## What is That's Stronk?

A workout doesn't have to be a job, a personality, or a contest. When you were a kid, it was just fun: you saw a log in the woods and wondered if you could lift it, grabbed the dog and went for a hike, or raced to the park.

That's what STRONK is built on. It doesn't care whether you lift 100 pounds or 1,000; walk a mile or ruck a marathon. You showed up, probably had fun, and hopefully did something worth telling your friends about. That's it.

$4.99. ONCE.
The going rate for a ruck tracker is $4.99 a month. This is $4.99, one time. Not a month. Not a year. Not ever again. Try everything free for 14 days; if you're in, it's one small payment, shareable with your family, yours forever. That's not a launch price. That's the point.

(The tools underneath are real, though. Aggressively real.)

LIFT
Log sets fast, from your phone or your wrist, in type you can read from the bench without your glasses. Your last session sits next to this one, so you always know what you're trying to beat. No judgment when you don't. Supersets, because your time matters. Rest timers set to YOUR rest — 30 seconds or 5 minutes. STRONK doesn't lecture.

RUCK
Your other app calls a 35-lb ruck a walk. STRONK counts your body weight PLUS the weight on your back — and the formula is written out in plain English inside the app, so you can check our work. GPS routes, per-mile splits, elevation and heart rate, incline-aware treadmill rucks, and the weather you suffered through, on the record ("SWAMP MODE" is a real designation, earned).

RUCK BUDDIES
Tag which dogs came along (you know they're coming). They carried nothing. They get full credit anyway — name, photo, and all, right on the summary. Their pictures never leave your phone.

RECEIPTS
Every workout ends in a stat worth sharing: "1.5 WOOLLY MAMMOTHS." "741 CORGIS." "6.7 OSCAR STATUETTES, CARRIED A MILE." Lifetime totals that only go up. A calendar with no streaks and no guilt — just proof you showed up. History logs every exercise, set, rep, and mile (or kilometer) for posterity.

NOTHING GETS LOST
A finished workout is finished. It survives force-quits, dead batteries, and fat fingers. A save that fails says so instead of shrugging. The number on your wrist is the number in your history. Losing a session you actually did is the worst thing a tracker can do to you, and we build like we believe that.

WHAT STRONK WILL NEVER DO
No subscriptions. No ads. No streaks. No pep talks. No sweaty models. No fire emojis.

APPLE STUFF, DONE PROPERLY
Full Apple Watch app. Live Activities. HealthKit in and out — workouts, calories, routes, heart rate. Weather via WeatherKit. Photos picked privately, stored on-device. VoiceOver throughout. No account. No tracking. Your data is yours.

And if you find the beta toggle in Settings... that's DASH. Race ya to the mailbox.

Built in Minnesota by one guy, his wife, and two supervisory dogs. The feedback email is in Settings — it goes to an actual human, and fixes ship faster than you'd think.

### 5/5 — THIS IS STRONK

*2026-05-10*

This app is where it’s at. I used to struggle with weight lifting for the past few years, but this app improved my lifting experience. I’m now lifting more corgis than ever before. IFYKYK.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review purplebear! Glad you're enjoying the app! We tried to build something that's actually useful in the gym... and also makes me smile! Go lift some more Corgis! :D

### 5/5 — Just the Facts Plus a Bit of Fun

*2026-05-06*

The simplicity is the beauty of this app. It’s easy to set up your different routines. Then just a few taps and clicks during workouts to track weight and reps. I used to skip tracking because it was so cumbersome to log in my notes. Other apps are subscription based and have so many features, bells and whistles that I don’t want and don’t need. This is just so easy and quick to use during my workouts. Also love that i can actually read it without my readers!

### 5/5 — The basics done well!

*2026-05-02*

So easy to log my workouts without all the gimmicks, gamification, endless micro transactions and social nonsense. Refreshing throwback to a time when apps just did what they advertised!

### 5/5 — All I need!

*2026-04-27*

App that does what it says. Logs my workout easily. Bonus points for not being full of menus and spreadsheets, and for not hassling me to subscribe to stuff I don’t want.

Oh. And lifted 8 F1 Race cars this morning. That felt cool. 😂

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8.2 — 2026-08-23

Every screen got the same haircut. One type scale, one temperature, sharper corners. Numbers now set in their own face — your splits finally line up.

