### 4/5 — This is amazing but too short:(

*2024-07-09*

This game was genuinely great and I actually had fun reading and imagining things for the first time in over a decade however I must say I feel it ended very abruptly and felt a little short there was also many things that didn’t really get used much such as the race strength or the race population it was still really cool to see it fluctuate throughout the story but towards the end of the game (SPOILERS) it feels almost as if your choices do not matter too much e.g you have to stop two gods from fighting and you can choose who to banish but if I banish the one starting with n (I can’t remember his name) nothing really happens besides a comment he makes it is never brought up again and it is treated almost as if it never happened. I think that if there was a part two (I would 100% buy it) the choices made in the first game really change the course of the second part e.g if you killed off ur mortals then obviously you have no mortals anymore but if you let them live and taught them space travel they grant you power or anger other gods because they took over their mortals or something. In other words the story was amazing but cut off too early and needs a sequel.

### 4/5 — Love it so much

*2020-07-12*

Great game but I wish that the god that you play as could have Demi god children or god children with the other court gods. But I would also like the game to be extended a bit more

### 4/5 — A great game but too short

*2020-06-21*

I love this game, Iv’e always wanted to experience being a god with my own planet and enemies and other gods to interact with. But the game is waaaaaayy to short. If the games events were random, maybe be allowed to continue after you finish the game. Im not sure but if it was more playable I would for sure reccomend it and give it 5 stars

### 4/5 — Great Game Needs Work

*2020-01-22*

First of all the story is way too short just playing through it the first time a game like this would take me probably 7 hours. This game only took 3. Second why can’t you continue to play the game after maybe make it infinite you can play forever and make multiple planets solar systems and races and actually experience the life of a court god and continue to grow your power. Third I think if you gained power and have really high amounts maybe you could actually kill the titan rather than it killing you before you come back but other than that is is a great game and I’ve played it multiple times and spent many hours playing it but it could be expanded off of. Thank you for taking the time to read.

### 4/5 — good but some ideas

*2019-10-08, version 1.0.3*

loved the entire game, except for the court. i would love this game but only focused on you, the environment, and your people and would be great if there were more prayers to answer to.

### 5/5 — Worth It!

*2019-06-09*

This game is definitely worth the money, even though it is short. I like the feature that allows you to play it again. I hope there is a sequel.

### 5/5 — The best!

*2019-05-06*

The race i made was called the dogs.. becuz yas! And it was an amazing journey

### 5/5 — Please make a sequel!

*2019-04-06*

I loved this game! It was a pretty quick play but a lot of fun. I hope there is a second game or something similar in the future 🤗

### 5/5 — 15th time played

*2019-03-20*

Most amazing game I’ve played in years I wish there was more story after the end

### 5/5 — Needs more to the story

*2019-03-14*

All in all amazing game but I wish there was more like choosing prophets and making a holy book and your own commandments

### 5/5 — Absolutely Amazing

*2019-02-09*

Such a great game whoever created this has so much imagination and talent.

### 5/5 — It was great

*2018-12-01*

I loved it all - there was a few spelling mistakes but they didn't really take away from the story. I loved it and wish it didn't have to end. :P

### 4/5 — Great but needs a sequel

*2018-11-02*

The game is very refreshing and really interesting to play, I couldn’t stop playing!
I feel that the ending has been set up as though there may be a sequel and that would be great

### 5/5 — Orgasm

*2018-07-18*

Absolutely delightful. But these interactive books need to be longer, this one lasted a few hours. Come on. After I became a Court God, it all just finished? What happened to my planet, my people!?

### 5/5 — Beyond words

*2018-07-12*

This game is absolutely amazing. The number of ways you can go with the story is impressive considering the lackluster qualities of some text-based games I’ve played. Worth every cent, definitely a must-play. You will not be disappointed.

### 5/5 — Great story

*2018-07-01, version 1.0.3*

No words can explain how good this app was this is a must for people who like to role play

### 5/5 — Amazing Game

*2018-06-29*

This game in few short words can be described as a truly incredible and inspiring game. The fact that is a story which is shaped by the choices of the reader is very refreshing. Furthermore, the fact that no one before thought of producing a written story game where the reader is basically a divine being who creates and destroys and choose their own path. Awesome! The only improvement I would suggest is expanding the story and further building the universe of Aether. Maybe include a love interest or a nemesis.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2024-08-04, version 1.0.7*

Not worth the money spent it’s a short story game also tip for games trust the critical reviews their more truthful

### 1/5 — Really short

*2018-03-17*

This is a great little text based game. Problem is it’s ridiculously short and doesn’t have much replayability. Not worth the money.

