Normally the app works great and I enjoy using it when it storms. ### 2/5 — What happened to the radar?? *2026-05-01* I usually don’t write reviews but this really annoyed me. I’ve been using this app for over a year and while it’s not my favorite because the predictions aren’t very correct I mostly used it for the radar anyways, which is all janky now after the last update. I liked the different settings to customize the radar appearance and in my experience it was more accurate than the other weather app I have. There’s no slider to control the radar playback anymore, you can’t see the boundary for any warnings and it’s just overall more difficult and frustrating to use. Even when I go into the “… & more” icon in the bottom right and click on the radar there, it’s glitched and won’t let me use the slider for the playback on radar. It also shows a question mark in the middle of the screen and is super laggy when I try to zoom in or out. Not going to uninstall yet in hopes that it will get fixed but if it’s not better in a few weeks I’m uninstalling😔 ### 2/5 — What happened to the old radar? *2026-05-01, version 3.0* The recent replacement “Zoom Radar”, is not as concise & sharp, no longer provides a marker for my location, the dark background is missing. None of the news stations were covering our bad weather. Texas Storm Chasers were the ONLY ones sending out warnings. The tornado came down our street and obliterated houses. Because of TSC, I had my kids in our bathtub with helmets and a mattress. Had the tornado made it to our house, they would have literally saved our lives. I do however find it hilarious when something goes in front of the radar and makes a cone. I love all the options.. the severe weather outlooks, alerts that actually show up (the weather channel app is useless for this), and the day by day and hourly forecasts. Having more than one radar choice is so useful, and it’s made predicting whatever is heading my way so much easier.
