One of my most used features now just gives you the same as Google maps ### 1/5 — This new app is useless *2026-06-11, version 1.0.11* Have not been able to use it as it won’t take my payment. I’ve had to keep using the old app to make sure I get the bus on time. Please sort this issue as I’m sure the old app won’t be available for much longer and I’m sure I won’t be the only one to suffer when we are late due to not knowing bus times! Then i contacted Swift about this issue and haven’t got back to me at all. The reviews of the this app says it all, this app is terrible! ### 1/5 — Since update it’s unusable *2026-05-27, version 1.0.11* Before it was easy to just top up and go but now everytime i go to accounts or topping up my swift card all i get is 403 error ### 1/5 — Rubbish App *2026-05-22, version 1.0.11* This new so called improved app is poor ! You can’t edit the names of the stops anymore or move your favourites into a specific order of use required. Some stops have the same name & causes confusion when trying to find the right direction required ! Previously this could be edited so you would know which stop is which ! Also the live times are hit & miss ! Sometimes working & a lot of the time saying no live departures available. Please go back to the old version. ### 1/5 — Would give zero star if I could *2026-05-21, version 1.0.11* After a few days using it, it’s turned out even worse than I thought. Not only is there no journey planning feature, the whole app is so buggy you can be forgiven thinking it’s the product of college students vibe coding. When you open the app it always defaults to a view of bus stops only rather than saving the settings it was last in, and it always says no nearby stops found until you move your view to the city centre then back to where you are. When you save a train station as favourite, it only shows you the first train to leave that station regardless of where it goes, now tell me how useful that would be for new street? To put cherry on top the account and ticket tabs are just wrappers for the website and they didn’t even bother doing a proper web app and from the user’s perspective nothing has changed for the better, not more features, not more flexible ticketing, just a slightly improved UI over what is still essentially the same system, that costed taxpayers millions to be entirely rewritten. I can only hope there were some underlying changes that will become more obvious as time moves on. As it stands the only actual useful features of the app are the real time bus tracker and the swift collector. This looks better than the old app granted, and the bus tracker is easier to use when you can see multiple bus stops and routes at the same time, but nothing is added and it actually has less features than the old app which is unbelievable. To think this costed taxpayers millions? It beggars belief actually, you could have bought a white label solution for an entire regional public transport management system for that amount of money. Seriously, where has the money gone? I really think this needs to be audited for value for money. ### 1/5 — Can’t reset password *2026-05-19, version 1.0.11* I have been trying for days to reset my password and it’s not working . The app says the reset has gone through but I check my email and nothing. Live tracker doesn’t work, who are these developers??? ### 1/5 — Can’t log into my account *2026-08-16, version 1.0.11* I have tried numerous times to log into my account and it keeps coming up with 403 forbidden gateway ### 1/5 — Awful App *2026-08-12, version 1.0.11* This app is awful to use. The old app works so much better. Why take an app that works well and replace it with something worse!! Not all bus stops show when looking on a map. A lot of buses showing no buses due yet the old app is showing buses when looking at the same time. Yet again everything defaults to Birmingham. Why not allow users to choose a default city?? Unable to rename favourite stops to make it easier to know which stop is which. Unable to change to order you view favourites - the newest is at the top. I could go on but this would be really long. I shall keep using the old app and then find something else if it stops working. ### 1/5 — Much worse than previous app *2026-08-11, version 1.0.11* This app has a very limited use compared to the previous one. I can tap on a bus stop to see which buses stop there. I cannot then tap on the bus number to show the route or any timetable information. It doesn’t show maps to show interchanges. Having lost a useful route from my area, I am trying to search locally to see how best to use the network. What I can view is very limited, and indicates that unless I can walk a mile uphill, I can no longer get to any useful bus route for my daily commute. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for me! *2026-07-02, version 1.0.11* No live departures, the features are not as good as before, appreciate its new so there are teething problems but the older version was so easy to understand ### 1/5 — Stops disappear when you zoom in *2026-07-01, version 1.0.11* It’s impossible to see which direction the buses are heading. The app now prompts users to reset their password but never sends the reset link, leaving them completely unable to access either the app or the website, as both have the same issue. This is a critical problem, especially considering how many people rely on the service for their daily travel. Please address and fix this as a matter of urgency. Very disappointing. I had trouble knowing which stop is which. Could you bring the custom stop naming from the old app? ### 3/5 — Could be improved *2026-06-01, version 1.0.11* While the app looks new. RTI information doesn’t seem to work. I’ve closed the app, deleted the app and rebooted my phone then reinstalled the app but nothing changes. Even the favourite stops are still there with no RTI information. Additional note: After working with a bus station supervisor we have determined it takes a while for the information to load. Approximately 1-2 minutes after the app is open ### 3/5 — X *2026-05-11, version 1.0.11* This app is so mutch easier than the other one with this one you can just move about on the screen to an area and it will tell you instead of having to press a specific bus stop it tells you all near they ### 2/5 — Poor customer journey *2026-06-05, version 1.0.11* This feels very clunky to use as though it’s not been end to end tested with people who actually use the app. I’ve had to log in 4 times to register and buy a ticket but then can’t because I’m waiting for a physical card to be produced. Surely the “card” exists within the app?! Although I only need to buy an n-bus ticket because my journey covers two providers so capping doesn’t work (itself madness in a supposedly integrated transport system!) ### 2/5 — Why remove functionality? *2026-05-21, version 1.0.11* Just to reiterate the criticisms so far around functionality that has been removed. Could do with the ability to rename and reorder favourites being reinstated. Where is the journey planner? Don’t particularly mind the app opening on the map where you are, but a quarter of the screen being taken up by a prompt to go to the city centre is just annoying and cannot be removed completely. If I want to go to a different location I will put the postcode or name in the search bar and go there. ### 2/5 — Can’t view purchased tickets *2026-05-20, version 1.0.11* I used to be able to view purchased tickets so I can simply purchase again knowing I’m getting the same one and could view when it’s expiring so I know when to get my next ticket, but I can’t seem to see any of that so not only can I not easily find out when to get my next ticket for, I have to manually search up the type of ticket I want which makes things longer and inconvenient ### 2/5 — This is a downgrade *2026-05-19, version 1.0.11* Really disappointed that the new app does not allow you to rename and manually sort favourites - as the old app did. Makes the app much less user friendly and is a real disadvantage. I don’t understand why you would disable this feature. Please put it back. ### 2/5 — Barely an update *2026-05-19, version 1.0.11* It’s still an ugly UI and buggy mess, my local stop disappears as soon as you zoom in. Most annoyingly the arrows that point the direction of the buses have gone which makes it slower to work out which stop you’re at. Don’t get me wrong, there are some much needed improvements were done, the overall experience works a bit better and it seems smoother, but for the most part it’s a downgrade. ### 2/5 — Made it harder to navigate *2026-05-14, version 1.0.11* Really wish I could still name my favourite stops. I struggle with directional awareness and street names, being able to name those stops myself was an accessibility feature.
