## What is Terra Incognita?

Your real steps power every expedition. Go outside, walk, and explore a continent that appears on no map. Every step lifts the fog a little further.

A research expedition drifted off course into thick fog. When it lifted, there was land ahead. On no chart, in no report. The nature is breathtaking but wrong. Plants in geometric patterns. Ruins built with tools no known civilization should have. Now you are here, mapping the impossible.

DRAW YOUR OWN ROUTE
You stand somewhere on the map, and you decide where to go next. Tap out your route tile by tile: straight through the fog toward that landmark, or the cheap way around over ground you already know. You see what the route costs in steps before you commit to it. Then go outside and walk it. No GPS, no routes to follow, no treadmill. Just move however you want.

EXPLORE YOUR OWN WORLD
Every player discovers a different continent. Your map is yours alone, full of landmarks, secrets, and terrain that no one else will see. Choose your direction based on what you need: the mountains for stone, the jungle for wood, the ruins for rare samples.

BUILD YOUR BASE CAMP
Collect wood, stone, food, and biological samples on expeditions. Invest them into 7 buildings across two categories, camp and research. Upgrade your headquarters, unlock new landscapes with the Navigation Station, and push further into the unknown.

SET UP OUTPOSTS
Stand on a spot you have revealed and build a depot there. It gathers the resources of its landscape while you are away. Nothing decays, so a lazy week costs you nothing. But a depot never pays out on its own. You collect it by walking a route back over it, and that turns your explored map from empty space into a supply network.

Every step counts three times: once for your expedition, once for your building upgrade, once for the outpost you are putting up. One walk, triple progress.

DAILY CHALLENGES
Three new goals every day. Walk steps, reveal new ground, find a secret, gather resources. Complete all three and your streak grows. Milestones at 3, 7, 14, and 30 days pay out properly.

KEEP YOUR OWN RECORD
The logbook holds every expedition, every finished upgrade, every outpost, and every challenge, with the resources each one brought in. Get a notification when an expedition, an upgrade, or an outpost is done. Four separate switches, so you decide what reaches you.

FAIR BY DESIGN
Free players explore 3 landscapes with no restrictions and build outposts without limits. The full version unlocks 5 more landscapes and the research buildings. One purchase, permanent access. No subscriptions. No ads. No pay-to-win. Walking is never blocked.

Your day is finally yours. The clock stopped arguing about it.

- Your day resets when your day does. Step counting now follows your local clock instead of some far-off midnight. No more losing a day to a timezone you have never even visited.
- Your depots finally show their receipts. Every haul a route collects now lands in the Logbook, so you can see exactly what walking home paid off.
- Daily Challenges now tell you when the next set drops, and a fresh badge waves at you the moment new goals are up. No more checking in just to find the same three.

### 1.11.0 — 2026-08-25

Every sample you ever grabbed had a name. You just never got to read it. Until now.

- The new Research Journal makes collecting its own reward. Every sample now comes with a name, a category, and two traits that hint at what is off about it. The fog was hiding a whole living world.
- Every landscape is a chapter of twelve species. Fill one and it is marked complete, badge and all.
- Your resources do not lose a thing. The same samples still pay out in full, they just also earn a page now. Even a species you have already logged pays out again, so no step is ever wasted.
- The mystery finally has a place to live: the traits. Plants that grow in perfect hexagons, artifacts from the ruins no known tool could have made. We are not explaining. You are not asking.
- A few still missing? The Laboratory does not read them for you, it points the way. It shows the species you lack as a silhouette, so you know where to walk.

- The new Statistics screen tallies it all: every step the game credited, every field you dragged out of the fog, every landmark and secret. Proof you have been busy.
- Ever wondered why your steps seem to count twice? They do. One walk can push an expedition, an upgrade, and an outpost build at once. The math is on your side for once.
- Your outposts finally stopped hiding. They live in one neat list now. Tap to fly straight to one, or knock it down when you change your mind.
- Gave the home screen a shove. Exploration takes the spotlight, the cards look sharper, and the text stays inside the lines like it was raised right.

Outposts have arrived. Your map is no longer just the ground you walked over.

- Stand on a spot you have revealed and build a depot. It gathers the resources of its landscape while you are away, with no decay and no punishment for taking a few days off.
- Depots never pay out on their own. Walk a route back over one to collect, which finally gives your explored map a job.
- Your steps now count for your expedition, your building upgrade, and your outpost build at the same time. One walk, three things moving.
- Get notified the moment a build finishes, and find every one of them in the Logbook.

The path is yours to draw. The fog does not get a say.
