Great device, okay app
I helped fund the Teplo on Kickstarter, waited almost two years (Covid in the middle), and finally received my device around Christmas 2020. And I love it!
The Teplo helps me brew tea at my desk, and is super easy to clean. I don’t have to excuse myself from meetings when I need a cuppa. Six months in and I still love my Teplo.
The app is just okay though. It works well for the most part. Occasionally loses connection to the device. There are a few rough edges. The Teplo team has done well with enhancing the app over time. It is stable though and does the job expected of it.
I almost never use the biometrics, although it would be a useful excuse to use the breathe app on my Apple Watch.

Why does a tea brewing app require location services and refuse to work without it on?
