## What is Tesuji?

Learn Go by playing, then practice at your own pace.

Tesuji introduces the rules through a short interactive course: placing stones, liberties, capture, connected groups, eyes, ko, passing and scoring. Try each idea on a real board, get feedback, and return to a saved lesson whenever you like. A short history and a glossary keep unfamiliar terms close at hand.

Practice on 9×9, 13×13 or 19×19 boards. Play against the built-in KataGo opponent or place both colors locally. Explore suggested continuations, request a hint, and see an estimate of which areas each side may control. Game analysis runs on your device with the bundled model.

When both players pass, Tesuji shows the final area score and its arithmetic. The rules use positional superko, no suicide and 7.5 komi. Finish disputed captures before passing; there is no manual dead-stone marking.

Your current game, tutorial progress and preferences are saved locally. Stone sounds and move haptics have separate controls. No account is required.
