### 4/5 — Piano keyboard not showing

*2026-02-12*

I’ve tried restarting and deleting app and restarting but piano keyboard won’t appear please help because this is a great synthesizer!!

### 5/5 — Des sons incroyables

*2024-04-29*

Mais un synthétiseur modulaire très complexe auquel je ne comprends pas grand chose

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2024-03-27*

I’ve had a little bit of a play with this, I need to deep dive into it later, but wow.. sounds absolutely incredible. Will be using this in productions a lot. I especially like the custom colour option.

### 5/5 — UNDO button PLEASE

*2024-02-22*

The amount of time I have spent time crafting a unique sound only to accidentally hit one of the many random buttons and lose everything happens at least once per session. Outside of that I feel the simplicity of working in a semi-modular fashion can lead to some very interesting sound designing but please add an undo button even if it’s just one step backwards. If the synth wasn’t so amazing I would have removed two stars for all the hours I have lost due to lack of the undo… haha…

### 5/5 — BrainZ, Waveshaper, FM7, now RingZ💥

*2024-02-18*

RingZ is so powerful, especially when used with BrainZ and FM7, you couldn’t even imagine the kind of sounds I’m now getting, Tera Pro has such a massive sound
6th Aug. 24
Wow, just purchased the FM7 module, this is now a “got everything synth”, the only item missing is a Sampler, but who knows what the future holds. I thought it would be just another FM synth, but it’s more powerful than that especially when mixing it with the Waveshaper/BrainZ, just WOW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 24 APRIL I immediately purchased the new Waveshaper as soon as I found out about it, the presets are stunning and just perfect for lead synth parts and what with being able to change presets whilst the last preset still sounds is amazing, I am now using Tera Pro more than ever, it is so powerful👌 2nd March The new BrainZ upgrade now takes Tera Pro to a stunningly higher level, just when I was getting familiar with Waves, this new add on comes along……I’m never going to get any chores done now! 😀 28th Oct. I have just purchased the WAVES module IAP and I am utterly blown away by the immensely powerful presets, I seriously urge anyone reading this to buy it too, skipping through the many (there are over 6000) different waves on any preset to create sounds that are absolutely unbelievable, but……be prepared to be completely lost in time immersed in beautiful futuristic sounds. Thanks again Doug (SoundTestRoom) for bringing this to my attention 👍 19th Aug. Thank you Harry, you are fast and true to your word 🏆 TUE 16th After contacting Harry about the lack of midi program change, he informed me that this feature is going to be added with the next update which is great news. Teraverse has just been updated with program change and it has made the app very versatile and programmable and a joy to use. I have now started adding Tera Pro to some of my previous Cubasis3 projects because the presets are awesome even without tweaking them. WED 10th Aug. Over the weekend I purchased Teraverse, I was so impressed with it I also purchased Tera Pro too. I am really impressed with the quality of the presets without having to tweak them, it’s weird because the particular type of sounds I want to use are here in Tera Pro. BUT, I can’t find anyway of using Midi Program Change. I have been right through the manual to no avail. Is this feature going to be added at some stage? I really hope so🤞

### 3/5 — Good! But...

*2024-02-04*

We still need a quick-access key-hold button. Burying it in a menu hidden in the Common module makes it pretty much non-existent in any active playing mode.
I am a big fan of the original Tera. Tera Pro is even better in many respects but it has additional versatility and functionality that make it a little more cumbersome to use. Sound quality is great and it is very flexible I have only one serious gripe. The "keyhold" feature (acts like a sustain pedal on a switch) is buried in a menu. This makes it almost useless. Look at ANY synthesizer -hardware or software- and you will find the "hold" button is immediately accessible. Please move the key hold feature to the main screen. It is an important live-performace feature. Why anyone would bury that in the settings menu remains a mystery. Very awkward. For my purposes (live performance) this reduces Tera Pro to only 3 stars, mostly becasue it is just such a dumb mistake and it really does make it harder to use what should be a mindlessly simple but important feature. Fortunately this SHOULD be a very easy fix for the developer.

### 5/5 — The best

*2023-12-16, version 2.0.2*

This right here is the deepest, most awesome sounding synth on IOS. It does take a wee bit of time to learn , but once you do you realize just how intuitive the control scheme is. I HIGHLY recommend the IAPs as well, especially Brainz.

I bought this on a recommendation from the YouTube tutorial genius Gavinski, and I’m glad I did. This is up there with BLEASS Omega and the Iceworks synths as far as the most fun to design sound in.

Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — My iOS GOAT

*2023-11-30, version 2.0.2*

The UI is a bit wonky, but the SOUND is fantastic. I just got the Brainz IAP and it’s so much fun.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2023-11-18*

I’ve been learning about synthesis a lot lately and I’ve been going over my apps I let collect dust and I came across Tera Pro. I’ve had this since it came out, it has tons of beautiful presets but I never realized the power it has until I started sound designing my own patches. MAN anything from basic synths to crazy far out spacey sound FX, this synth is a beast. I really like how you can see how the oscillators effect each other in the chain via the numerous oscilloscopes that are in this app.

If you’re just getting into making your own patches, I feel this is a great synth to start with because as you learn, u can make more complicated sounds with the same kind of building blocks. If you’re not into sound design, there are plenty of beautiful sounds included, not to mention the randomize button, which has produced me tons of playable patches that I liked or had to tweak just slightly for it to sound good.

Love this developer and coming from Drambo as my main DAW .. this work flow makes sense and goes hand and hand.

Thank you for this app. Much love!

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2023-11-16*

This is an early review, immediately Iva nose the power of this synth, and I’m sure with some tutorials Ill be off and running. It might be perfect if you made a normal keyboard also available.

### 5/5 — Whoa

*2023-09-08*

I’ve been playing with this app non stop for over 3 hours - this is such a good synth. Like the range of sounds you can create, it’s very much my new favorite. Haven’t yet wandered over to the Mac OS to see if it’s useable in logic but tbc! The ui is easy enough, and the preloaded factory presents give you loads to play around with. And the effects are stellar. Big fan. Well done!

### 3/5 — No Panic Button!

*2023-08-26*

Tera Pro appears to be a work in-progress, as a number of the presets jump/crash into a blast of noise which is hard to stop. It would be VERY NICE if a PANIC button of some sort could be placed PROMINENTLY to quickly get back to an init state and kill the runaway.… but alas, no such button is available anywhere.

The app is capable of some fairly amazing sounds, but still has a few kinks to work out. I would gladly trade the color background feature for a Panic button…😶

### 5/5 — tera pro

*2023-08-26*

my favourite synth on ios. massive

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Complicated

*2025-10-23*

Overly complex, modular workflow is not so user friendly.

### 1/5 — Still silly UI

*2025-01-22, version 2.2.0*

You open anything 1) you don’t indicate the current setting, 2) you HAVE to make a choice. 3) you can’t exit without being forced to make a choice. I mean, come on! Really irritating. A whole lot of ‘features’ doesn’t necessarily make a good app. Back to my book. Mmmzzz…

### 1/5 — RingZ Module out of tune

*2024-02-07, version 2.1.0*

I bought this synth purely for the RingZ module, and found that all of the patches in the module are out of tune. The sounds are great, but I can’t use them for anything without a huge amount of work.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2023-09-26*

Starts to become buggy on macos

### 1/5 — Still crashing!

*2023-03-02*

It still crashes! We are now on iOS 16 so fixing iOS 12 and 13 ain’t gonna fix it! Useless!!!

**Developer response:** Hi, I'm sorry to hear from your crashes. For most users it works pretty stable. To iron out your problem I need more info. Can you please contact me at support(at)virsyn.de ?

### 1/5 — Crashes running iOS 12.2 on iPad Pro

*2022-05-24*

Issues:
1. Was trying the raindropz patch.....opened LFO 1 panel..try to change a setting...crashes every time
2. Sometimes there is no sound until you toggle between patches, then you get proper sound
3. Love the sounds and possibilities, but these problems need to be fixed please.

### 2/5 — No way to reset MIDI Learn controls

*2024-06-06*

Tera Pro stores the MIDI Learn settings you make with your current MIDI controller and never gives you a way to clear them. Wherever they’re stored, you can’t find them on account that this app installs to a hidden file structure on your iPad.

Because of this, the app does not appear in the Apple Files app, nor does it appear in the iPad’s Settings where all your other apps are listed in alphabetical order. You can do a Search on Tera Pro in the Settings and it finds nothing. Why hide the app, guys?

To the guy with the Key Hold issue. Assign it to an on/off style button on your MIDI controller and set it with TP’s MIDI learn. You’ll always have it. If you ever switch to another MIDI controller, just uninstall TP to clear the old MIDI controller setting, re-install TP, and lastly, use MIDI Learn one time in TP to assign Key Hold to a button on your new MIDI controller. It’s a solution. A ridiculous one, at that, but it’s a solution.

