We’ve been using text magic for our business for a couple of years, in the last couple of months there have been couple of moments where the app does not work and message are not being sent, it shows that it was sent but in reality it was not. The first time this happen I called about 5 times to see what’s going on and they said they were going to call me back, of course they never did. Second time happen two days ago, same problem. There is absolutely no one on customer service handling the app, they say all the technical support team is currently full but that’s a big fat lie. I wish that I never got involved with this app and unfortunately I can’t export the data neither so it’s going to require a lot of work to transition to a new one. In conclusion and if you are reading this, I would not recommend this app at all, very disturbing experience and quite frankly the owners should just close this if they are not involved in the business whatsoever ### 1/5 — Trash *2022-11-30, version 6.8.6* Terrible customer support ### 1/5 — Dead app, no support *2022-11-10* I thought I already left a review- had a client pick text magic a couple years ago. The app and desktop are set up ok but there is no longer customer support. This app reappears your have been abandoned by the developers. I’ve sent several emails asking for bare minimum support and have received no responses. It’s probably been years since there’s been any signs of a human involved. They don’t even have an AI bot for support- it’s literally nothing at all. ### 2/5 — Worked great before but *2022-11-08* Was working great previously but now random messages are not been deleted and I use for a company so it’s causing a lot of issues ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2022-09-03* TM sent me a report saying I had 17 replies to the 1000 SMS I sent out, but on the app I only had access to eight of those replies. How do you run a business unless you have access to those who respond? Very disappointed, wasted money. Closed my account and I want a refund for the money I wasted on your services. ### 3/5 — Landscape and signature block *2021-12-02* The ability to use this app in landscape mode is huge. Obviously this originally for a smart phone. I’d love the ability to have a signature block and other templates. Chuck… **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Initially, the app was designed for a smartphone, that is why it cannot be used in a landscape mode. I have added this feature to the idealist, and we may start supporting it in the future. ### 1/5 — Illegal account withdrawals *2021-05-24* I used these guys a few months ago and the service is good and easy to use. A few days ago they debited my account for a “top up” without my permission. I haven’t used them in over 6 months and haven’t logged in after the initial use. There is no reason to top up my account without my authorization. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We may top-up the account automatically, only if the auto-recharge was earlier enabled manually by the account holder. If you are not planning to use the service, please email support@textmagic.com and request a refund. ### 3/5 — Good App, but NEEDS a landscape option for iPAD *2020-06-13* This is a great app; however, if you have an iPad and use an external keyboard with it you cannot view this app in landscape- making it unusable with your external keyboard set up as you can only have it in portrait. if they fix this option I will come back and adjust my review. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. I have added this feature to the idealist, and we may start supporting it in the future. ### 1/5 — Failed at the first hurdle *2020-05-22, version 6.1* The app wouldn’t accept either my Microsoft or Google logins, so even though I’ve heard good things, I couldn’t use it. Frustrating. ### 3/5 — This is mainly a web application *2020-05-08* App has many great features but will only if you are willing to work on your desktop. If all you want is another app on your phone then it’s sweet. If you want to send mass messages to people individually, this app isn’t for you. ### 1/5 — Server off *2025-06-05, version 7.3.22* This needs to be working 100% of the time, it’s no good if the server is off for hours. Today, No way to login, and the app doesn’t work. Not good enough. ### 1/5 — Message not being sent *2025-03-19* This app is not letting me send messages at all ### 1/5 — Customer support is worse than the service itself *2023-09-19, version 7.2.1* Having a range of issues with Text Magic, SMS messages not being delivered, messages come through multiple times etc. Any contact with customer support will tell you that it’s just a device related issues and the evidence required to support any investigation is unreasonable. It’s a shame because the layout and idea of the product is awesome. I would strongly advise to look for a different service ### 1/5 — Started extra for sender Id !! . This is bad *2023-06-29, version 6.8.6* they started 10/months just for sender id. This doesn’t make sense. ### 1/5 — Completely Unreliable *2023-05-30* I can’t even count how many times my confirmation texts have not been sent out. The first few times it happened someone from their customer service got back to me/credited my account, but no one responds now. Small businesses…don’t use this app. ### 1/5 — Scandalous price increases *2023-04-20, version 6.8.6* Just about to delete the app. This morning I received an email from TM and they have stated they are going to start charging for features that were free. This would cost me hundreds of pounds a year extra and I am a really small company. I will be deleting my account straight away and finding an alternative. Avoid TextMagic as they love to twist the knife when inflation is already ridiculously high. ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE THIS APP *2022-12-26* I found out about this app from a friend. I sent out mass messages and it worked the first time but there after not only does is not send the messages but it’ll say that it’s been sent and deducts money from the account. I sent myself a text and the app says sent but I’ve never gottten any text. DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE PLEASE!!! Takes a lot friction out of processes. Scheduling and templates for sms messaging super easy. Only draw back is lack of image capacity which means i have to use WhatsApp as a back up. ### 5/5 — Game changer, honestly amazing *2025-07-08, version 7.3.25* I never write reviews. I can never be bothered however this app got me out of a lot of strife. I was using clicksend before for my mass sms marketing. Got my number blacklisted, had no good chat feature, had no call forwarding on their virtual numbers. This app literally does everything I want it to do. It’s been so refined. It’s literally goated. With the help of this app we are able to connect with clients in a fast paced environment. Our program requires an ability to send updates, links, and chat with clients at a moments notice.
