Textcoach® is like having a mental health “Coach” in your pocket! Designed to help address anxiety, depression, burnout and other concerns while on the go, Textcoach® allows you to begin texting with a licensed clinician on your mobile or desktop device. Exchange texts, voice notes, videos and resources to help boost your emotional wellbeing by downloading the app or visiting the website. 

 

Connect with a mental health Coach on your own terms – no appointments or wait times! This stigma-free access point helps you address concerns like stress, anxiety, resilience, relationship issues and more. 

 

All Textcoach® Coaches are independently licensed and experienced clinicians with special training to provide technology-driven care and help you resolve issues.

The TextCoach service is very good and very helpful in non emergencies. However, the app itself is so poor that once you login literally can’t do anything.

I have an account but for some reason the app won’t log me back in. It won’t even give me the option to log back in. The main screen when I open the app is to register for an account and there’s no way around it. I guess I’ll never know what my counselor has to say about the issues I’m dealing with.

I laid out what was going on in text. I noticed immediately the iPhone version screen covered the log in selection. No matter what I do, I can’t see what the councilor sent cause I can’t log in. Glad I don’t have an emergency. Geez.

I decided to give this a try during a pretty difficult time in my life. I’m so glad I did! The app is super easy to use. I can text my coach whenever I want, and she responds back the same day with advice and support. I even learned how to start meditating. Never thought I’d do that, LOL!  I tried counseling in the past, but couldn’t stick with it because it’s too hard to make time for appointments. This just works better for me.

I had high hopes in trying this at first. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Took longer than 24 hours to get my first response. I felt like I laid out what some of my issues were, and instead of a more personalized approach, and asking some questions, my counselor sent me the articles that were available for similar issues on their website. I really didn’t know how to respond to such generic advice that I didn’t respond for a few days. She messaged back asking if I had any questions. I eventually responded, and told her that from the article she sent me, it says I should just see someone face to face. Rather than offer any help in determining if that’s right for my scenario she basically told me good luck, and come back if I need her.
