Information such as motor power, battery cell temps and max regen are now at my fingertips. A must have for iOS Tesla users. ### 5/5 — Extremely powerful and configurable *2020-03-10* This is the ultimate data viewing app for Tesla, and the only one where you can update and add your own signals without an need to update the app. In fact you can load in a database and use with any CAN device. Gauges have several well thought out options so you can have different styles on screen simultaneously. Ive been using this to produce a series of YouTube videos deep diving into the signals in my Model 3 and how it’s various systems react to different situations. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Useless on 2024 Model Y! *2024-06-07* Gives incorrect LV battery voltage & current draw. Never - after multiple attempts & long drives - populated all cell voltages. **Developer response:** tes•LAX is a generic CAN bus monitoring and visualization tool. As is explained in the app listing and in the app itself, the developer does not actively respond to the frequent changes made by vehicle manufacturers to CAN bus signals. The Extra Strength feature set allows customers to maintain the signal information themselves in response to such changes. On a best-effort basis, we will occasionally update the decoding logic for some vehicles when new information is available from the community. Please reach out to support for further assistance. ### 1/5 — Not user friendly *2024-02-29* Can’t find anywhere where it shows you how to connect your car to this app. Maybe I’m just an idiot if it’s there in the app, they don’t make it easy to find. if you cannot connect the application to the car it’s useless so until I figure out how to connect my car to this, it’s useless 19 bucks wasted **Developer response:** Sorry you are dissatisfied with your purchase. Core functionality of tes•LAX is completely free and the app strongly recommends that you test your hardware accessory installation and connectivity fully before choosing to unlock additional features. Please reach out to the various support options to help resolve any issues you may be experiencing. ### 2/5 — Does not work with VLinker *2026-01-02* Probably is a great app, it appears really well built, but the developer advertises—and you can see the VLinker MC+ however when it tries to connect it ends up disconnecting. Unable to use. ### 5/5 — Best CAN data viewer! *2024-08-08* Awesome app, combined with canserver its a great way to see all the data on your Tesla’s CAN data. ### 5/5 — Gut gepflegte App insbesondere für Tesla *2024-01-15, version 2.4.2* Bildschirme können umgestaltet werden, so dass perfekt passende eigene Ansichten möglich sind. Mittlerweile ist das auch für Diagramme möglich, top. Die App und die Can-Bus-Parameter werden gepflegt, so dass die App auch in Zukunft noch sinnvoll nutzbar ist. Die HUD-Funktion mit gespiegelter Darstellung für die Reflektion über die Frontscheibe ist ein nettes Gimmick. Leider hinkt die In-App-Hilfe der sehr aktuellen Version auf der Internet-Seite des Programmierers hinterher, so dass in der App der Hinweis auf den sicheren und sehr schnellen und trotzdem recht günstigen vLinker FS mit classic Bluetooth für iOS fehlt, das sollte unbedingt nachgetragen werden. ### 5/5 — Je recommande *2023-04-09* Superbe application je recommande. Finding the best Bluetooth adapter is a bit of a gamble. I tried several and so far the best is the MX+ which works great with my iPhone 13 max. Other adapters work but some data is missing. If you like to tinker and see data, and own a tesla, you’ll love this. My only critique would be to translate some of the nomenclature into natural language to improve understanding for more people. But… *2022-03-05, version 2.0.3* This App is awesome and works absolutely flawlessly for me. Great work! I would just love to see it being published to be used with Apple Silicon Macs. It’s the same architecture as iPhones/iPads and to my knowledge not a big hustle to make it available on M1 Macs. I would very much appreciate it!
