### 3/5 — Expired top up

*2026-08-31, version 3.18.0*

There isn’t much information regarding what happens to expired top ups on the app. I have let them expire a couple of times and have never received funds back to the account. If they are just being taken, 3 days is far too short of an expiry date

### 4/5 — Mostly accurate; mostly.

*2026-08-29, version 3.18.0*

Great for getting around on the buses in London.

### 3/5 — Improve the disruption information

*2026-08-27, version 3.18.0*

Why not provide more information on the disruption? For example a huge part of the network is closed today but there is no information as to why. Also closure between Earls Court and Acton Town: I have no idea what that means. You need to show it to people so they can see if they are on the part that is affected. Or why not just list the closed stations on the line in question so people can see if their stations are affected without having to do The Knowledge beforehand.

### 3/5 — Lacking platform & rail info

*2026-08-24, version 3.17.2*

Great for buses (yay bus-only mode!), but for overground, trains & underground it doesn’t tell you which platform to go to, has no live arrivals board for trains or even the tube unlike for buses, etc. Also, it should allow for longer walks to/from stations, sometimes it suggests getting the bus when it’d be faster to walk… maybe I walk fast

### 3/5 — Useful but…

*2026-08-23, version 3.17.2*

Why does the app keep logging me out? It is infuriating. Also why is Payments hidden/buried deep in the app???

### 4/5 — Improved immensely

*2026-08-20, version 3.17.2*

When I first started using this a couple of years ago it was terrible, absolute garbage, but it has improved immensely so it’s now usable… not perfect but way better

My original 1 star review below: Frustrating to use, inaccurate. Stick with citimapper, at least it’s useful

### 2/5 — Frustrated…

*2026-08-15, version 3.17.0*

Keep signing out of app

### 4/5 — TFL Go - no key

*2026-08-14, version 3.17.0*

It would be handy, especially for non- Londoners for there to be a Legend/Key on the underground map like there used to be on the paper versions.

### 3/5 — I

*2026-08-08, version 3.16.0*

I’m sure I’llu rI ok u

### 2/5 — Footscray Road

*2026-08-04, version 3.16.0*

Why don’t all of the buses display their arrival times on the App?

### 2/5 — decent, but lacking essential information

*2026-07-28, version 3.15.0*

The app works well enough, but crucially lacks zones on the map, and a night tube map - both essential things shown on a regular leaflet map!

### 1/5 — Can’t access while in UK on US cellular plan

*2026-07-25, version 3.15.0*

Even though the app can access my location in the UK it says I’m not in the UK because I’m on a US cellular plan so your IP traffic still originates from the US. This is a super stupid limitation.

### 1/5 — Useless in UK

*2026-07-24, version 3.15.0*

Geo restrictions prevent reloading my kids oyster card unless I’m physically located inside the UK even though they are there currently. Wouldn’t want anyone doing that because of “security” apparently…

### 4/5 — important timing

*2026-07-22, version 3.15.0*

Monday the 114 bus your app said 17 mins . As a disabled person I sat in my car . No seats or covert in Kenton lane . 3mins later the bus came . Looked back at the app
It had gone back to the 17mins and it happy again so I did not trust it any more and crossed over to the bus stop but ended waiting 15 minutes in considerable pain.

### 4/5 — Helpful

*2026-07-19, version 3.15.0*

Found the TfL Go app really useful and have had no problems with it. Useful bus and train updates as well as easy to use.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — not practical, does not work well

*2026-08-26*

### 1/5 — Inaccurate information

*2026-08-24, version 3.17.2*

The status updates provided on this app are generally incorrect, inconsistent, inadequate and out of date the, your customers can rely on the information to make decisions.
TFL communications when service is running are generally just repeating the some information over and over again. When there’s any issue there’s either no information or the information is inconsistent or of not help to customers

### 1/5 — Payments.

*2026-08-23, version 3.17.2*

Added two top up payments recently and does not show on card.
Have to check with bank now to find out if transactions have been made.
More time wasted.

### 1/5 — App is useless for visitors

*2026-08-18, version 3.17.2*

App is useless. Cannot add visitor oyster card. Could not log in with existing TFL account used to buy the oyster card. Could not access TFL website from a mobile phone WHILE IN LONDON and NOT on a vpn to create a new TFL account. Finally had to turn on VPN and pretend to be in PARIS to create a new TFL account and log into the app, and then it would not let me add the oyster card even though a visitor oyster card is NOT one of the types listed as “you cannot use these types with the app.”

### 1/5 — The updates are not live

*2026-08-15, version 3.17.0*

Despite what this app promises the real life status of the TFL network is not shown on this app. The information about service is often untrue and does not reflect the actual disruptions. Not sure how this app got such high ranking

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-08-14, version 3.17.0*

The old app was easier to use and gave you more options. This app takes the longer routes

### 1/5 — Unbefriedigend

*2026-08-12*

Einige Stationen fehlen, z.B. auf der Strecke Elisabeth Line, von Liverpool Str. in Richtung Flughafen LHR, die also von nicht einheimischen Reisenden viel befahren wird, was zu Irritationen führen kann.
Das ist No Go!!

### 1/5 — VPN

*2026-08-05, version 3.16.0*

Won’t work with VPN set to uk server while being in the uk?!

### 1/5 — Bad service

*2026-07-29, version 3.15.0*

They charge me 10 pound 80 pence i tap 3 places and 4th aswell but because of the tap machine fault on dlr station it didnt go through so they charge me double triple still didnt got my refund

### 1/5 — Dreadful app that doesn't know it's own times

*2026-07-27, version 3.15.0*

Not a good app. The times of train bare no relationship to what is actually happening on the line. How have TfL made such a woefully inadequate app

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-08-30, version 3.18.0*

Peak app with accurate bus times

### 5/5 — 407

*2026-08-07, version 3.16.0*

407 is the best bus

### 5/5 — Brilliant app

*2026-08-02, version 3.16.0*

Easy app to use has been very useful

### 5/5 — Comprehensive and easy to use

*2026-07-30, version 3.16.0*

Well used app on my phone used to plan journeys using bus tube train and feet. Really useful and so far pretty accurate

### 5/5 — Amazing app! Nicely Done TFL!

*2026-07-25, version 3.15.0*

The title is sufficient for this review.

### 5/5 — London Transport

*2026-07-16, version 3.14.0*

The best in the world ❤️

### 5/5 — TfL go

*2026-07-12, version 3.14.0*

Great app easy to use

### 5/5 — Include National Rail and Tube

*2026-07-11, version 3.14.0*

TfL go would be better if they included national rail and tube services in London

### 5/5 — Complain & Praise

*2026-07-10, version 3.14.0*

when we encounter bad things on the bus (such as dangerous driving, being late, or impolite service staff). Having to go to the website to find a complaint page or call the Call Centre is quite complicated and time-consuming. If there is a button or feature for Complain and raise in the TfL (Transport for London) app directly, it will help to send the case quickly and follow up much easier.

### 5/5 — Adding Oyster to wallet

*2026-07-08, version 3.14.0*

Works great and loving it , would better if it could be used on wallet…
