When using biometrics, I get this weird screen showing “Okta” Fix your garbage app - it’s atrocious that our future careers depend on software like this. ### 1/5 — Barely functional *2025-08-13* Tabs don’t work. There are a thousand paper cuts with this app. It’s 2024, there is no reason this app should be so terrible. You can do better. ### 1/5 — Glitchy and non functioning *2024-10-23* For an app designed to help schedule residency interviews, there is little thought into functionality. When we get the alert that we got an interview, we have minutes to get it scheduled for an optimal date. This app crashes frequently and is not easy to navigate. I’ve almost lost out on interviews when I wasn’t near my computer. Now I just either stay home or give a trusted friend my login to schedule if I’m unable to. Do better. ### 1/5 — Horrendous *2024-10-18, version 6.1.0* Crashes all the time. The keep me logged in feature doesn’t work. The biometric login feature doesn’t work. Limited settings menu. Have to delete and re install so it hopefully works and lets you log in ### 1/5 — Won’t even open *2025-12-18* My Apple Thalamus app won’t even open and it’s during the peak of residency interview season. Now I have to long on with my laptop every time I want to look at the my schedule because it won’t open on my iPhone in safari (it requires the app which won’t work). ### 1/5 — Rarely works *2025-11-21* Continuously logs out, sometimes won’t even let you log in if there have been any recent changes. I tried many times but it just wouldn’t open. ### 1/5 — Why ERAS *2025-11-05, version 701.0.2* This is the glitchiest app for 3 simple reasons 1) It is impossibly difficult to login and stay logged in - screws with trying to quickly schedule interviews. 2) Who in their right minds thought the UI was anywhere near acceptable - absolutely nobody wants to scroll through every single option, or have to go back and manually decide which you want to see for the split second 3) Why would you put “schedule” as an option, and not put in WHAT YOU HAVE LITERALLY SCHEDULED ### 1/5 — Absolutely Useless *2025-10-30* This is my second application season attempting to use this app, and I’m extremely disappointed to see that NONE of the problems have been addressed this year. I still can’t see which applicant I am interviewing with during a time block, I can’t see any aspect of their application and I can’t even join the meeting from the link on the app. ### 1/5 — Unusable App *2025-10-29* Log in screen will not load and instead shows blank screen. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling which did not work. Doesn’t work with or without wifi. Closing and reopening app made no difference whatsoever. More intuitive than the desktop version. I was able to sort my actual interviews vs open interview slots, which I have not figured out how to do on the desktop. I haven’t actually tried to schedule an interview through the app but will update if I do. ### 5/5 — Makes interviewing easier *2016-10-29, version 1.2* Easy to use. Can sign up immediately after receiving email. Can see calendar of all dates. Sign up for the wait list. Be notified right away if a date opens up. And get a confirmation immediately. Much much better than trying to call a program (good luck if its they're in another time zone), worry if someone else called before you, and sound polite while bringing up your own calendar so you don't double schedule. Much appreciated! ### 5/5 — Why did no one think of this earlier? *2016-10-04* This is a great, easy to use interface for residency interview scheduling and management. My only complaint is that not every program has converted over yet! ### 4/5 — Solid app *2020-10-28* Pretty decent app. Does what it’s meant to do. You get notifications even before the invitation is in your email. Easy interface to schedule and keep track of your interviews. ### 3/5 — Missing feature *2025-12-15* I’m a faculty member. If the website won’t work on a phone (with users directed to the app), make sure the app has the functionality you’re not letting me use in a browser. To wit, reading the applicant’s application materials is the essential feature for an applicant tracking system. #FAIL ### 3/5 — Missing video conferences *2021-11-15, version 5.4.2* In the app it turns out that the video conferences only show those that run through Thalamus itself and not any that may be scheduled using a third party program such as Zoom or WebEx.