I see a hardware synth in my future. I’m getting very tired of software synth glitches. TP is not the only one, for sure. Some are resource hogs, some have bugs, some have design flaws, etc. But all these software issues waste a lot of time. How much is your time worth? Time is all we have; you can’t get it back or buy more.

### 2/5 — In-App-Käufe verschwunden

*2024-03-14*

### 2/5 — Buyer’s remorse

*2023-02-21, version 1.6.0*

As many raving compliments as this synth app received in audiob.us, I was left very disappointed. First of all, though, I don’t deny that it sounds good (thought I have lots of synth apps that also sound as good). And the editing layout is interesting.
But some basic things willingly be sending this app to my “good but unused” folder. The most basic is the keyboard. I cannot play a keyboard where all the keys are black (in spite of the presence of the thing strip to distinguish those that are normally black on a piano keyboard). I could not find any way to choose a normal black and white keyboard.
I also found the amount of resources it used made it unusable in my live performance AUM environment. That’s a dealbreaker for me.
So while the price paid won’t impoverish me, it’s going to be just an app I regret buying.

### 3/5 — The best sounds but ouch!

*2024-09-13*

This is incredible.
All the IAPs are magnificent.
BUT it desperately needs and deserves a limiter! This is seriously hot!
Please Devs you know we all need this 🙏
Save our ears, headphones and speakers.
Reluctantly 3 stars until it updates. Then it is probably the best synth on IOS above all others.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — i love you

*2026-06-26, version 3.0.2*

omg yas

### 5/5 — Universal Apps für unter 10€

*2026-06-10*

bekommen grundsätzlich 5 Sterne, denn das ist lobenswert. Auf dem iPad habe ich es schon getestet. Macht einen guten Eindruck. Der Test am Mac steht noch bevor

### 5/5 — The best!

*2026-02-14*

This app has all of the synth techniques you could ask for! With all the synth module types and flexibility it is just genius what has been done. The UI takes some getting used to but put in the time and you will be rewarded! Definitely a BUY!

### 5/5 — The Everything Synth

*2025-06-23*

Brilliant Synth. Best on iOS. Incredibly versatile and sounds fantastic. Ignore reviews about it being difficult to use. It really isn't once you get familiar with it. It's well worth the effort!

### 5/5 — the best workhorse synth on ios

*2025-06-09*

the sound possibilities are immense. the mpe implementation is amongst the best. i still wish it had a many to many style mod matrix, obvious use case would be filter 1 cut off being varied by all 3 of an env, an lfo and mpe timbre. but even without such a matrix it keeps beating everything else. very grateful to virsyn for such a massive synth

### 5/5 — Very good synth

*2025-04-04*

Unique, deep and warm sound. Clean and intuitive UI.

### 5/5 — Unique sounds

*2025-01-27*

Using additive and spectral synthesis the almost endless possibilities also happen to be very musical. The interface may seem daunting at first but is actually very useful and smart.
The multi lane arppegiator is an extremely useful feature, with multiple lanes that are multi timbral and as such offer complex, but organic sounding results.
I’ve been using Tera Ion the desktop since it was released. And it only continues to get better. There are so many ways of manipulating sound, but it might seem daunting, it is something once you’re used to the graphical interface is obscenely capable.
There are literally almost every kind of timbre available by using its synthesis engine including a useful, musical randomizer.
But let’s be honest, it is a complex synth and there are a plethora of useful presets ready to be explored and tweaked. It’s an excellent way to learn how the synth works.
There are not many synthesizers that I wax poetic about. VerSyn makes several. If you’re positive you’re never going to want to program look at Teraverse, it’s a cut down version with all of the presets at a very reasonable price. I would encourage anyone thinking of Terraverse to think of Tera Pro, it’s so capable, and to me one of the most fun synthesizers to program.

### 5/5 — Excellent Synth

*2024-11-27*

I own a lot of iOS synths and this one is firmly in the top 5. The presets are a bit hit and miss - lovely patch followed by utter unlimited feedback that immediately needs a MIDI Panic press, but the IAP, especially the Rings one allow for some amazing sounds. Plucked sounds in particular can sound alive with their dissonance and pitch alterations. This with the Rings module and the XinematiX libraries are great to own if you want organic and life-like sounds.

### 5/5 — There’re two kinds of iPadOS synths, The VirSyn One, and the other one
