In order to play stories, etc. my phone needs to remain active. Kind of defeats the purpose of meditation and relaxation when my screen has to be on. Looking forward to this fix. Thank you. I woke up this morning in a panic and realized I didn't even know why. So I decided it was time to try an anxiety meditation. I chose "Visualizing Stress as A storm". This is the one. I feel much better now and the storm scenario is definitely something I can relate to. Her voice and accent were soothing but not gooey. ### 5/5 — Very pleasurable! *2024-11-04* I always try new apps to listen to at bedtime. They just don't have what I'm looking for, although I'm not sure what that is. Tethered is awesome though. The voices, the music, the cadence and the beautiful Scottish accent all combine into a marvelous listening experience. What a treat! Customer service is very responsive. Loving it — however, would love a lot more if sound were coming through both AirPods, and not just the left. And Cannot unsubscribe. *2026-05-10, version 2.4.1* There is no easy way to unsubscribe. When you try to delete your account, you’re told that that does not unsubscribe you from charges. And they tell you to go to manage subscriptions. But there is no way that I can see to find a link that says manage subscriptions. ### 1/5 — Very few stories, all male narrators *2025-05-28, version 1.1.1* Majorly lacking variety. Yet today they took more money. Have not gotten help. I don’t enjoy giving bad reviews… just want the withdrawals to stop. ### 2/5 — Why AI?! *2026-08-17, version 3.0* I have enjoyed this app for over a year now, and have stopped using it since it has adopted AI :( Very disappointing. For an app that references nature and history of people who have deeply respected the land, it feels very hypocritical to use a technology that is so incredibly bad for the environment. Since this new app launch in June 2025, my subscription is no longer recognized by the app, I had to download the app again, and the app continues to charge me monthly for a service I am unable to access—nothing relaxing about any of that! So, beware. ### 2/5 — Unacceptable Teaser *2025-06-18, version 1.1.1* Really liked the one sleep meditation I got to try But 7 days to try some of the options blinked directly to “Purchase” in big letters after trying just one. What a come-on. I’ll stick with my Aura subscription and the limited free options on Calm. ### 2/5 — The app crashes when you select Get Help *2024-10-17, version 1.1.1* Oh the irony. I’m having an issue with the app, but when I visit Get Help section in the app’s Account Section to report a “Problem with the app”… the app crashes. I would give the app a higher rating, but at the moment, I can’t even report an accessibility issue. ### 3/5 — Keep AI out of mindfulness *2026-01-16, version 2.3.0* So much AI slop on the cover art and thumbnails—think uncanny valley faces, jumbled text on a pint glass, and the same eerily smooth, childlike woman that shows up everywhere on pinterest now. It just felt so wrong for an app that’s meant to celebrate the authentic soulfulness and natural beauty found in Scotland. I found I couldn’t get past it, and made me mistrust everything else—is the music AI generated, for example? Beyond that, many of the narrations sound like they were recorded in an echoey room on a tinny mic. Love the idea of the app, and hope that more is invested into better audio and actual designers and artists as it grows, but hopping off at the end of my free trial for now. ### 3/5 — Nice but few male voices *2025-06-12, version 1.1.1* Nice app, delightful content. I prefer male voices as sleep stories so this didn’t work for me. ### 3/5 — Still being charged after removing app. *2024-12-08* The app itself is great. However, I canceled it and they keep charging me. Unable to contact them online because it requires you to check a box letting them know if you want to be on their email lists, yet this does not work..you can’t check the box. For this reason, I’m left feeling majorly disappointed with this app. **Developer response:** We are sorry you experienced issues with the contact form, we weren't aware there was an issue with it and have fixed it now. Karen has a beautiful, soothing voice. The app’s tech support is most helpful as well. I had issues logging in to the new app. They researched the issue and helped me every step of the way. ### 5/5 — Great app *2026-05-13, version 2.4.1* So far I am really enjoying this app, from the music, to stories to recipes, its quite nice. The pace for the stories and recipes are fantastic as well.
