurance and peace of mind that my place would be safe and free of intrusion. I had no idea remote surveillance could be this easy and sooo affordable! This gem was perfectly easy for this tech dunce to set up despite all the other complaints, and the app never failed to connect to the camera while I was away. My only quibble is that the alerts are too darned sensitive, and go off constantly, particularly when there’s no apparent movement. There are 4 settings, and even when I notched it down one it was still hyper-sensitive. Now back at home I’m hoping I can simply turn off notifications completely, or unplug the camera until I’m away again. Wish there was simply an on/off button on the camera, that would be perfection. So happy with it I may just order a few more to have on hand just because they’re an absolute steal...thanks TENVISTY.👏🏽 ### 5/5 — Super easy to set up and works perfectly *2019-01-14* Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Within minutes I had my camera connected to this app and now I can control the camera and view it on my iPhone. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I have not lost connection with the camera yet. The picture is either all white or all black or some kind of fuschia night vision thing going on like a Predator View. Could use other settings though, like preset camera angles that you could just select when you want.
