Tetherd is a simple safety net that gives everyone peace of mind -- without the awkward daily "are you OK?" phone calls.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Set your check-in schedule during onboarding (every 30 minutes to once daily)
2. Add one or more emergency contacts, ordered by priority
3. When it is time to check in, you get a notification -- tap "I'm OK" and you are done
4. If you miss a check-in, Tetherd sends escalating reminders over a configurable grace period
5. If the grace period expires without a response, your emergency contacts are alerted automatically

FEATURES

Safety Check-Ins
Choose from flexible intervals: every 30 minutes, hourly, every 2 hours, every 4 hours, or once daily. Confirm your safety with a single tap from a notification or inside the app.

Escalating Alerts
Tetherd does not cry wolf. Missed check-ins progress through three escalation levels -- gentle reminder, urgent warning, and emergency alert -- before your contacts are ever notified.

Emergency Contacts
Add multiple contacts with priority ordering. Tetherd alerts them in order, so the right person is reached first.

Quiet Hours
Set your bedtime and wake-up time. Tetherd pauses all check-ins and escalations overnight so you sleep undisturbed.

Pause Mode
Heading to the hospital or on vacation? Pause your check-ins with an auto-resume date. No missed alerts, no worried contacts.

Check-In History
Review your complete history of check-ins, including timestamps, response methods, and any alerts that were sent.

Companion View
Emergency contacts can see the connected person's current safety status at a glance.

Emergency Trigger
Need help immediately? The emergency button alerts all your contacts with a 5-second cancellable countdown.

DESIGNED FOR EVERYONE

Tetherd uses the Atkinson Hyperlegible font, designed by the Braille Institute for maximum readability. All touch targets are at least 60 points. Every icon has a text label. The interface meets WCAG accessibility standards with high-contrast colors and no color-only status indicators.

PRIVACY FIRST

All your data stays on your device. Tetherd does not have a server. Your check-in history, contact information, and personal details are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and are never transmitted to us or any third party.
