## What is The Beer Up Here?

The Beer Up Here is an iPhone app that features every brewery in Alaska and the beer they make.

This easy to use, ad-free app presents a simple, elegant interface that includes vital information and high-quality photography of each beer.

Each brewery has a custom page that includes a list of their beers, hours of operation, and links to call, visit their website and open up directions in maps. Touch the name of any beer and detailed information appears: style, ABV, IBUs, color, malts, hops and adjuncts. Tap the screen again and a full-screen photo of the beer fades into view.

Scroll through a slideshow of photos of each beer.

Keep track of beers you’ve tried using the iDrank feature.

Rate the beers you drink.

Submit photos of beers you drink for consideration in the app

The app also includes links to important beer resources in Alaska. Read Dr. Fermento’s blog, find local alehouses and growler bars to see what they currently have on tap by pushing the "On Tap" button. Discover the best places to buy local beer and where to pick up home brew supplies.

Think you’ve tried every beer in Alaska? Stay informed of new beer releases with The Beer Up Here. We are committed to staying up to date by getting new brews in the app as soon as possible. The app lets you know when new information has been added, and beers less than 30 days old have a yellow "new" banner. This app was made in Alaska by Alaskans.

### 4/5 — Update

*2017-05-17*

Great app for beer enthusiasts in Alaska but the app needs to be updated.

### 5/5 — Very good app

*2014-04-24*

I'm very impressed with how much work has gone into this app. I wasn't going to drop a couple bucks on it initially, but hey, that's less than a bomber of cheap beer. This is a great app for beer lovers in The AK. Thanks for keeping it updated.

### 5/5 — Great beer app!

*2014-01-16*

Best app for Alaskan beer lovers. I love the ability to keep track of the beers I have drank and the ability to rate them! Just wonderful!!

### 5/5 — Everything in one location

*2013-10-02*

I have apps like this for other states, but this one is smoother to navigate and looks better !!!

### 5/5 — Simply superb, salute!

*2013-09-01*

Professional, eye stimulating graphics. In depth information on an extensive number of beers. Very unique interactive feature of iDrank icon, love it! I also enjoy the ease of navigation through the app. Will recommend over and over. Nice work guys!

### 4/5 — Lack of listings

*2013-08-19*

Over all I am impressed with the extensive beer listings. Informative and extensive.

How do you contact the developer to add information. It is disappointing that only Brown Jug is listed for the growler bars. What about La Bodega on midtown? The first growler bar in anchorage I might add. Gold rush, value liquor etc all have a growler bat as well.

Also I would prefer to have a more detailed rating system. Some one could give an IPA a bad rating just because they don't like hoppy beers (myself included)

### 4/5 — Valuable Resource for AK Beers/Breweries

*2013-08-17*

This is an iPhone app, but it looks OK on my iPad. It lists all the operating breweries and their current beers. Hopefully they will be able to get up-to-date info from the breweries as new beers are released. If so, it will be enormously valuable to both locals and tourists alike.

### 5/5 — Happy Alaskan Beer Drinker

*2013-08-13*

I've been waiting for this app. Thank you lord (of beer). Next goal in life is to visit all the breweries in the 907. The name of this app is perfect: The Beer Up Here. Now you should make an app called: The Beer Down There.

### 5/5 — Great for Beer/Photo Enthusiasts

*2013-08-11*

Beautiful app. Navigation is super easy. Photos are awesome. Two suggestions: possibly the ability to make notes on the beer for personal use or recollection and a total counter or a counter per brewery to keep track of the number of beers drank versus beers yet to be sampled. Otherwise great job.

### 5/5 — This app is great!!!!

*2013-08-09*

I love the fact you can rate all the beers! Best of all it is all about Alaskan beers!
