## What is The Alleyway Testament?

On a rainy dusk, in an old back-alley bar district known as "Jakotsu Lane," a young girl is found dead. An accident—or something darker?

She was a childhood friend of Suzu, a member of the high school detective club. Tohji, the club's leader, finds in her hand a torn half of an old photograph, clutched until her final moment. And as the four club members begin to investigate, an eerie local legend rises to the surface: "the Well That Swallows Wishes."

From a single murder, the trail leads to the truth behind a disappearance sealed away twenty years ago. Through interviews, testimonies, and the photograph she left behind, you yourself piece together the culprit and the truth, side by side with the four-member detective club, in this full-fledged mystery sound novel.

七尾すずの説明にクラブ唯一の女子とあり。とすると水無瀬ことりはお茶汲みだけの部外者かと思えばことりを含む部員、以上四名となっている。ことりは男子なのか？誤植と思われるが序盤から物語に没頭できず残念。
同様の細かな気になる箇所は有るものの、ストーリーとしてはとても引き込まれるものがあります。

制作中に部員の構成を何度か変えており、水無瀬ことりは当初「中盤から加わる部外者」という設定でした。最初からの部員に改めたあとも、七尾すずの紹介文だけが古いまま残ってしまっていました。ことりは女子です。「お茶汲みだけの部外者」と読めてしまったのは、まさにその名残のせいです。いちばん大事な序盤の人物紹介でつまずかせてしまい、申し訳ありません。

ご指摘をきっかけに全24章を読み直したところ、同じ種類の食い違いが他にもいくつも見つかりました。すべて直したものを、次回のアップデートで配信します。

「ストーリーとしてはとても引き込まれる」というお言葉が、なにより励みになりました。

This update also improves character sprite presentation across all 24 chapters. We fixed scenes where a character taking part in a conversation was not shown on screen, and refined the highlight so the speaking character is always easy to identify. In scenes where dialogue continues over a full-screen illustration, the speaking characters now appear over the artwork.

失踪した人の扱い、土地や建物の権利、時効の考え方、写真の現像やネガの管理、白骨からわかること、通夜の作法。物語の中で当たり前のように出てくる事柄について、探偵たちが噛み砕いて説明する場面を各章に足しました。予備知識がなくても、なぜその事実が決定的なのかが分かるようになっています。

■ 中盤 第18章から第20章 を組み替えました
第18章を全面的に書き直し、中盤の停滞感を解消して、終盤へ向けて手がかりが積み上がっていく形にしています。

■ 終盤 第23章から第24章 を厚くしました
クライマックスの対決を、気づき、衝突、決着、そして諦めまで一続きの流れとして書き直しました。第24章では、二十年前のあの夜に何があったのかを、当事者の口から語ってもらう回想を大幅に加筆しています。

■ ある人物の描き方を見直しました
物語の要となる人物について、捜査の方向を指し示すような発言を取り除き、報告を聞く側に徹する形に改めています。真相にたどり着いたとき、その意味が変わって見えるはずです。

■ セーブの上書き確認
