HOW DOES TERRAYAP WORK? Terrayap provides immediate translations - in your voice - by using transcription, translation, and text-to-voice technology. THE INTERFACE: A messaging mobile app with desktop linking for those wanting to use it in a work environment. If sender and receiver have set different Preferred Languages, the incoming messages are automatically translated. UNIQUE FEATURES: 1.100s of voices you can choose from. All the way from your original voice (mentioned in the incoming bubble when used so receivers know when you are actually speaking), to presets, to standard voices. 2.Floating keyboard in desktop version of the app. You can choose any of the Preferred language keyboards, and as you type with your physical keyboard, the respective key on the floating keyboard activates. In this way you can get all the unique characters for any language with your existing keyboard and see how the two match. 3.Spoken Texting on Autoplay. As soon as an incoming message hits the chat, it is automatically played in the voice that sender has chosen. When you edit a message, the Spoken text on receiving end also updates. 4.Voice Message Direct. As soon as sender records a message, it is sent. Along with 3, this becomes a very powerful, efficient, focused way of communicating. 5.Image editor and translated image text. The image editor is easy to use, and easy to correct mistakes. You can add text to the image and receiver sees that text on the image translated. 6.Contact importing and Contact management. Clean and intuitive. You decide how much of your phone contacts you want to import/invite to use Terrayap. You can clearly see which contacts you have started conversations with and which are currently just sitting in your Contacts screen. 7.UI visuals and notification sounds. You have freedom to choose the bubble color, text color, and wallpaper background. In Desktop version you can also adjust incoming bubble settings. You can control the incoming and outgoing message and call sounds. 8.Multiple devices, backup, and storage. Depending on your plan, you can link multiple devices. All are synced with the primary device (the initial device that paired with the later devices). Backup your files (images, voice messages, spoken texting files, documents) to iCloud Drive or Google Drive - independent of your regular cloud back up if any. Also no more bloated local cache, because when you delete - it's deleted not just from the server but also from the local cache of your linked devices. 9.Not happy with the translation? You can select "See Original" and then "Edit Translation" and submit a correct translation. This way the translations will continue to improve over time. 10.Real-time translated calls. This is a beta version feature, compressing transcription, translation, text-to-voice, and voice recognition all into one. DESIGN An intuitive simple design that works in both portrait and landscape orientation, including long-press menus. Also the web version uses collapsible panes to increase the chat space. Light and dark mode is available in both mobile and web app. No settings redundancy. Extra features in the web app that purposely don't compete with the mobile. HOW IS CHARACTER USAGE MEASURED: We have a character usage screen that keeps track of characters used and transparently shows how the usage is calculated, based on the type of translation. Every user gets 10,000 free characters a month. IF OUT OF CHARACTERS: “10,000 Characters” is a one-time purchase that adds 10,000 characters to your account. HOW DO I CHANGE THE LANGUAGE? Two places. If you want the app to be in a different language, go to your phone language settings. If you want to change the language of the incoming messages, go to Settings, Preferred Language. "Show Original Text" extended to audio - voice messages and external audio. 2. Standard OS rating prompt. The app now calls SKStoreReviewController (via StoreReview) after a user has received a message bubble with "Sender's Actual Voice" badge on it a couple of times.
