But this changes. Last month it was randomly opening at 3am. I have no clue as to why. But I’ve had to disconnect my blinds from it. ### 1/5 — Worst software ever *2019-06-24, version 3.0.4* I was an early backer buying ten units and in feb 2016 upgraded to the z wave. Obviously more than 3 years later z wave still not out. Had two units installed and the software was atrociously bad. It regularly failed to work. Would run at random tones. The open position would change on its own. It would freeze. Horrible and never any support. Just switched to Axis. Worked flawlessly. Don’t waste any more time with Teptron. ### 1/5 — DOES NOT WORK *2019-05-06, version 3.0.4* Avoid this company and this motor. Complete garbage. Doesn’t do automations at all. No updates and obvious bugs. You guys are scam artists! ### 2/5 — Slow and not all automations work *2019-04-11, version 3.0.4* The app is pretty bad. I set two automations—one to close and one to open. The close works but the open doesn’t so I have to hit the button on the device to reopen because my app has it registered as open. Also, there’s no way to stop the device once you’ve started it to open/close from the app even though there’s a stop button in the device itself. So-ooooo close. For those interested in the device itself: The device works but is slow and very cheaply made for the price. I thought it was because my shade are so large and heavy but the reviews seem pretty consistent. I also wish the device had the ability to do “free spin” so I could manually manage the shades myself sometimes. The beaded cord gets somewhat stuck in the wheel on open and makes a “clicking” sound as it tries to free from the teeth. The “customizable” tabs are cheap and flimsy (so you can cut them) but they end is getting caught up in the beaded cord. The cover also doesn’t stay on well because the top side of it isn’t screwed in—it has a flap that often pops out because the beaded cord rubs against it and ends up pulling it out. ### 4/5 — Works ok, you just have to fiddle a little bit *2019-02-08, version 3.0.4* Of you make changes to the automation, I find it better do re sync the device and start over. It does not take very long. After it is set, it works fine. The motor is not quiet but it does the job. ### 1/5 — Do not purchase *2019-01-30, version 3.0.4* Much like the other reviews this product does not work.