Fixed:
• Text Size no longer snaps big numbers in half at the top end.
• Metric users see metric on the live ruck screen. It's been quietly showing you feet this whole time. Sorry.
• DASH shuts GPS off when you walk away from it. It should never have needed telling.
• An unfinished dash now asks what you want to do instead of pretending it's still running.
• You can stop a dash yourself, instead of waiting for the finish line to agree with you.

### 1.8.1 — 2026-08-07

Mostly small fixes and a nicer receipt.

RUCK RECEIPTS got the polish they deserved — the THAT'S STRONK stamp
where a generic checkmark used to be, stats that don't hide behind
the DONE button, and a supervisor's note that reads like a stamp on
the record instead of shouting over it.

CSV EXPORT includes dashes (still in beta... but it's there!).

And if you've found the DASH beta in Settings: dashes now count in
Apple Health — rings, route, heart rate from your wrist, plus steps
and cadence on the receipt. Your course gets named properly, the map
and elevation chart came along, and the Watch behaves itself.

### 1.8.0 — 2026-07-27

NEW IN 1.8.0

DASH (BETA) — The third pillar. Sprint tracking for the kid who raced
to the poolhouse: lay a real course by running it once, name it, race
it forever. Records in both directions (the run back is a different
beast — we know). The clock stops itself at the finish line. It's a
beta and it's honest about it: flip it on in Settings and we'll
explain everything, including what the Watch can't do yet.
Race ya to the mailbox.

ARCHIVE — No more zombie routines. Retire the ones you're done with;
they keep every receipt and come back whenever they're fun again.

RUCK RECEIPTS — Your suffering, immortalized. HOTTEST, SWAMPIEST, and
COLDEST now live in your lifetime stats. SWAMP MODE remains earned,
never given.

Also: clearer calorie labels on ruck summaries (the math was always
right — the label lied), a one-time "what's new" card at the door
(shows once, then leaves — an announcement, not a roommate), and the
usual pile of small fixes.

### 1.7.3 — 2026-07-14

THE LISTENING UPDATE.

Three fixes, all field-reported by real ruckers (thank you — you know who you are):

WATCH BUTTONS YOU CAN ACTUALLY REACH — On smaller Apple Watches, PAUSE and FINISH RUCK could hide below the edge of the screen, leaving you mid-ruck forever (spiritually). They're now pinned to the bottom of the display on every watch size. No scrolling, no secret gestures, no eternal ruck.

YOUR RUCKS EARN THEIR FULL CALORIES NOW — Ruck workouts were reporting Active calories only, so Apple Health showed Total = Active, which undersold your effort. Rucks now include resting energy for the workout window — same as our lifts always have, same as Apple's own workouts. Your numbers were never wrong; they were just shy.

THE NUMBER YOU'RE TRYING TO BEAT IS READABLE — Last session's sets in the mid-workout box score were too dim, especially on the highlighted current set. Brightened properly. If you're going to chase a number, you should be able to see it from arm's length with sweat in your eyes.

Still no streaks. Still no subscription. Still fixing things when you tell us.

### 1.7.2 — 2026-07-13

THE SWEAT-PROOFING UPDATE.

We hired an outside firm to audit every screen. Then we did something unusual with the findings: we fixed them.

BIGGER BUTTONS — Every tap target in the app now meets the sweaty-thumb standard. Mid-set, mid-ruck, worst motor control of your day — the buttons will be there.

FINISH RUCK NOW ASKS FIRST — Ninety minutes of rucking can no longer be ended by your own thigh. A pocket-tap gets a confirmation. Your quads have suffered enough betrayal.

NOTHING FAILS SILENTLY ANYMORE — On the rare bad day, if a save doesn't stick, STRONK tells you and offers a retry instead of quietly shrugging. Your receipts are the whole point. We guard them like it.

SETTINGS GOT TIDIED — Fewer sections, better homes. Half-Rep Logging now lives with the Apple Watch settings, where it always belonged. Also we finally removed the "BETA" badge from the Watch features (they earned it) and stopped calling the app "Alpha" in the version footer (it hasn't been for a year — that one's on us).

No streaks. No subscription. No wasted taps.
