But in reality nothing…. Heater only comes on when manually pressing button on the heater. One of the worst apps come across! ### 1/5 — Schlecht *2024-10-30* Einfach nur Schlecht. Even when it’s working, which is not often, I get “Device out of range” when I try to use the app downstairs to control the radiator upstairs. I have to go half way up the stairs to get within Bluetooth range. Why not design it to work over WiFi which is much stronger throughout the house? The whole thing is an utter shambles, frequently losing connection, needing to be unpaired and re-paired. Its latest trick is to refuse to pair, despite following the instructions to the letter. Great. So now I can only use the heater as a manual device, the app does nothing at all. I’ve unpaired, re-paired, deleted, reinstalled and updated the app all to no avail. Underdeveloped junk. I loathe it. ### 1/5 — Could you please make an app that works *2024-01-21, version 1.1.20* If you are offering a radiator with a Bluetooth option, then the Bluetooth option should be readily up and running. This is basically a radiator with an on/off button as it stands, as the app is awful and does not work, making the Bluetooth in this redundant. Only way to repair the Bluetooth connection is to uninstall and reinstall the app. If I’d known the app was this bad I wouldn’t have bought the radiator! I bought a Terma radiator so that I could control it using Bluetooth technology. I really wish I hadn’t bought this particular product. The app has to be frequently deleted and reinstalled, it constantly loses connection with the radiator and sometimes the schedule I’ve set up works and sometimes it doesn’t. If it was possible to score it zero I would. I think it is poor hardware combined with poor software. Totally useless do not purchase. This app makes Bluetooth connection extremely frustrating, it works so rarely. Pairing devices takes forever with multiple failures. Even the language used when you finally make things work is lazy. Schedules are sometimes called schedules and sometimes Harmonograms which adds to the confusion. Please please bring back version 1 or even better an improved version of version 1 before I break my phone by throwing it across the bathroom in frustration. I have 4 towel rail heaters and setting them is taking over my life!! No matter how close you are to the device, it never wants to pair on the app or when you have finally paired… it then states you’re “out of range” so can make no further updates. They need significant improvement given how much they cost. Every time I want to change a setting, it takes hours of battling to connect with my radiators to update them, despite my phone being right next to the elements. It is nearly useless with the older version of the heating element (the ones without the external sensor). Guess that was Terma’s plan, to force people to spend more upgrading heading elements. Why not design a WiFi enabled heating element that actually works! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t pair *2025-01-03, version 1.1.20* Fails to pair the heater after multiple attempts. ## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Very good *2023-10-15, version 1.1.20* I got a bit scared after looking at the reviews but it works quite well for me. I’m using it for a towel heater and it’s great for now. I can tweak it from anywhere in the flat. Something like 8 meters away. I tried all settings including schedule and it does the job. I wish it was compatible with apple home though. ### 4/5 — Works fine *2023-10-13, version 1.1.20* Having seen the poor reviews I was a bit concerned buying the heater related to this app. However the app works exactly as it should and is pretty simple to use. The only problem I had (and by the look of it others have had) is pairing to the device. Once I sorted this (using the ‘device’ tab) all was straightforward. Only 4 stars as not obvious how to pair. ### 3/5 — Works once you get the hang of it *2024-11-12, version 1.1.20* Had the same problems as others of not being able to connect to the heaters or being able to upload a schedule. I’ve now found the app works as it should as long as you are holding your phone RIGHT next to the Bluetooth element on the heater! ### 3/5 — Works but could be a lot better *2024-01-13, version 1.1.20* The app works to control our towel rads, but a couple of things just really wind me up with this app. e.g. 1) Despite schedules being called “schedules” at the bottom tab, they’re referred to as “harmonogram” in the dropdown. Why?! 2) Setting a timer via Bluetooth: the default option is to turn off after the timer is finished when it would be better if it reverted back to the programmed schedule. ### 3/5 — Needs improvement *2023-11-11, version 1.1.20* After finally connecting/syncing through the device tab on the main screen iOS (which I read to do in these reviews) it’s just a matter of tweaking & playing around - I’m using the KTX4 & the room temperature sensor is way out of calibration and there doesn’t seem to be a way of recalibrating or resetting the controller So I’m just using by the heaters temperature in the schedule definitely needs some improvements to work easier but it’s not too bad Also don’t seem able to set separate schedules up as it says you can ### 3/5 — Tips to get timer/schedule to work! *2023-02-05, version 1.1.18* I have finally figured out how to set the timer/schedule function. To enable them you first have to turn the heater ON and then change the mode to heater or schedule. There are no error messages if you try to set up either function with heater OFF, but it simply ignores your input (hence all the angry reviews). Fix your manual / instructions Terma! ### 2/5 — Don’t be ridiculous… *2023-01-26, version 1.1.18* of course it’s not two stars. It’s absolutely useless. I chose this heater so that I could set the towel rail to come on an hour before I got up in the morning. It’s happened once in a week. I’ve downloaded the latest version of the software, deleted the app and reinstalled it, turned the power on and off all to no avail. I may as well be trying to use the app to operate my toaster. Come on guys put some effort into sorting your product out, it would help sales. ### 2/5 — App feels like 1980 *2022-12-04* Very disappointed with this app, after spending a lot of money in Terma devices i find myself trying lo pair to this less than intuitive app. Need to be 5-10cm to pair. All elements have the same name, so got to try every one of them till you magically find the one you are trying (Ive got 6). ### 2/5 — Glitchy app *2022-11-18, version 1.1.13* Should be great but app keeps freezing when trying to pick schedule as a heating option. Cannot get past this screen and have to shut down app each time. Each reload ends up with same issue.
