## What is THANKS Map?

THANKS Map is a map for recording the goodwill you meet in your town, right where it happened.

What you can do
- Mark a thank-you: leave a few words at the spot where someone returned the pass you dropped
- Lost and found: quietly let others know what you lost, or what you picked up
- Looking out for each other: "there is a step here, please take care" as concern, never as blame
- Signposts for travellers: tell people passing through what a place can offer them
- Postcards: turn the words you left into an image and share it

What this app does not have
- No scores, no stars, no rankings, no negative reviews. A thank-you either exists, or it does not
- We will never build a way to put a shop or a person down

How location is used (written precisely)
- The location of a record you leave is stored and made public, so that it can appear on the map
- Your device's current position is used only to check that you were there. That value itself is not stored
- Your account ID is never shown on public screens
- You can write anything in the text, so we ask you not to write personal information

Photos now have two ways to post:
- Post a photo - it stays until you delete it.
- A photo that burns out in 24 hours - as before.

The map and the posting sheet were rebuilt to feel smoother, and the way in to posting is larger and easier to reach.
Added multi-language display, including English.
Various small fixes.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-01

Fixed a bug where marking a thank-you could stop working after the app had been open for a long time. Location handling was reworked as well, so you are less likely to be turned away when you really are standing there.
