I enjoy the game for the most part but the algorithm in the card games, (mostly noticed in BlackJack) are way off. Obviously it’s not real money but it would be nice to play with a real shuffled 52 card deck. ### 2/5 — Gameplay *2026-06-28, version 72.28.0* The bad beats are ridiculous at this point. I can’t even play for an hour without at least ten bad beats. Not even worth trying anymore. ### 2/5 — They have bugs that make the payouts cheat you *2026-05-11, version 72.28.0* Many times on ultimate hold ‘em offline I’m playing out here where I don’t get WiFi on my property and I have higher pair than the dealer yet they take my chips away from me! 2 stars this is all whacked off. A couple times they did it with WiFi too. ### 3/5 — Unlikely hands. *2026-04-19* The game is fun, and I’ve been enjoying it but it perpetually gives other players the same unlikely or slightly better rare hand that you have, making you buy in more than you should. For example, if you have a straight, it’ll also give 3 of the other players at the table the same straight. **Developer response:** Bad luck? It happens. We aren't lucky all the time either. The truth is, when the Random Number Generator works properly (and ours does - we had it tested by an independent company), it can be the worst kind of troll. Just try to be a little more patient. Sooner or later, you'll hit your jackpot. ### 3/5 — Glad it’s ad free, but to say this is fair play is… *2026-03-17* a huge stretch, you only need visit the blackjack tables to experience this. If the dealer starts out with a face card, the next card will give the dealer 20 or blackjack roughly 7-8 times out of 10, it’s very noticeable. In addition, the star tournaments are killing gameplay. Players join a table then run down the clock to the last second, then every card turn do the same. A round of for example Ultimate Holdem that should take a minute or less, can last 2-3 minutes due to players hoping the star reward hits. People,myself included will leave money on the table and just leave due to all the stalling. This could be a great game, but fair it is not, at least not right now. Otherwise decent game. Offline the game works good. Too bad one needs to be online for the desirable games. UPDATE: Congrats guys you have fixed something that wasn’t broken. With your “UPDATE” my avatar got trashed. Thankfully that appears to be the only issue discovered. Gameplay may be quicker…ooh ahh hold me back. +1 Star for effort. **Developer response:** Hello! But *2025-12-20, version 60.36.40* I like the games overall. Just gets a bit much when you lose 40-50 games in a row. In black jack just now, I lost 10 hands in a row. Had 20 a few times but the dealer miraculously gets 5-6 card 21's over and over. Doesn't matter the game you play when you win big you will lose it all soon after. Had 800 million then went on a losing streak for days. No matter what game or how much I bet. Just seems silly, like all the other comments about winning and losing. ### 4/5 — Ultimate Texas Hold'em *2025-12-14, version 60.36.40* I've thoroughly enjoyed playing poker on this app. But I keep waiting for you ro add Ultimate Texas Hold'em. I've been playing on Blackjackist, and it would be nice to play on Pokerist +. ### 1/5 — Losing Algorithm *2025-12-08, version 60.36.40* This game is on arcade so it should be the same as the original version but without in game purchases and ads, but this is not the same version, way less games to play, much much more limited. Also as a developer myself, it’s very easy to notice the algorithm that is written for this which makes you lose all the time so you go to the main version and buy chips. ### 2/5 — Fishing *2025-12-04* Okay, Ive played many poker apps and they are all the same. This is very heavily rigged in the apps favor, players have very low win rates as usual in an attempt to get you to buy chips. I haven't bought anything in this game, but I can guarantee just like the others, the moment you buy chips your win rate will go up. Its a psychological move that tricks your brain into thinking buying chips is a good thing. Just be prepared to lose a whole bunch and play the lowest buy in tables if you wanna play for extended periods. The second you play in a higher stakes game you will lose everything in an attempt to get you to buy. I hope developers at some point in time drop this design, it is the main reason I never play poker apps longer than a week or two. This will be deleted soon **Developer response:** Hello! I hate this game and I wish you delete it. As for the statement for trying to make it “fair” was the obvious not accurate detail. It wouldn’t matter what table I moved to or however many players. Dealer got cards totaling 20 more than any player. However, I just sat for 2 hours and a bot won EVERY single hand in Omaha. I was curious and experimenting, but witnessing it became frustrating. Bots come in and force you ‘All In’ and win. Seriously, more flush wins than I can count, four of a kind, and the least was a three of a kind. You get a flush; they have a flush with higher card. It’s ridiculous. Texas hold ‘em has a lot of these issues too. While it’s late at night and there may not be online players, filling the table with AI brainiac players is ridiculous. They say that there is a random generator, but I’m a developer by trade, there is no possible way it’s randomly generated. Black jack, for example, has MULTIPLE face cards in the same round during tables. It’s figuratively impossible to have 5+ straight hands with face cards. This needs serious work. ### 1/5 — Worst game ever *2026-06-05, version 72.28.0* I have tried a lot of poker games, this is the worst one, save yourself some time and don’t play this. ### 1/5 — Bots and oxygen thieves *2026-05-06, version 72.28.0* As per the title. full of bots that the creators have put into the game to make numbers and don’t care enough to give them different usernames which are so obscure it’s impossible! I get that it’s not real money and supposed to be fun but most players make it unbearable ### 1/5 — Terrible game *2026-05-05* Your Pokerist game is one of the worst poker apps. It’s no win situation. I can go for months without winning which is unrealistic. For whet I pay apple for apple one you would think that you would allow the program to have players win without waiting months of losing. It gives me a hand which I should stay in with only to get beat on the last card which happens over and over until all the chips i have build up from playing for a few weeks are are gone. And it won’t allow me to win for months after that. I dont understand the point of aggravating players with a program that doesn’t allow winning more than losing **Developer response:** Hello! The first time I won I questioned, the second time I won I paid more attention, stopped immediately, and reported it. Stay clear of the star tournament until they fix. In Blackjack the dealer has a face card 19 times out of 20. And blah blah blah from the developer about their “certified algorithm and RNG”… the game is still rigged. ### 1/5 — The game outright cheats. *2026-02-05* I will screen-record this the next time I play, to verify this. But several times, playing Ultimate Poker (I stay away from the online-only games, after reading several reviews), my winning hand has “lost”) to the game’s inferior hand. This most often happens when getting pairs (I just had a pair of 5s, dealer had 2s, yet they “won”), but it has happened when I’ve had two pairs to dealer’s one. Black jack is unplayable due to the house always winning by one. Texas holdem regular tables and tournaments are full of bots and “all in” boosters. Customer support does nothing but gas light you and will only respond with “our algorithm is fair. See this link that certifies it as fair.” Garbage game. Over a year played and every win I get is met with 10+ losses. Outcomes are not inky improbable, but statistically impossible. Apple should take this game off of the App Store.
