## What is Tethered?

Tethered is app blocking, but less boring.

Block distracting apps. Lock in when you need to. Earn your screen time back by doing something better first.

No guilt trips. No dramatic digital detox. Just a better way to stop accidentally losing an hour to your phone.

**HARD MODE**
For when you know future-you is going to try to quit. Turn on Hard Mode and the block stays on until the session is over.

**HABITS**
Earn access back with real-world goals. Hit your step target. Go to the gym. Get somewhere you actually meant to go. Finish a habit, then unlock.

**SMART BLOCKING**
Block the apps that keep stealing your attention. Set up study hours, work sessions, phone-free evenings, or whatever makes sense for you.

**FOCUS SCORE & ANALYTICS**
See where your time is going and whether you are actually getting better at putting your phone down.

Tethered is not about using your phone less just for the sake of it.

It is about wasting less time on it.

Less scrolling. More literally anything else.

Apple Health: Tethered can optionally read activity data from Apple Health to verify Habits such as steps, distance, flights climbed, and workouts.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-05

Bug Fixes

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-22

Making an honor-system habit is now a single screen — name it, pick its art, and you're done.

Smoother onboarding, better-paced intro, and a cleaner upgrade screen.

Fixed sluggish settings and a handful of visual glitches.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-15

Bug Fixes

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-14

Your Focus Score is now more accurate and matches everywhere. It counts your real screen time and shows new daily signals like first scroll and longest break. Camera habits are simpler to set up, with ideas if you're stuck. Plus fixes for swiping and navigation.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-04

Fixed: removing an app from a running session now unblocks it
right away, instead of leaving it blocked until the session ended.

Fixed: turning on Hard Mode from a rule now works. The confirmation
screen explaining what you're agreeing to failed to appear, so the
switch just snapped back.

Fixed: the upgrade screen could fail to open from inside a rule.

Clearer pricing: plans now lead with the amount you're actually
charged.

Setup ends more gently, and no longer implies you have to pay to
continue.
