It also uses its own weird sound effects instead of the default one. The backspace also doesn’t work properly and does not resize correctly. ### 3/5 — Could work but buggy, needs fixing *2024-06-11, version 1.1.7* This is a great idea, works well... but only in Apple's built in apps, not any others. Uninstalling. *2023-11-10, version 1.1.7* It’s suggestions are really bad and there’s no way to override them on a word to word basis the way you can with the apple built in keyboard. And turning off suggestions completely isn’t an option because then you make too many mistakes. Also, they’ve tried to implement the space key navigation but for some reason it’s really clumsy and slow. ### 2/5 — Unfortunately the only option.. *2023-07-30, version 1.1.7* Needs a lot of work. Spell check, auto correct/capitalize, and alignment need to be reworked. Please give an update. Thanks for being an option. ### 2/5 — Needs a LOT of work. *2023-04-02, version 1.1.7* Well, it does split the keyboard, but most of the other functions simply do not work. Adjusting the cursor to the spot you want is near impossible. There is no way that I see to auto put a period at the end of the sentence. Often words will be capitalized out of nowhere and trying to get the cursor back to that spot….well I already mentioned that. Not worth the download for me ### 2/5 — Spell check, punctuation etc *2023-01-25, version 1.1.7* Its not nearly helpful as the Apple version which isn't supported on my ipad air 4th Generation device apparently due to the size of the screen which exceeds 10.5". this app does not use the spell checker inherent to your device but rather introduces their own which is not nearly on par witb the Apple keyboard. I use it for notes but nothing I would send out via email or publish. this app is no time saver. ### 2/5 — suggestions are awful *2022-12-26, version 1.1.7* You will need to turn off suggestions. The programming is useless and forces changes to your words often to things you are not searching for. it does not allow you keep your word if It wants to suggeat a correction. it does not auto capitalize as you can see. its amazingly bad but this is the only split keyboard that works on my ipad. ### 1/5 — Where is the comma? *2022-08-05, version 1.1.7* So there is jo comma in this keyboard.. ### 3/5 — Poor keyboard, But it provides critical feature *2021-07-04, version 1.1.7* Apples removal of split keyboard on iPad Pro seems like just a cash grab to force people buy their pencil. I simply prefer thumb typing. This app at least provides a split keyboard option for ipad pro users, but the auto correct is, amazingly, worse than apple's, you can't reposition the keyboard on the screen, the auto caps puts capital letters after commas, And there is no option to allow you to enter an intentionally misspelled word. A relatively poor keyboard overall, that would not be noteworthy except for the fact it provides a critical feature. ### 2/5 — Not great, barely acceptable. *2021-04-04, version 1.1.7* They keyboard itself is almost okay. It isn't good but not terrible. the biggest problem with the thing is that it turns off the decent Apple autocorrect and enables its own truly godawful autocorrect that actively works against you at every turn. Their autocorrect can be disabled but irelky pretry ehecolym on a litrle bit of help to tupn. There is no option to just turn on normal autocorrect and not use their terrible one that makes your typing worse and literally won't let you type a lot of words at all. This basically makes the keyboard nearly unusable for me. This is all Apple's fault for removing the real split keyboard. ### 1/5 — Dpn't bother *2021-01-05, version 1.1.7* Its got some ridiculous back space Capitalization problems. Uncontrollabe at times. I'm deleting it. ### 1/5 — No dictation button *2021-01-02, version 1.1.7* In order to use the split keyboard, you can’t use the dictation button. So you basically have to switch back-and-forth between the normal keyboard in order to access the dictation button. Makes the keyboard pretty useless. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can t disable the spell check *2026-05-16, version 1.2.0* I just hate spell check and autocomplete in general and I can't disable it here. For example it is hard to type “ilius b” it corrects it to Iliad. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2026-03-28, version 1.1.7* It has a feature that continues to change format and capitalizations. It makes autocorrect look good. It even decides to erase a line break and words from previous line at random. My hopes of having a split keyboard were NOT met. ### 1/5 — Wants your data *2025-07-06, version 1.1.7* Requires all the data that you type! ### 1/5 — Can’t make it work *2025-06-03, version 1.1.7* I have enabled all permissions but I do not know how to actually use it. The link to the developer is a dead end. ### 1/5 — Good Luck With Words The Keyboard Thinks Are Misspelled *2024-05-24, version 1.1.7* its Impossible to enter a word that the keyboard thinks is not spelled correctly. This includes word that aren't misspelled, but are simply not in the keyboard’s vocabulary. For example, it is impossible to type “keyboard’s” using the split keyboard. Good luck with a specialist medical term, or the name of a prescription medication like “Metformin”. The split keyboard will always change it to "Metro min". There is also no dictation button. These problems make the keyboard useless for me. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever..don’t waste your time *2024-05-15, version 1.1.7* This waste of a space app doesn’t even work… do not download ### 1/5 — Offensive Word Suggestions *2024-05-10, version 1.1.7* The keyboard isn’t the best but is a solution to Apple ditching the Split Keyboard on home button less iPads. The only problem I have with this keyboard is the fact that the Keyboard can suggest words that are seen as discriminatory or offensive. Once this is fixed I may start using it again. ### 1/5 — Still doesn’t work *2024-02-24, version 1.1.7* I had hoped this might solve the problem of the missing split keyboard on the new iPads, but sadly it doesn’t work. Is it exactly like the split keyboard on the regular ipad? No but it may do a couple of things better .. Like the coloured function keys and suggested spellings ... And you can quickly pause the suggestions if they give you the british spelling for things like 'colored' above ... I typed this review with it and I’m satisfied. Contrary to older comments here, you CAN switch the autocorrect off. Also, there are a lot of extra colors not shown in the screenshots and some of them are very nice, don’t worry about having only bright pastel colors. Only thing missing now is a transparent middle and the ability to raise it up the screen, but who knows if Apple even lets devs do that. ### 5/5 — Best split keyboard so far *2019-09-12, version 1.1.6* Love the keyboard. just a few things that would improve the experience. long press on keys to get the alternate values and a way to move / Float the keyboard up. other than that I really like how simple it is. Slight grammar issues when it comes to apostophies (it refuses to allow "Apple" to have a possessive apostrophe for example when auto/prediction is enabled).
