I’ve tried to bare with it for a couple weeks but the test levels are way off. I will go back to drop test since they are more accurate. It seems they need to update testing for newer iPhones and stop so hard a pushing product to buy. ### 1/5 — Can’t even get in *2021-06-05, version 2.0.0* I went to create a login, put in all info. Received a message “down loading info” or something of that nature. Received an email immediately, clicked on the link, and it says in a new window I get this message. Wish I could try it but I can’t. I go back to the app and try to log in, says it can’t. It says “not an authenticate user” Account Activation activated Sorry, Link has already been activated. Please login with mobile application. ### 2/5 — Good keeping track but that’s it *2021-04-03, version 2.0.0* It keeps track of your input but that’s all, there’s no help, advice, tips, no interaction. I’d like to be able to name my fish, not just list them as I have 2 yellow danios and it would be nice to be able to make notes on their health and antics. I’m having a HUGE filter problem but there’s not even a website link or any help on chow to fix it. Good design, poor execution. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2021-03-21, version 2.0.0* I read the reviews but I still downloaded it to try the app myself. I got to the create your account page and the email to activate the account and that’s it. It “could not authenticate user” and it would not “reset my password”. It’s like I just did not exist so I just deleted the app. ### 2/5 — What’s up with my account? *2021-03-16, version 2.0.0* I downloaded this app and created an account but when I went to sign in, the app told me my account wasn’t authenticated. So I went to the authentication email and clicked the link it told me my account had already been authenticated, and I needed to sign in on the app. And then the cycle repeated its self. ### 1/5 — Can’t even get past creating an account *2021-03-11, version 2.0.0* I opened the app, created an account and went to my email to activate it and got an error message. The login I just created doesn’t even work, and reading into the reviews I’m not the only one with this issue. I liked the idea of having an app to remind me when my filter needs changed but that seems like it’s not going to happen. Uninstalling. ### 1/5 — Does this app even work??? *2021-03-04, version 2.0.0* Singed up and clicked the link to authenticate, says Sorry, Link has already been activated. Please login with mobile application Link doesn’t effect the mobile app so it says user not authenticated, but it still send the link to my email thru the app to click on the link to authenticate.....fail Tetra. ### 1/5 — Wouldn’t even let me login *2021-02-02, version 2.0.0* I tried making an account many different times and I even went on their website to try to make one. It won’t let me login without verifying my email, but the one time the verification email came, it said that the verification link had already been used but it still wouldn’t let me login. I deleted this app immediately after. ### 2/5 — PLEASE UPDATE this app *2021-01-22, version 2.0.0* Please update this app to allow us to have Glofish Tetras AND other fish in the same tank! That is crazy that I can either add the Glofish OR my neon tetras and placos, but not both in the same tank. Like the other reviewer said, simplify it to Fresh Water or Salt Water, and then add all fish accordingly. I LOVE the suggestions as to which fish will go together, etc, but it doesn’t help if I can’t list all I have (and we plan to add more over time!) I feel Ike this app has good potential to be the go-to for fish newbies like us, but not if it can’t accommodate such a simple request... thanks!! ### 2/5 — Has Potential but is dangerously inaccurate *2020-09-18, version 2.0.0* As some other reviewers have noted the analysis done for water tests do not seem to accurately pick up the colors on the test strip. This is leading the app to make erroneous recommendations on treating the water to bring it into balance. Once this is corrected, it would also be useful to see the history of water tests, not just the most recent one. ### 1/5 — Needs more work *2020-05-16, version 2.0.0* When I went to sign up it said there was an already existing account I never tried to sign up besides now I tried all my other emails and they said the same thing I even made a new google account by I thought those were just hacked but it said the same thing plz fix your game ### 1/5 — Gated behind a broken account creation process *2020-05-12, version 2.0.0* App can’t be used at all. You can’t use the app unless you make an account with Tetra first. Creating the account in the app appeared to do nothing, but when I tried again it said the account already exists now. Then I tried to log in with the password I had just created, but it said the account needed to be verified and check my email. Yet, nothing in my email from Tetra (even spam folder). So... as far as I can tell I can’t use this app at all because I can’t create an account! ### 1/5 — Immediately deleted *2020-02-13, version 2.0.0* I thought I would enjoy this app as it says you can keep track of your tanks, it’s inhabitants, water readings, etc. When I added a tank it had me choose what kind of tank it was, but when I went to add fish, it excluded about 2-3 different types of the fish I have in my tank because it didn’t think they belong in it. I have 5 black neon tetra, 2 mystery snails, 2 Ghost Shrimp, and a Male Betta. They do wonderfully together, but I can’t add some of them I to my tank because they don’t list them. The water tracking feature doesn’t allow you to actually track it, and you have to say what kind of strips you’re using (I use a master kit). It’s a bit frustrating I can’t just input numbers to track. This isn’t really what I wanted. ### 1/5 — Test strip is inaccurate *2019-12-27, version 2.0.0* I have 2 tanks and they are both balanced now but when I tried the picture of the strip it gave me inaccurate information and said my nitrites are to high when they were fine. And if you ask for recommendations to fix the problem instead of giving you information it tries to sell you product by saying buy this to help you with this. And it was wrong it had nothing to do with the problem. Your better off just reading the labels on the test strip container yourself ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Feeders No Longer Supported *2023-03-06* They should pull their feeder from shelves if the app doesn't support feeders anymore. ### 1/5 — Can’t even see the screen *2023-02-05, version 3.0.6* You can’t see the entire screen on an iPhone and there is no back button so once you click something you have to go back to the home page if you want to do anything else. When doing a test you can’t read the full description because the screen is cut off on the edges. ### 1/5 — App update is horrible *2022-10-15, version 3.0.6* I used the previous version of this app and loved it. However the changes that have been made make it impossible to use. It is nearly impossible to scan the test strips. When the strips do scan, the results on the screen are inaccurate compared to what is seen on the strip itself. I relied on the previous version when starting up my tanks, it was great because the app would tell me exactly what to do to fix the problems. I wish they had not done this upgrade. ### 1/5 — Horrible update *2022-08-10, version 3.0.0* I used to be able to use this app but now I can’t log in. I have created an account for every single email address I have and have changed the passwords for every single account at least 3 times and no matter what it say I have the password incorrect. Do not get this app. ### 1/5 — Not much to like *2022-04-08, version 2.0.0* We acquired an aquarium from a neighbor and they included some fish with it. Wanting to make sure we took proper care of those fish I downloaded this app to find out what the fish were and how to take care of them. There are limited pictures of fish, which makes identification hard. When I googled the fish, I couldn’t find them on the list of fish provided. I can’t add all the fish I have to my aquarium and that’s the point of the app right? I don’t think enough time or energy was spent on this app. I’m sorry to all the hard work that went into it by those who put the time in but this app is severely lacking. ### 1/5 — Missing tons of fish species *2021-11-10, version 2.0.0* Really thought this was going to be THE app but, I have fish that aren’t even on the list. Very frustrating! There isn’t even a “add your own” button or a place in “support” to ask why certain fish species aren’t even on the list and if they will be added to the list. ### 1/5 — I don’t like that you can only add tetras *2021-09-03, version 2.0.0* I don’t like that you can only add tetras and nothing else so example it told me my tank was at 70% capacity but that’s not accurate because I couldn’t add my 2 snails and my rubber lips so therefore the information isn’t helpful because it’s not including all inhabitants of my tank ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2021-08-03, version 2.0.0* I downloaded the app and followed instructions and according to master test kit from API and tetra test strips my water parameters are optimized 100% and when I used this app I got the opposite, only thing that came out correct was 0 ammonia but everything else was spiked to unhealthy numbers which is outrageous considering I’m using the best test kit available which is master test kit from API so I don’t recommend this app for info ### 1/5 — This App is Not Functioning! *2021-08-02, version 2.0.0* I downloaded the app. It asked me to set up an account, which I did. I’ve waited for days for the confirmation email to confirm my account. I checked my inbox, spam, junk. No confirmation email. Apple not allow me to access its features or function until I confirm my account. There is no contact info for help. ### 1/5 — Couldn’t get past sign up screen *2021-06-17, version 2.0.0* When I put my name, email, and password into the create an account screen it said the my account was created successfully, but when it brought me back to the sign in screen it said “User not authenticate” every time I put in the info. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 4/5 — This is SO helpful!!!!! *2020-09-30, version 2.0.0* I can not believe this app, it helps me remember what stuff that I need to do and its so helpful! The water testing strips were so helpful, all you had to do is take a picture and it tells you what needs to be completed. This app is a bit weird and can be annoying at some times though. If I did not get this app, my fish would be floating at the top of the tank by the end of the day! I recommend this to all and especially beginners! ### 4/5 — Helpful! *2016-08-22, version 1.0.0* Great app! Helps me keep track of my aquarium. The testing part is a little tricky at first but once I got the hang ofit I found it very helpful. I think we need a calibration on the app because it clearly can’t see white...... I always take the picture under the same lighting so I now for sure that everything is the same. “I will put a 5 star once this issue is fixed” Calibrate your app for newer phones ### 3/5 — Strip reader is inaccurate otherwise okay *2019-10-22, version 2.0.0* As others have noted, the strip reader is inaccurate. It told me my nitrates were high when they looked just fine to me. So then I tested some RO water with it. Guess what, high nitrates in the RO water too. Otherwise it is an okay app for logging fish and keeping track of maintenance. ### 3/5 — Good app but needs more *2018-12-27, version 2.0.0* This app is really good and can help with a lot, the one problem I have with it is that you cannot add separate kinds of fish in one aquarium. I have a goldfish aquarium with one plecostromus. Since I have the aquarium set as a goldfish aquarium, it does not allow me to register any fish that are not goldfish. Fix this and I would rate 4 maybe 5 stars ### 3/5 — An ok app, no more than that😕 *2018-05-26, version 1.0.0* First topic, the water tester. For one, I happen to know that my water is full of chlorine (getting to it) but the app says the chlorine level is, "totally fine". And besides that, it says on my bottle of test strips that the water has a total of 0 Alkalinity, but the APP on the other hand had other ideas. It said it was, "High. See recommendations." And about the, "See recommendations" button, I think they just want your money, because it's all, tetra product this, and tetra product that. And all in all, I think it's overrated. 😕 ### 2/5 — Very clunky *2023-01-11, version 3.0.6* I downloaded this as a recommendation from the tetra products I bought. Seemed helpful at first. But it’s kind of hard to use. Searching the fish is hard to do. Can’t put the fish in my tank that I need to because of the fish add parameters so therefore my fish count is inaccurate. The ability to scan the test strips and it will graph it for you is cool but almost never works properly and can only use 6-1 test strips of tetra brand. None others. I have multiple tanks and I added them to the appt but can only click into and edit the first one on the list. Just very bad programming. Needs a serious update and then would be a very helpful resource for aquarium owners!!! ### 2/5 — New update broke manual feed *2023-01-01, version 3.0.6* The new update doesn’t scroll in the Feeder screen. So once the feeder has run enough times the feeding history is too long that you can’t see it use the manual feed button because it is off the bottom of the screen and can’t be scrolled to. Please fix. ### 2/5 — Updated app *2022-09-22, version 3.0.6* After updating I’ve noticed you can only use 6-1 test strips and nitrate strip. I have 5-1 rest strips.
