The Beans does all of the work for me and they’ve created a plan that I’ve been able to stick to. I laid down my debts and have now started saving every month. Select the + on the top right, then choose any transaction to make a new 'income'. I have been trying for and hour Everytime!!!!!!!!! I open the app my iPhone starts to over heat. On top of this they now have my bank information and I have no idea how to get past the set up, when I click app support it tries to open the app. I want my information removed immediately. I will post here everyday until I get a response. Ugh! I don’t want to be dealing with this nonsense! I'm sorry to hear that your phone is overheating, that is not something we have heard before. We have tested repeatedly and cannot reproduce this. Our engineering team asks if you may have additional apps open with high demand? It may be the combination of other apps running in the background with our dynamic animations that is causing your phone to overheat. We did cancel your account as soon as you requested it and have deleted all of your associated information from our servers. It has great potential once fully completed. ### 3/5 — Frustrated *2020-04-27* This app needs more work. The concept is great. A digital budget tool that not only helps you plan but also help you cope—the app implements breaks in between each step so as not to overwhelm yourself. That’s cool. But then like? It’s glitchy as hell. I had to contact customer support on step one. They were great. So professional and prompt and even updated the app to fix the bug. Sigh. But then I got to step 2. And I’m not contacting customer support again. For whatever reason, the transactions on my account don’t all show up through this app. There’s an option to report that however there is no option to manually add reoccurring expenses and income. Wouldn’t you think that that’s necessary? The aesthetic of the app is lovely but it isn’t super functional. It feels as if the app is still in the beta stage. Which is a deal breaker for me. I would delete my account but it looks like I’d have to contact customer support to do that. So. Whatever. In Step 2 our goal is to be sure that all of your essential accounts are connected, this way we can serve you with automatic support and you won't have to do the work to update your transactions weekly. You can manually add expenses in Step 3 if you would like so that your Plan is complete. We will review all of your feedback with our product design team to find ways to make this even easier for you. Finally, I noticed that one of your connected accounts belongs to a bank that we aren't able to serve at the moment. We serve nearly 10,000 banks, your feedback encourages us to connect with more. It ended up being moire trouble than it was worth. Pretty disappointed because I was really interested in the idea and spent $40ish on it :( ### 1/5 — Pulled $250 from my account *2022-10-04* They pulled $250 from my checking account without my permission. I now have a $100 late fee and a derogatory mark when I’m supposed to find a new lease on two months. The app is so buggy that I can’t even get it to pull up the supposed account it transferred the money to. I’m absolutely devastated. After going through our Essential Savings feature and granting permission to The Beans, we saved the money you asked us to and moved it to a wallet you control. I'm so sorry that this caused other issues with your finances. We always check to make sure you have enough money in your account to cover all upcoming bills X1.5 before making any transfers, just to be sure this exact thing doesn't happen. We are happy to cover the fee you incurred and to write a letter on your behalf to assist with getting your lease. You have to email the company. It’s ridiculous! I do not recommend this app based upon that alone. It’s also inaccurate in tracking my expenses and it’s incorrect in telling me what I’ve spent compared to the prior month. ### 1/5 — What is even going on? *2021-08-29, version 2.2.27* It’s just a screen with dots and acronyms that don’t have key. Wouldn’t connect with my back, claimed I’d hear from support within 2 days. A full month later and multiple emails and no response. It does not even appear to be finished. No way to edit bank information and after sitting with it for 2 months it still hasn’t “come up with a plan”. Went through registration only to see it’s not available in my area. Seeing as though the very first question is “where are you located”, that should’ve been the FIRST thing I knew. Wouldn’t have given them my information if I’d known they’d just keep me on hold until it’s available. Now i have another useless app that knows all my info.
