There weren’t any typos or anything and that’s not the first time either. This has happened so many times, at least 1 out of 5 questions. It seems like any questions that has answers before 2000 are always wrong, like whoever responsible for fact checking the answers just gave up when they got to the year 2000 and didn’t look further back. ### 3/5 — It’s good, but… *2025-09-27, version 2.0.0* This “new” trivia game is good, but I don’t understand why they didn’t just make a new app instead of using the old scategories app. Especially when the reviews of that old game weren’t all too positive. The name and look completely. I wonder if the app got int copy right issue with the board game. Can someone answer this? The problem is it has bad glitches occasionally. I’ve had it glitch where half of the words just don’t appear and I had to end up deleting the app to get it to work. Other than that it’s great! Like I just did one and it was flowers. Letter j. I wrote jonquil. Correct word, correct spelling. It flagged it as dispute. It flags words all the time that I spelled correctly but it changes the spelling. Repetitive Categories *2024-10-08, version 1.8.2* I like the shorter time and fewer prompts (basically they’re half games) but they get very repetitive if you play for more than 15 mins. ### 3/5 — fun but frustratingly buggy *2024-10-06, version 1.8.2* i love scattergories, this app version is so-so. while the gameplay is fun enough and seeing other players advance adds an element of pressure that would typically be supplied by the timer in the physical version of the game, the bugs take all that away. it seems that with every challenge i start, it’s a 50/50 shot that the round will take my coins but then load indefinitely before getting to the results screen. i can take it if i lose, but the indefinite loading means i never get to see how i stack up, and i lose the coins nonetheless. if you can’t build a game that lets you get to see the results and be rewarded, at least make it so you can get your coins back for an incomplete game. like all apps of this type, it relies on giving us that dopamine boost when we win to get us addicted. so this bug not only ruins the fun of the competition, but also breaks the very way this game gets you to play. ### 4/5 — Great game, a little buggy sometimes *2024-09-29, version 1.8.2* Super addicting and fun game. The AI behind the scoring can be a little glitchy at times, which sometimes affects the scores and sometimes doesn’t. For example, I gave the answer “island parrot” once, trying to be creative. It changed my answer to “the correct spelling for this answer is I-S-L-A-N-D P-A-R-R-O-T” but it still gave me points. And sometimes answers that should cancel each other out don’t do so because someone put an s at the end or something similar. Maybe a one time payment of $10 but $2 a week is ridiculously expensive for an educational leisure game. I can buy and play the real game for less money with a better scoring system. Plus there is no dice roll simulation they just give you a number. But one thing that made me delete thisapp for the2nd time is that you can just make up answers and they will be accepted. For example, I cannot name any recording labels, so I just make them up and they are always accepted and sometimes deemed rare. Of course they are, because I made them up! Thumbs up for giving me undeserved credit, but the downside is my opponent is doing the same thing. ### 3/5 — Used to be good *2024-08-20, version 1.8.2* This app used to be good, but recently it doesn’t work properly. There’s no rhyme or reason to it. Also the layout of the game is just bad, an off-putting design that does not make me want to stick around and play. They aren’t categories that can be answered either. “Island hotspots”?
