## What is The Aviation Historian?

Combining the permanence of a book with the diversity of a magazine, TAH is a boldly independent quarterly journal aimed at aviation’s “true believers” — anyone with a deep and abiding passion for the history of mankind’s quest to master the skies. If you want to take your interest to a new level, beyond the mainstream magazines available in the newsagents’ shops and online, TAH is for you. It will tell you things you never knew, and show you aircraft you have never seen. It will give you goosebumps; it will make you smile. It will expand your horizons and help you see the bigger picture of how flying has shaped and influenced humanity. 

Brought to you by experienced former Aeroplane magazine principals Nick Stroud and Mick Oakey, TAH uses original source material — often little-known and previously unpublished — to explore aeronautical history from its beginnings to modern jets and the birth of spaceflight. It encompasses military and civil flying, the “golden era” between the World Wars, the Cold War, and many less familiar corners of the past. 

Blending high-quality information, stunning archive photographs, uncluttered design and unrivalled graphics into a compact 132-page package four times a year, TAH is unlike any other aviation publication.

This is a free app download. Within the app users can purchase the current issue and back issues.

Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase.

-The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
-You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
-Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.
-If a subscription offers a free trial, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription. You may cancel a subscription during its free trial period via the subscription settings on your iTunes account. This must be done 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged.

Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.

We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
If your app will not load past the splash page after a first install or an update, please delete and reinstall the app from the App Store

The aviation historian is unique in the way it presents its content. It is a real aviation historians dream title and by combining this with an electronic delivery you really can have your magazine and read it! I have mostly recycled the hundreds of magazines I have had over the years never having had the time to fully read them, but with this app I can dip back into any back issue anytime, anywhere and I will ever have to through them away! I am a total convert!

This app is a very good way of obtaining one of the better if not the best aviatiob history mags around. Sometimes appears to have a problem downloading at the speed I have been accusytomed to with other magazines. As said above the quality of the magazine is well worth thecwait to get. Still much faster than waiting for thevprinted issuevto arrive in Australia.