### 2/5 — Far too short

*2018-08-04, version 1.0.3*

Like previous reviews this game is really short. It could be really good but there isn’t really enough content to merit the price tag.

### 2/5 — Poorly Written

*2018-06-17*

Whoever wrote this, while capable enough in terms of imagination, is not very smart; they should’ve teamed up with at least one traditionally intelligent person to clean up all the grammatical errors and flawed passages. Quite often during my playthrough, I would let out a sigh and consider deleting the game. Ultimately, it managed to maintain just enough interest for me to reach a disappointing ending. I would only recommend this game to someone who doesn’t think too deeply.

### 2/5 — Buggy!

*2018-01-20, version 1.0.2*

The game doesn’t do a very good job remembering a lot of the choices I had made. For that reason, I can’t recommend this game in its current state.

### 2/5 — Great potential but poor delivery.

*2018-01-15*

This game has a great premise.
But an exceptional short “campaign” with limited choices.
Needs a lot more content and polish but for £1.99 it’s 30 mins of entertainment.

### 2/5 — Almost great.

*2018-01-14, version 1.0.1*

It’s a very cool idea and even has some great moments. The one horrible thing is once this game starts getting interesting it ends. Way too short for a payed game.

### 3/5 — Dubious omnipotence

*2018-09-19*

Your race's traits never seen to affect ANYTHING. Progressives advance at the same rate as fundies. Cooperative worlds have just as much predation and conflict as violent worlds. Events remain constant no matter what prior decisions have been made. Killing gods has no real influence beyond essence boosts, which doesn't matter...

Because all your energy will be used in the final conflict, no matter how much you have, only for you to be saved by a literal deus ex machina. Appropriate in a god game, perhaps, but...

END SPOILERS

My relationship with other gods didn't matter. If I killed them or befriended them, it made no difference. Politics were essentially nonexistent. Nor were there tradeoffs: complying with Calabius's request and backstabbing him garnered essentially the same amount of essence. Ylen was too dim to realize I was lying about the demon book having made its getaway. Asos gave me the exact same amount of energy whether or not he liked my changes. I could go on. But I think I've made my point.

It's a pity, because I enjoyed the premise and want to give it more stars. I can't justify it, however.

I DO hope, however, that the author produces more games. This was a promising first effort, and it would be great to see it expanded into a more detailed game.

### 3/5 — Okay, needs work to be good

*2018-03-03*

There were quite a few spelling errors, and I felt like some choices didn’t matter enough, for example I made four legged creatures that used their mouths to manipulate objects, but the story read like they were normal humans regardless.

### 3/5 — Bug riddled and no payoff

*2018-01-16*

As a long time player of Choice Games, this one is by far the most buggy. The update fixed nothing and instead created another crash in the game. I've used Choicescript before and these crashes should have easily been caught with automated testing. Docking points heavily for that.

The second thing is that ruling a planet has no payoff in this game, it's clearly meant for a sequel hook because your race serves absolutely no purpose but to drain and give you energy. Truly disappointing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome game

*2023-12-06*

A lot of interesting choices, you should try it even once you won’t be disappointed

### 5/5 — LOVE THE GAME

*2020-09-02*

This game lets you play as a creator of a universe! Although I feel like this game should have more work. Please add on to the game or make more created games please!!!

### 5/5 — Great story

*2020-08-16*

I love the story and creating a world, it’s easy to get attached to the creatures and I would love to see an expansion to this game

### 5/5 — Great game

*2020-07-08*

I would love to see a sequel

### 5/5 — Wow

*2020-02-20, version 1.0.3*

Wow

### 5/5 — Really fun, but and okay replay ability.

*2019-12-18*

I wish it was longer. I got this game awhile ago and in order to have I have to take a few months break so I forget most of the events.

### 5/5 — Review and Suggestion

*2019-09-27*

I loved it. Absolutely. Was it short? Yes, but the quality makes up for that! It’s definitely fun to play. You should make another, but focus more on the people, please. Do anything you want-for I have no control-but make it a story of how you helped your people, whether it be a specific group or the entirety, have pagan gods be issues which damage your being, make your existence become null when you are forgotten. I’m no religious man, but I must refer you to the book of Exodus as an example. I find it to be a nice action-packed bit. If you read this, thank you.
Warm Regards, CK

### 5/5 — Chapter

*2019-09-14*

Put more in the game it’s too short make it longer

### 5/5 — DOWNLOAD IT NOW

*2019-07-22*

i love it! i would give 10 stars if i could!!
