I am always blown away by your impeccable storytelling, and The Ancestral Legacy is not exception; however, this game in particular has one detrimental issue that is completely ruining my experience. The ads to retrieve tickets doesn’t work. When I try to watch an ad to get the 30 tickets, I receive and error message that reads “Contents could not be loaded. [1]”. This wouldn’t be much of a problem if it only happened once or twice, but I receive this message almost every time I try to watch them. I support I have a success rate of 1/50, that is too often. I am stuck in the middle of the storyline because of this issue and I really want to love this game, but I can’t love a game I can’t play. This issue is widespread and many people are encountering this problem. If you read some more the reviews, the fact is clear. I beg of your team, I believe you can do it, to fix this issue. For the sake of the players and the game find out the cause and update the system. Thank you for reading. Final note: I will adjust my rating when the ads are fixed. I only rated it the way I did, so that it is brought to attention. I hope you understand. ### 1/5 — Everything about it is boring *2022-10-28* The artstyle is boring, the characters are boring, the spirit is boring, the storyline is boring, the start is agonisingly long and boring. This game is just down right trash, should’ve stuck with Underworld Office’s artstyle instead of going downhill ### 2/5 — Good storyline but bad quality *2025-07-27* Really… I tried to ignore the very obvious mistakes because it IS a good game, but it’s just so bad. I mean, c’mon, are we really going to act like it’s normal for these things to happen repeatedly? Consistent spelling mistakes making it seem very rushed and unprofessional, like it wasn’t even checked over properly; the way when you pick certain options, other characters will reply with sentences that don’t actually have anything to do with what Kyung said, when you’re talking to the housekeeper and you don’t say anything about the villagers being friendly, she still replies as if you were being stereotypical and assuming everyone in villages gets along; some replies don’t make sense no matter which option you pick either, like the Groundskeeper saying “I'm on my way to the police station.” And then saying “of course not.” To both options, as if he isn’t going to the police station, but he literally is. I love the game, but the drying tickets are just 😡. I’m new and I really enjoy the game, but the tickets are ruining everything. After I watched 3 ads for tickets it just stopped working. Now I’m stuck at a part filled with suspense and I’m raging because I can’t continue it. Maybe make it so you can watch more ads for tickets or/and make the choices cost like 2 tickets each, because 30 tickets only last you like 10 minutes in the game depending on how fast you play. Like the mc is so powerless throughout the whole story and it feels dragged out about the suffering. Despite liking how this game can be free, the ticketing system does require u to watch several ads to continue. I am fine with that but it’s just too frequent. For example, you will spend tickets on just dialogue choices of him talking to himself. Like that could be just the story text but we are forced to spend so many tickets on very brief and unaffecting choices.
