## What is Tepovka?

Tepovka measures your heart rate with nothing but your phone. Cover the rear camera and flash with your fingertip, and the app reads your pulse from the tiny colour changes each heartbeat makes. No watch, no chest strap.

MEASURING
• Heart rate in 20–120 seconds; 30 is usually enough
• The pulse wave with every beat marked, live while you measure
• Signal quality for every reading, and a clear message when one fails
• Motion watch: if the phone moves, the app asks you to keep still and measures a little longer when the signal is unsettled
• A short guide to placing your finger right

HEART RATE VARIABILITY (HRV)
• SDNN, RMSSD, pNN50 and more from readings of a minute or longer
• Stress index, and spectral analysis for two-minute readings

YOUR HEART RATE OVER TIME
• Full history with search and filters
• Weekly trend of your resting heart rate
• A whole year of readings in one calendar
• Tags (morning, at rest, after exercise, after coffee, stressed) and your own notes

RECOVERY TEST
• A guided test: a short bout of exercise, then two minutes of measuring
• How far your heart rate fell after 1 and 2 minutes, and how it changes as you get fitter

MOTIVATION
• Day streaks and badges for measuring regularly
• A reminder at the time you choose
• A home screen widget with your latest reading

FOR YOUR DOCTOR AND FOR YOU
• PDF report of selected readings
• Export to CSV, JSON and TXT
• Heart rate and HRV saved to the Health app
• Senior mode with larger text and voice guidance

PRIVACY
Your readings stay on your phone. Nothing is sent to a server and no account is needed.

Tepovka is developed by a team from Brno University of Technology. We have checked its heart rate against ECG.

Tepovka is not a medical device. It is meant for general wellness tracking and does not replace a medical examination. If you have health concerns, see a doctor.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 5.0.0 — 2026-10-19

• More accurate heart rate, timed by the feet of the pulse wave, the same on the result, in the history and while measuring
• When no heart rate can be found, the app says so and offers to measure again
• A keep-still alert, and longer measuring when the signal is unsettled
• Recovery test after exercise
• Home screen widget
• Fixes and improvements

### 4.2.0 — 2026-10-13

• Drobné opravy a vylepšení.
