### 3/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2015-10-11*

I wanted a simple app that would allow me to look up sex offenders in my area, and this app provides that information. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to navigate the different screens though.

### 1/5 — Map horrible

*2014-08-26*

When it comes to sex offenders, get it right! The list view was more accurate, but map was limited... If you are going to show offenders, make it right!!!

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2014-08-25*

Displays exactly what it says it does in a slick design. Didn't expect something this nice from a government app. It's refreshing to see apps out there providing a worthwhile service rather than giving you the ability to shoot more animated birds out of canons.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This app stopped working about a year ago

*2022-02-06*

This app worked great for about 10 years, but hasn’t worked for some time now.

### 1/5 — Data collection overload

*2021-11-19*

After reading about Automatically Collecting Data from my device IP, mobile company and SOOOO much more! creeped me out! What a way to make an innocent person feel virtually violated. I just wanted to see if there’s perverts, serial killers or rapest , living in our neighborhood! Dang!

### 1/5 — Unable to open

*2021-02-08*

I opened it today to a notice that the app would be updated the next time I used it. There are two buttons - one for “okay” and one for “cancel.” Nether button worked. I manually shut down the app and restarted it. A disclaimer showed up with no scroll bar and there was no way to read to the bottom or remove the disclaimer from the screen. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and the same problems happened. I can’t even get to the main page.

### 1/5 — Practically worthless.

*2019-08-20*

The Texas Dept of Safety has many many duties, one of which is driver licenses and ID cards. I would argue this is the top reason the public has to stop their life and deal with the TxDPS (DMV for ppl not from here.) If you want help with anything having to do with getting a driver license or a Texas ID card, this app is completely worthless. I can see it being semi-worthwhile if you’re a police officer of any variety and wanting to look up the current top ten fugitives.

### 1/5 — Less Options

*2019-04-08*

There were more departments / divisions available. The various department searches are gone. Such as Department of Motor Vehicle Division / Drivers License Division etc. These are gone. Only the news and related junk.

### 1/5 — No info, keeps crashing

*2017-10-03, version 1.3.12*

When I first started using app it worked great. Now I get nothing, cannot bring any info up

### 1/5 — App Shows There Are No Sex Offenders in Texas

*2016-11-24, version 1.2.5*

This App shows that there are no sex offenders in Texas. Yippee! It's great to live in a state without sex offenders.

### 1/5 — Good start … no maintenance ...

*2016-03-13*

Initially, this was a great start to a useful application when published last September. However, in spite of dozens of crashes and reported issues, there has not been another release.

Don’t publish applications that you are not intending to maintain.

Seriously, no updates in 1.5 years?

### 1/5 — Try again

*2015-10-01*

This doesn't work and pictures of the criminals don't load. The whole reason for downloading it

### 1/5 — Read the disclaimer

*2014-08-27, version 1.2.3*

The app disclaimer states they can use your information and even give to third party companies.. Would not recommend this app

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Please Update the APP

*2016-07-12*

Please update the APP is almost 2 years update

### 5/5 — IWatch

*2014-09-30*

Great app. Showed corrected address of
near-by sex offender, when he did not show up on others. TEXAS Number1! capital of the world

### 5/5 — Great App

*2014-08-28*

What a great app! Pics are very clear, map is great. Definitely something handy to have! Downloading this app on my 10 year old daughter's iPod next. So, so useful!

### 5/5 — Great Info

### 5/5 — SO glad I have this app for back to school

*2014-08-27*

This app is perfect for back to school- I've checked out our entire neighborhood and made the kids download it. I feel much safer and more knowledgable. Thanks, DPS!

### 5/5 — Grandparent

*2014-08-26*

Great app: easy to use: full of information

### 5/5 — Extremely useful!

*2014-08-26*

I just used the app and found a few sex offenders near me. Very informative! It's also useful to have a one stop shop for reading up on the latest news about Texas's Most Wanted Fugitives. Highly recommend this app to any and all Texas residents interested in staying abreast of incidents pertaining to the state's fugitives, sex offenders, and human trafficking incidents.

### 5/5 — Must have!

*2014-08-25*

Everyone should probably get this app in tx, very useful.
As for the quality, I found it to be very responsive and it looks good!

### 5/5 — Young girl.

*2014-08-25*

Now I'll be able to make sure my first dates aren't sexual predators!!!!

### 5/5 — Dps

*2014-08-25*

Very informative. Allows you to see the registered offenders near your area. Good to know who's around you or your kids schools/daycares.
