## What is Tesla Bot?

Tesla Bot is a "Geiger counter for magnetic fields", and plays synthesized Geiger counter-style clicks relative to the strength of a magnetic field, as measured by the built-in compass/magnetometer of your device. This synthesis model is accurate and scales well, providing authentic Geiger counter-like clicks (modeled after the CDV-700).

*** ATTENTION! *** Please note current iPod Touch models do not have a compass (magnetometer). Tesla Bot will not function on an iPod Touch.

The approximate range in microtesla your device's magnetometer can sense is 30-2000.

Tesla Bot has several operating modes, such as detecting changes in magnetic vector (delta uT), compass degrees with heavy clicking at north, and selectable individual vector axis.

To clarify some things:
1. A magnetometer will not detect electromagnetic radiation (ie radio waves)
2. It will not detect ionizing radiation or particles ("radioactivity")
3. It mainly detects magnets and ferromagnetic materials. Note most steel alloys are austenitic (300- series) and are not ferromagnetic due to the allotropic gamma-phase shift at the curie point. (ie, they got too hot)

## Key features

- Magnetic field detection
- Synthesized Geiger counter clicks
- Detects changes in magnetic vector
- Compass mode with north clicking
- Selectable individual vector axis
- Models CDV-700 clicks

### 5/5 — Ekzellenttttt!!!

*2022-12-14, version 1.1*

Cheapest magnetometer you’ll ever find!! If your a ham radio enthusiast you can use it to measure the earths magnetic field strength. an important component in frequency propagation, and also space weather like CME’s that affect it. It also shows a real kick in the magnetic fields with approaching thunderstorms. Lightning actually starts from the ground up. I was measuring in a bad storm in the mountains once and the readings went so high that the phone got so hot it burned my hand!!! Wicked citizen science opportunities! Cheers David Wilde

### 5/5 — I will never be the same

*2022-05-03, version 1.1*

This app has changed me forever, before I was simply the living dead. Now, I am awakened

### 5/5 — This works

### 5/5 — Not a fake

*2015-06-09, version 1.0.0*

App actually worked. Was significantly impressed.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2015-03-07, version 1.0.0*

This is excellent! Hold it up to a Jambox with music and watch the numbers go up and down! Now we just need a chart recorder type readout to see the change in strength...
I would pay something for that...

### 4/5 — Effective

*2013-05-14*

Works really well. Nice!

### 1/5 — Zero Stars

*2013-04-30, version 1.0.0*

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH IPOD 4G.

### 2/5 — Wrong usage

i downloaded it because i like tesla
pretty cool

## Frequently asked questions about Tesla Bot

### What does Tesla Bot do?

Tesla Bot functions as a Geiger counter for magnetic fields. It uses your device's built-in magnetometer to measure magnetic field strength and produces synthesized Geiger counter-style clicks that vary with the field's intensity.

### Does Tesla Bot detect radioactivity?

No, Tesla Bot does not detect electromagnetic radiation like radio waves, nor does it detect ionizing radiation or particles, which is commonly referred to as radioactivity. It primarily detects magnets and ferromagnetic materials.

### What magnetic field range can Tesla Bot detect?

The approximate range in microtesla (µT) that your device's magnetometer can sense is between 30 and 2000 µT. This allows for detection of a variety of magnetic field strengths.

### What operating modes does Tesla Bot offer?

Tesla Bot provides several operating modes. These include detecting changes in magnetic vector (delta µT), showing compass degrees with distinct clicks at north, and allowing selection of individual vector axes for focused measurement.

### Does Tesla Bot work on all devices?

Tesla Bot requires a device with a compass (magnetometer) to function. Current iPod Touch models do not have this sensor and therefore will not work with Tesla Bot. It is supported on iPhone and iPad.

### Is Tesla Bot free to use?

Yes, Tesla Bot is available for free. There are no costs associated with downloading or using its features, and it does not offer in-app purchases.

### How often is Tesla Bot updated?

Tesla Bot was last updated on October 1, 2015, with version 1.1. While it has not received recent updates, its core functionality remains stable for devices that support its requirements.

### Does Tesla Bot have ads?

No, Tesla Bot does not contain advertisements. As a free utility app, it provides an ad-free experience for users.
